I mean, I still can't understand how we lost to an awful Saint Peter's team. They are terrible. Even if we've been declining since January and the writing was on the wall that we were losing earlier than expected, I just cannot reconcile the fact that our squad this year was (at its worst) pretty good and we lost one of the worst upsets ever.

There are plenty of things I'm mad at the Fat Wop about but yesterday was so utterly bizarre that I'm still not totally positive about what actually happened. I guess I should rewatch it if I want more insight but f*** that.

Also, we are still best off if Calipari just gets his **** together and takes over for K as the game's most esteemed coach. K reinvented himself. It seems so simple for Calipari to do the same but if it was that simple. it would have already been done.

They shot 51% and we shot 39% from the floor, they shot 85% from the line and we shot 65%.

In OT we were 1-8 from FT with 2-3 crucial TOs in the last 2 minutes.

They scored on seemingly every possession once they got down 6 in OT.

The stats tell the story without watching it again.

The Peacock coach, whatshisface, summed it up pretty well after the game

Were you nervous?
“For what? It’s just basketball”

Said it with a grin, and thick accent. Sort of reminded me of Doron Lamb.

We played tight as hell, nervous as heck, and we got beat by a team that just went out and balled. It’s just basketball.

These guys are all driven by ego. The reason to leave Waco is because it’s Kentucky calling.
He built that program from scratch and won a national title. He has nothing to prove by coming here - unlike Cal and Pitino. It’s the same reason Donovan never pulled the trigger, imo - there was no reason. He could do anything at Florida he could do here. The only challenge he had left was the NBA.

He got out coached. It isn’t E=mc2 stuff. It’s the basics. How to stop an opponents run by switching up the defense. Perhaps calling a TO and talking calmly to kids that are rattled. A different f’n inbounds play other than the one we run, etc.

Cal ran a soft three quarter court press that started the whole damn thing in the 1st half. He got St. Peter’s in a groove with those easy baskets.

He’s a salesman. The worst kind. The one who thinks he can talk his way into any sale. UK fans don’t play that ****. Win or GTFO, Grant Cardone of hoops!

I hate Coach K but at the end of the day the man hates losing more than anything in the world and that's his motivation. We on the other hand have fat Elvis, a guy who once was a phenomenon but now a shell of his former self surrounded by sycophants who call him the King. Instead of forgettable movies and a Vegas lounge act, we have forgettable teams and a bunch of sizzle and no steak.

The mark of a crappy coach in my opinion is when you're playing inferior talent but your team makes it look like you're evenly matched. Occasionally there were games under Pitino, Tubby and some of the Cal years where we were missing shots and the other team was hitting everything, but you knew we were going to pull it out because it was fluky. Watching that game I didn't ever think, "wow, we're significantly more talented at every position than these guys"... even though we were. That's because Cal's coaching made our guys look terrible. Reminded me of the VMI game under Billy G. I felt like we looked like evenly matched teams in that one.

Spent all season laughing at UNC hiring Hubert Davis, and right now I’m watching them spank Baylor.

Maybe Baylor comes back, but it’s not looking good.

I’m not letting John Calipari’s incompetence completely ruin my NCAA-T enjoyment.

Always have, and always will, worship March Madness.

F*ck it…let’s go Racers (grew up in Paducah, played Region 1 games there, so I’m comfortable adopting Murray St. as my back-up squad).

At this point I’m holding out hope that Cal and LeBron have worked out their differences, LeBron pushes for Cal to become the Lakers’ next coach and it happens. Typically in the past whatever LeBron wants from the franchise he plays for he gets.
I have a better chance of coaching the Lakers than John Calipari ever being involved again with Lebron/Rich Paul.

Donovan didn’t take the job in 07 because Pitino told him not to and those close to Pitino are fiercely loyal to him.

Going to slip back in here and ask a question that's been bugging me the last few days:

Did we turn down Kofi Cockburn when he was willing to come here after Oscar was already on the team?

If so, let me get this straight--Calipari turned down a monster 1st team All-American who wanted to play here to not disrupt team chemistry. But took a high-lottery pick to sit on the sidelines all year and never play as if it wouldn't bother team chemistry.

If this is the case, he truly doesn't care about winning. Not sure what he's trying to do, but it isn't about winning.

F'er needs to go.

Top level recruits know they can use/play us.

Coaches know they can out scheme us.

Other programs know they can put up Twitter posts mocking our stupid *** uniforms.

There's blood in the water, and it has been there for awhile. It stings.

The little cutesy Twitter brags after regular season wins infuriated me. That's not how the gold standard has to act but these loser mfers let us get there.

This admin has lost it from the top to the bottom. This is the same AD who had to be strong armed into giving Stoops a new indoor facility.

It's not on the kids (but come on Grady), it's on the "leadership". And this leadership can suck my balls. Idiots.

We’re just delaying the inevitable.

I love Kentucky Basketball. I will always love it. I take pride in being a native born Kentuckian and the University, and as byproduct it’s athletic teams, representing the hopes and dream of the entire Commonwealth.

I will always hope we win and never cheer for us to lose but if going through another shitshow, humiliating 9-17 type season is what forces that ********** to go….so be it.

This is the most inexplicable aspect of our late-season collapse.

Really hard to put my finger on it. Certainly, TyTy’s injury really seemed to affect his lateral quickness. But Wheeler and Grady were atrocious guarding the ball in recent games.

Oh well…I’m sure John’s got it all figured out.

"Please steer your disappointment to me"

Oh, we are, you ****ing self righteous martyr. Not a soul is blaming the kids on this team, an incredibly likeable bunch of kids, for what happened. It's on you, it's all on you.

Oh there are still some who are blaming the players trying to defend Grand Poobah.

Am I the only one that hates/despises the whole #BBN experience? I'm tired of all the hype videos and everything else associated with #BBN(branding, apparel, etc..).

I'll liken it to a 5 star restaurant that has lost their touch because they have gone to cheaper ingredients but people keep coming back for the glitz and glamour.

Looking forward to a UNC, KU, UT Final 4. Nothing like seeing teams you beat by 30 keep playing after you lost to a community college.
