I think a lot of you don’t like Cal as a person, whereas I do like him a lot. I think he’s a good dude and has done a lot for our program. I am not in the least bit offended by him talking down or whatever. I never took it that way.

I do think he lost focus of the job at hand.

Who was Zion Williams’ Mama and why wouldn’t she sign the football permission slip? It’s crazy how fat that guy is, but you move him to the turf, where the best athletes play, and he’d be a monster.

-Cal has been recruiting elite athletes, and shadier handlers than Sharpe's, for 30 years. He got caught up in getting that #1 kid again and let it blind him from the obvious flags. Again, I don't mind taking a chance on the kid, but putting him in uniform and pregame was a massive blunder. I assume he was trying everything to get him to play but talk about all time back fires and POOOOOOR timing.

What's weird, and most concerning, Cal's strong suit was avoiding **** like this. Controlling these situations. FFS.

-I am in prove it mode with Cal but I'm going to enjoy the season with Oscar. No doubt.

*Wallace is as good/better than Washington. I love that kid. Hopefully he has Washington's mentality.
*Toppin is the guy, IMO. Potential is massive with that kid and he loves the lights.
*Still, the big question is at PG. Would love Wheeler to be 6th man.

-Kind of weird watching a generation pass us by. Roy, K, Wright(assume he'll coach again), Boeheim, Pitino all gone or irrelevant. The game is in a bad place without losing all the brand name coaches, IMO. Who's carrying the torch? Should be Cal but good lord he needs to get it together.

-One thing that is undersold as a parent is the weekend schedules. It's just game, practice, nap, lunch, game, birthday party, play, birthday party, birthday party, game. Shew. All good and fun but makes you appreciate a lazy weekend.

-Hopefully make it to watch our other hapless program tonight at KPP.

-Little sweet sweet taste of the most desirable 80s and then right back into those f*cking c*nt 50s. F*ck you weather. Long range is trending right though.

-Rex is a loser. Like a legit loser.

-41 creeping in. Meh. I've put that OTH **** behind me.

-135x12 OH & 100# bells BP x 15. 💪. M-F without sweets and minimal carbs but **** tons of protein.

-Might as well just admit this is going to be a 2nd year of not much outdoor biking. 😥

-Keeneland yesterday. Old Girl was looking great. I appreciate her under a grey sky. Plus the grass around here is just ridiculous right now. Definitely has that hue of blue.

* I remember Cal rolling into Lexington with his chainsaw werepecker running his mouth about the DDM -- the revolutionary offense that only he was wise enough to employ, but the chosen strategy for every single NBA team. Come to UK and learn to be a better pro. Didn't believe it then or now, but...

Welp, now we're seeing the latest iteration of the Warriors "death lineup," blitzing the league by showcasing 4 deadeye shooters and a small forward "big man." I mean, wtf happened to that old Cal? Did he forget about putting his players first?

* This Abercrombie & Fitch doc on Netflix is pretty good. Man, I can't tell you how many times in high school we walked all the way thru Sears just to pay A&F a visit and look at all the clothes we couldn't afford. The 18 year-old me wanted every single thing in that store.

By the way -- this is still a banger, 20 years later.

* The lass absolutely loves giving me very minor, simple tasks for no reason other than to exert her power. Just to keep me in line. Today it was loading up 2 very small boxes into her car before she goes to work. Do it as asked and I remain in her good graces. "Forget" and there's hell to pay.

* Really feeling a lot of Big Dick Energy lately.

* Anyone on here used to (or still) wear Nautica? Man, what a pretender ***, janky loser brand. Bet krazykats cleans up at their outlet store every time he's in Pigeon Forge.

* I believe the term is that John Calipari was "made a cuckold of." Am I using that correctly, grammatically speaking?

* That Iron Mike Tyson video from his Jet Blue flight was awesome. How many times I gotta tell you guys? Don't start none, won't be none.

* I think the first reaction to Jay Wright's very sudden retirement was to question whether or not he was involved in some sort of sexual harassment scandal or other marital impropriety, but can you imagine a woman telling him "no?" Sorry. Not gonna happen.

