I had a very enjoyable meal at The Precinct following UK's victory last evening. Perfection.

Just got on the Catspaw and now feel as tho I missed a better time watching the Dukie's hopes and dreams being shat upon, everything good in their lives torn asunder.

Thanks for getting me caught up.

That was an amazing run for the women this weekend. 4 wins in 4 days including 3 straight over ranked teams, the final over the #1 team in the nation.

And a huge weekend for all of UK Athletics. Gymnastics win at #5 LSU, baseball took 2 of 3 from #8 TCU, the man winning in Gainesville, and so on. Hope we keep all this positive momentum going for about 4 more weekends.

I hope that lady returns that watch to Cal just for the fact that some Internet sleuth is going to dox and out her. Way too much of that stuff happens already in social media. Especially on TikTok.

On a rewatch of Breaking Bad. The wife has never seen it before. I had forgotten how damn fine looking Krysten Ritter was as Jesse’s girlfriend in Season 2. And I was reminded again how incredible the writing was for those shows at the end of that season.

People who use YouTubeTV- what’s your option for Reds games?

Bout to drop DirectTV stream. It’s as janky as a wooden football schedule sign on Nicholasville Road.
I picked up att during the season, it's awful but the only option or you can do the IP/MLBTV thing.

So the Lakers HBO show is the sports version of the Big Short and Vice? I mean that’s fine but seems like a shortcut.

We had ours completely removed and a new one built a couple of years ago w/ a different design than what was originally there. I had 3 quotes from the dozens that are out there, and ultimately decided on this company. He was meticulous and did a great job.

Or you could save yourself a TON of money and build it yourself.

I’m not even particularly handy, and even “I” have managed to build decks at three of the homes I’ve owned. One of which was a wraparound bi-level on a STEEP grade.

Seriously. Next to a privacy fence it’s the easiest thing to build.

-Quick trip out to Breckenridge with some of the crew. Went there for a week in HS, watched the 98 Final Four out there, and had always wanted to get back. Cool place though. We all thoroughly enjoyed.

*Hadn't been on skis in nearly 10 years. Like a bike though. Couple runs and I was right back being comfortable.
*Altitude kicks my *** way more these days. Was doing everything I could to stay ahead of it with hydration.
*Having an actual town around the slopes is really nice. Plenty to do, lots of bars and restaurants. Actually had ride shares.
*Woke up at 5:45a yesterday, drove 2 hours though mountains and a blizzard, flight delayed, missed connection, 5 hours in Detroit, finally home around 10:30p last night. Fairly certain my trip to Tanzania took less time door to door.
*Airports and Airlines are going to mask forever, aren't they? FFS.
*People out there aren't really my favorite. They're alright but nothing like home. Even with Northeasterners you know what to expect. Make me appreciate MW/Southern peeps even more.
*I can assure you I'm not waiting 10 years to get back out on the slopes. Actually about time to get little man some lessons.

-Cal stall ball isn't the play with these guys. We're not wired that way this year. We don't have to run break neck and get in transition but just keep the flow going. Can't keep letting mediocre teams hang around.

-Skyy seems like a good enough kid but those rumblings had been swirling since last summer. I'm guessing if he wasn't injured they would've parted ways a long time ago. I know he was just back off injury but that game he played on ESPN, he looked rough.

-I'm a long time Hoops hater but props to Howard/Edwards. That was really cool.

-Feel like this is basic common sense BUT don't get busted with drugs in foreign countries. Especially one that is currently invading other countries, threatening nuclear actions, hates America. Just watch "Locked Up Abroad" a few times.

-SEC is just loaded this year. We're not even going to get a warm up game. Bama, UT, Auburn/Ark. Sweep that and give us Chicago.

-Rumors that KU gets it penalties this week. 50-60 wins would be my main preference. Anything else is gravy, baby.

-Cal was a gif/meme all weekend. Lol. That face/dance after the Oscar steal and dunk was fantastic. Who loses a Rolex and just doesn't really look for it?

-Oscar with his first 1st Team AA Honors.

-How bout those gas prices? Shesh.

Not only did he not look for his Rolex, the person that found it was holding it 2 seats behind him wondering where it came from, he literally could have just turned around and found it.

-parquet courts show was dope. Set list:

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/parquet-courts/2022/cannery-ballroom-nashville-tn-b898dba.html

^high energy. Crowd was wild but happy, no shenanigans. Bought a shirt...surprisingly it was made in the USofA. A few masks...bouncers were checking Vax cards.

-hit grimeys records on way to the hotel. Nice place, bought some stuff , including a 180g limited edition reissue of straightaways from son volt (gyero is a harbinger, gang).

-preshow burgers at stock and barrel, solid.

-nice father daughter trip.

-had to go to Knoxville yesterday w/ English Jay to pick up his sons birthday present: 1989* F150 2wd. Great condition...age appropriate wear. Super cool ride for a hs kid.

*man the truck looks "old"/vintage...and I was a senior in hs when it was made. Life is short...be nice to folks and do as much cool stuff as time/budget allows.

Went to Breckinridge this fall and it killed our whole group. It’s interesting, the altitude… until we drove back to Denver and realized “oh right, Breckinridge is like twice as high up as Denver and we were hiking up mountains to boot and ignoring literally all of the ‘tips to avoid altitude sickness’ like a bunch of morons” so yeah I get it.

So the VP of ESPN Louisville, who just got to celebrate landing Louisville football and basketball games on their airwaves may not be around to see it come to fruition? Man, you just hate to see it.

-It is nice breathing Lexington air with oxygen in it. Even the air in the Denver airport made such a difference. We were able to take the stairs without almost passing out. I was toast Thursday night upon arrival. Between the lack of sleep the night before leaving (while packing ALL of my luggage), hunger headache on 1st flight, tension headache on 2nd flight and car sickness through the mountain traffic, byhen altitude, I couldn’t do anything but hang out in the bathroom and go to bed early. Felt great Friday and ran 4.5 miles in the elevation and did alright.

-Speaking of the Denver airport, that monstrosity, will make you appreciate the Lexington airport. It is so huge and everything takes forever.

-The Detroit airport is nice though and provided plenty of walking space to get some exercise in.

-As for the aloof/seemingly unfriendly attitudes of people, I made it my goal to say hi/good morning to everyone I passed while I was running. I got a few responses.

-Cats.
