UC in the Big 12 will be fun to watch. I’m no UC fan, but I do have an amount of respect for them. They could be number 2 in that conference quickly. In any event the only reason I mention this is that I will be able to drive 10 minutes from my house at least once every two years and heckle Kansas in person.

I always like to hear the Tyler song where he sings about catching Muskie. Such a Kentucky thing, that I doubt anyone outside of the state that hears that gets.

On the road 8ppg and 23% from deep and 53% from the ft line - 3 reb, 3ast, and 2 turnovers.

Love the guy, I realize he's had some injuries, but he's regressing. It's probably a confidence thing.....seemed like he was $ from deep early on. I was thinking he could have a legit 20/5/5 type season. We gotta get him going, especially from 3, before the tourney. He needs to be special for us to make a deep run. He, Mintz, and Grady cannot put up any more clunkers. We need 45 between the three regardless of how it breaks down. Hell Grady could score 45 and mintz and tyty 0 and I'd be fine w that.

I'm not sure what's changed that made such a drastic drop in our defense but I hope it's fixable. I don't buy it's because Wheeler and TyTy were out as Arkansas cooked us and they played. The whole GD thing revolves around making 3s....when we can hit a few threes early it gets everyone up and going. The sluggish starts can't happen anymore.

I'd much rather Cal practice with them than do the SECt. There's a few holes that need to be filled before I think you can call us legit contenders...we're just not consistent enough right now.

You cannot have your 4 guards combine for 27pts, 3 of them were pegged as 40% 3pt shooters preseason, one was a lotto psick, one who leads the SEC in assists(or did recently), one who is our best returning player and seems to have regressed, and Grady who is all over the place lately. But it all starts with TyTy, if he can get back to the guy that shot 40% from 3, was automatic from mid range, and found someone if they were open....I think we will be fine in March.

Today was an all systems fail minus Oscar. They shot over 50%(have I mentioned our defense has been awful in the last few games) and nobody on our team seemed to care much about winning other than Oscar. Wish we would've rested TYTy and Wheeler again, they played....badly....and if they were anything less than 100% they didn't need to be out there. I get that it's for a 1 seed and that's huge, but I do wonder how healed up they were. Definitely hope it's not something that's going to linger.