Tommy Hilfiger was my go to when it mattered in high school. College was Old Navy/American Eagle when I had to pay.

Now days it’s mostly Tshirts, hoodies, jeans, khaki shorts.

Va Tech can easily get back to 8-10 wins per year. Easily, just need a decent coach.

ACC is 1 good team and then the rest.
VA is loaded with prep talent.

Abercrombie doc was nostalgic for sure. I guess I still don’t understand why the business decision to hire good looking people to sell their clothes is so morally reprehensible. It was a business decision that worked and then didn’t.

The whole Rex thing is befuddling to me. It goes to show you how many idiots are in high positions.
100% of the people in this thread told you how this would turn out. And with absolute certainty.
The greatest brand in history, coca cola, had some nitwit get rid of the most desirable product in history for something new.
Same goes for Mingione. 100% of UK fans that follow baseball, told you he was done several years ago. We all, with absolute certainty, told you this year would be even worse, and here we are.
I don't care about woman's basketball, but I'll contend that Elzy not being fired will result in the same outcome.
It gives me so much hope that our AD is among the dumbest leaders in American history.

This X infinity. Toppin is the guy that can make a HUGE difference with his energy and realizing his untapped potential. He's the guy who can more than replace Brooks in the starting lineup.

CNN+ was a dumb idea. That said, Kasie Hunt does it for me.

That March Madness Show with Rex was atrocious. Both he and Candace Parker were terrible. Rex saying R.I.P. to a still-live Pete Gillen and Candace saying multiple times that "X" needed to be more aggressive when said player was having a dominant game already.

You all think you know how crazy the car market is. 2021 RAV4 Prime SE with 20K miles goes through an online auction yesterday. Original MSRP was $41K. Winning bidder was $58,000. Toyota dealer somewhere. This whole thing is stupid. Just like the housing market.

Burning through a podcast that tells stories of the Old West and outlaws. Billy the Kid, Jesse & Frank James, Tombstone, John Wesley Hardin, Lincoln County War, etc. My dad had those Time Life books, and I read them all cover to cover back in the day. Love that stuff.

Damn, Chad, you watched the Doc and still don’t get it? I was forced to take my daughter to A&F many times during her middle and high school years. My memories of that joint is … very loud, very dark, and very very white. Very white. And I spent a lot of money there lol. Having a daughter, is awesome. And insane. You’ll see.

In Scottsdale/Phoenix for a mini vacay with the Lass. Place is really cool. Unreal climate. Felt like early October last night and although it hit 88 yesterday there was a great breeze and zero humidity with no clouds , blue skies and the sun reminds me of Southern California the way it’s so bright.

Hiking Camel Back in a bit. Enjoyed an agreeable meal last night Al Fresco style near Old Town, will do the same this evening as we have reservations at this steak and seafood joint, Buck and Rider.

After our hike this morning I’m hopping in an Uber to a local dispensary for some choice Sativa so the tunes by the pool later today will slap even harder. Happy Friday, folks.

I only recall having one article of clothing from A&F, purchased for me by an ex ol' lady. Nautica was my #1 preferred brand.

This pic was taken on campus on Tuesday. Source: my kid's phone. I don't know what to believe anymore about Sharpe. Are we sure he actually exists?

I've probably watched DoneDeal's Sharpe video 10 times since last night. Showed it to my wife (who is only marginally interested in basketball) and she belly laughed. Every time I watch it, it gets funnier and funnier. There are so many incredible details. Sharpe loafing around like a spaz in orange shorts and missing jump shots. ENG holding Calipari up on a hoverboard. The works.

Easily the best thing about the Shaedon Sharpe era.

Why, if u were a future nba draft pick or a parent of one, hand over the reigns to a slime ball “advisor”?

Keep the circle small, hire a solid attorney, and let the kid focus on bball.
Lol, you kidding? 90% of the high level basketball kids have these guys. The AAU Circuit was built on this. Plus, kids with questionable upbringings and LOTS of kids with no Dad in the picture. Meal ticket, doggie.
