Any GYEROers go to the concert? Be interesting to hear a rundown, especially if you take Barnhart at his word (I don't) that the concert was a trial run for alcohol sales at UK games.

If it counts, I got trashed on a neighbors patio listening to live music.

Requested a song for a certain poster and recorded part of it.

I feel like **** today.

Our recent amping up of the Dillingham recruitment has me a bit worried that the Wagner to UL stuff has legs. 10 years ago, Cal gets them both. But a) I'm not confident in current Cal to pull that off anymore and b) Rumors are that Dillingham and Wagner do NOT want to play together.

Im under the impression there’s a very real chance he reclassifies to 2022, in which case that would be a HUGE addition for next year.

Did anybody stop by the barbershop and buy an autograph from BBN's favorite Ashton Hagans?

The dude was on the news, at the barbershop, and he didn't even have a haircut....looked like he walked straight out of the trash. It was very on brand.

I’ll admit it. I went to Stapleton last night. It was a complete spontaneous weekend for me. Those have been so rare due to the obligations I’ve had over the last 15-20 years. Really felt like I turned back the clock a little bit and you know what? I still got it.

Random, unplanned Keeneland trip turned into “hey, we should go to the concert tomorrow night” while lounging around the patio at sunset. So my wife comes up spontaneously and we all head to the Kroger’s Field.

Rundown:

- Glorious day. Many were tailgating and forgot to apply sunscreen. Lots of radioactive cleavage bouncing around out there.

- logistically things ran pretty smooth for our group. For a first time event like that one, they were well prepared.

- Beer sales? It didn’t suffer.

- Sheryl Crow sounded great and looked great. I don’t know much about musics, but her tone and key sounded like the studio versions. No weird tuning arrangements or anything.

- Willie was Willie. He’s so old, man. Seemed like he limbered up and sang with a little more confidence the longer he was on. He played for a solid 50 minutes to an hour without any break. That’s impressive for someone looking at 90.

- Stapleton came out to please. He played at least 2 hours with no break. He sang the **** out of every hit and didn’t miss a note. You could tell it was early in his tour. Voice was strong . . . STROOOONNNNNG. I only wish another Kentucky boy made a guest appearance or he would have played a few of his Steel Drivers songs.

All in all, an awesome weather night with people I care about a lot, listening to live performances of an artist I appreciate, playing the type of music I really like.

I could really get use to this not having as many responsibilities on the weekend thing!

Don't hate on me because your smooth brain can't assimilate songs with more than a three chord progression.

Also, there are books w/o pictures in them, and you don't HAVE to move your lips when you read.

I usually stop at flutophone level and be done w/ it.....and my taste/diversity in music spans more genres than your drug induced mind can fathom. Stick to whatever it is that you are good at, please....that's a free tip.
