-yep, bern. When I was doing charitable work in Haiti they had as put that in a waste basket rather than flush. One of the few times having "travel constipation" was a good thing.

-nor did i.

-your commemorative poster means bubkis, bub. I assume my omission/your "forgetfulness" was somewhat fueled by your anger at me limp-sprinting past you in the 1/2 mile race to finish 3rd from last. It's hurtful, tbh.

-obligatory reminder that I was faster than everyone not named Adrian...at 246 lbs and hungover.
I walked the 1/2 mile after pulling my hammy in the sprint. You didn't need to sprint past me. The only reason I even walked it was because Anth (yes, even back then he had to be the ruler and expert at everything) said if I didn't participate in the 1/2 mile I was DQ'd in the whole competition.

Anyway, here is the Facebook convo about the HR Derby from 10+ yrs ago, when it happened.

The first year I think we used actual baseballs (or was it softballs?) and had a designated pitcher.

Most importantly, the after party was touching amazing. Bonzo Nation, Thumper and the Plaid Rabbits. A bunch of ******** drinking beer and having fun together. We should do it again tonight.

-I know you were hobbled, as was I (turns out running the 100 w/o stretching is a bad idea for a 40yo ) calves cramped up...we walked and chatted til the last few yards...thus the term limp-sprinted.

-I know I hit 1...I wouldn't lie about a second place tie w/ pti in an event that required hand eye coordination. I specifically remember Anth saying that he knew "the big guys" would do well in that event in the direct aftermath.

^regardless it was a blast...and we raised money for charity. Needs to happen again.

This is how my day is going. Below is an actual email I had to send out this morning.

Team,

During your start up meetings, please explain (once again) the proper way to use the restrooms!

  1. When using the restroom, only use toilet paper. Paper towels should ONLY be used to dry their hands.
  2. Do not fill toilets with toilet paper before trying to flush. Multiple flushes are acceptable, if not preferred
  3. All used toilet paper is to be put in the toilet and NOT on the floor
Failure to follow these simple rules will lead to immediate corrective actions up/to including termination.

This is being done by Cubans that haven't been in the country very long. Apparently, due to most of them not being used to flushing toilets, they place their **** paper on the floor.
Don’t flush a lot of toilet paper in third world countries.

Most times, yes. I’m also gutting an Ocharlies in Louisville right now. Same deal. Get all kinds of cool ****. UK nutter field house a few years ago was a good one. All kinds of left behind Nike gear and old apparel.

B Money - it’s going to be a split tenant space. A chipotle on one side. Other side is tbd

When I worked at Office Max way back when, they would “zero out” various items on occasion, which meant they were no longer technically in inventory and had to be taken out back and destroyed. Furniture, copiers - we had free reign to f*** it up. It was cathartic.

Of course, people stole most of the small stuff, which raised some semi-interesting ethical arguments about whether it was actually stealing to take something the company had deemed valueless. Anyway, it was a terrible job but I also got my own box cutter.

Maybe my memory is fading in my old age but I don't recall another baseball field near us that was occupied.

We did 4 events right there together and I don't recall anybody around other than the random lurker that showed up to watch.

Maybe this will refresh your memory... Here are a couple of the players from the other field walking by as Booker chips like a pro.

Helluva bad beat last night for those who had the Kansas total points over of 76.5. Jayhawks had 76 points at the 5 minutes left and missed everything the rest of the game. They still won comfortably, but that kind of beat is soul crushing.

I took in over $500 worth of coins to the bank today which meant I had to see the "coin guy," who gave me all of the foreign coins they had stored up which they deemed worthless to them. Not worthless for a world traveler however! /profit

Nope.

I think you are getting the years confused. Who won that chipping/pitching contest from that photo year? If that is from year 1...there was only one pro there that day.

I recall a tree that provided quite a bit of shade near our swing area.

you bought your own... apparently, there is a difference between robbing someone with your own box cutter, versus saying to the police that "Yeah Luther from the meat department gave me a bunch of these razors"

Luther had his own list of priors as I recall. All non-violent.

I only went one year. And I took the pictures. I'm not getting anything confused.

It's not my fault you apparently can't remember ****.

Maybe come out of Jason Witten's basement every once in a while and get some fresh air.
