- You must be a girl or something. This is incredibly false. Winona was pure sex.
- Best Justified character? F**k you. C’mon.
- You run into an ******* in the morning, you ran into an *******. You run into ******** all day, maybe you're the *******.
- Best thing about a gringo Mexican joint is how you can just look the server in the eye, give him a knowing nod, and say four words - jumbo Texas margarita, rocks. And lo and behold - you have a half a fifth of cheap tequila appear in front of you, with lots of corn syrup and orange slices. Divine.
- I take most of my lunches at local taquerias anymore. Have a solid rotation that I work. San Miguel at 8th and Madison in Covington is my favorite. Had a 24 oz Corona Familiar with my sopes al pastor today. Came really, really close to walking straight back to my office, and resigning. Maybe next Friday.
- I’ve been in Frankfort a lot for work lately. The old part of downtown, by the river, St. Clare Street, the Singing Bridge. That’s a cool area. So old. Some really neat residential blocks with ancient, beautiful homes. Right on the river, limestone bluffs across. Normally, being in court sucks, but that courthouse and its setting kind of has a cool vibe that otherwise rejuvenates my forsaken soul.
- May have mentioned this before, but the Steep Canyon Rangers have a 2018 album called Out in the Open. It’s really incredible. And most importantly for present purposes - it’s an incredible Saturday morning album. Put it on tomorrow morning while you’re browning some Goetta slabs for the kids.
- Really wish I was going to the spring game tomorrow, but I have something even better planned. Rented out an entire bowling alley for my 7 year olds bday party. Going to have 23 first graders, all their siblings, parents, and some other randoms rolling some balls. Lots of moms and dads, not stressed or angry, housing tall domesto drafts, and actually, a little bit smugly happy that it’s touching icing out, as we’ve got a really good setup.
- This is an old house we’re rolling at. Basically untouched since it was built in the 70’s, but well maintained, and strong. A viable place. Bottom of Waterworks in Newport. Come down at noon tomorrow, I’ll buy you a beer. Ask for Wynn Duffy.
