Got tix to Evil Elvis, aka Danzig for next month.
I called and they said it was an account issue that someone from their tech center would have to fix. They gave me a month for free

Golf and Misc. Randos:
*I'm terrible at golf. Like I'm talking embarrassingly bad. Can't even play a casual round with friends/family without ruining the flow of play with awful shot after awful shot. I was an athletic kid at most things, i.e. football, basketball, track, but I've always been total **** at golf, baseball, and tennis. Just can't hit balls. (I also come from a family of golfers. Two of my cousins were state champions and my uncles are all pretty damn good).
*Why do the caddies dress like mechanics. All of the decorum involved, and they're just out there in coveralls? A vestige of a different time where the help needed to be kept "in their place"?
*I've always been fascinated that pimento cheese sandwiches were a part of the Augusta experience. I worship pimento cheese, so I've been looking for the recipe this afternoon.
*Has anybody in the gallery ever been effed up from an errant tee shot at a PGA event? If so, is it on youtube?
*Been getting back into hiking lately. Did a trail at Breaks Interstate Park last weekend that is basically a loop around the entire park. Walking straight uphill via switchbacks over rocks for about 2 miles was humbling. A hobby as rigorous or casual as you want to make it. Just being outside is important.
*I can't talk about Kentucky basketball anymore. I get irrationally upset about the state of things.
*A nice wok and a freezer stocked with frozen veggies is a great kitchen hack for a quick weeknight supper. Stir-fry ftw.
*I like Pillsbury cookies more than most homemade cookies.
*Most homemade cookies only taste good within 2 hours of baking. They have no shelf life.
*7 mph over the speed limit is the sweet spot. Also, I strictly adhere to speed limits in work zones, school zones, and neighborhoods. I think safety is paramount in those areas.
*Anybody else into board games? I love a good board game. Monopoly is trash, and I don't really like Clue, but I'm all in on the rest.
-I hate card games that don't involve money, though.
*I've gotten really good at leaving business related voicemails. Straight to the point. Repeat my name and number twice.
*Nintendo Switch is a lot of fun, but they just don't pump out the games like the big boy gaming systems.

Parcheesi is an awesome board game and, other than Monopoly, is the best family/friend “fight in a box” game out there.

For us NKY uk/cincy sports fans, Aristides Aquino hitting second tonight and Tommy Pham batting cleanup is about as depressing as our hopes are for Cal to turn this thing around.

- Took me like 3 months of my wife getting pregnant to realize that most of the time you’re actually doing the people offering you toys/clothes/etc a favor as much as they are doing you. It’s a thank you/you’re welcome situation.
- Few movies nailed marriage quite like “Knocked Up” did with Paul Rudd/Leslie Mann.
- Speaking of Leslie Mann, she’s the the most underrated actor in Hollywood as far as I’m concerned. Steals every scene she’s in.
- Of course, I’m no longer at UK but I imagine Will Levis is reaching the upper echelon of UK “Big Man on Campus” lore. Not there with Tim Couch, Sonny Collins, John Wall, etc. quite yet but approaching that air. Charisma.
- Ian Noe’s new album is awesome.
- Name a better 1-2 in modern country music than “Seminole Wind” and “Straight Tequila Night.”

Plan on wearing my snow boots and parka to keeneland on Saturday but doesn’t make me any less excited to go. MattCats post just further pumped me up. Heading down to my old Kentucky home tomorrow, can’t wait. It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve lived in Lexington but I love that place as much as anywhere else.
