Hey, I'm just glad we were able to split with Bama this year. 2-0 on the court and 0-2 in the shot chart battle. Though the latter is disappointing, you still gotta feel good considering it came against NJW.
I said it a few weeks ago, and I respect Wheeler and love having him but he is more of a spark plug off the bench type guy to me than a constant consistent calming PG to lead a championship team.
Today Mintz was as good as he could be and this game goes to show we are capable.
Would love to see TyTy get a long run at PG in a game or two leading to March!

We beat a top 25 team by 9 and put up 90...without the SEC assist leader and without our NBA lottery pick.
I think I may have actually enjoyed this home W more than the thrashing we gave UT last month. Just an incredible effort all around today.

Completely disagree with your Wheeler take. He has off days but he always puts pressure on the opponent on both ends. And occasionally he’s brilliant.

In the first 5 minutes of the game he went 3-3 with 6 of our first 11 points.
Bad Brooks and we are down 17-5 and it is possibly a different game.

This team and that game had a 90's feel to it. A throwback to when cbb was a joy to watch. Not a shock the refs kept their whistles in check and outside of that silly-*** review, let the teams play. Be nice if we could get that formula for the tourney.

- I completely fangirl'ed out today bumping into MKG in the UK bookstore. The only player I'd ever stop like that for a pic request, and he obliged kindly. That's when I knew it was gonna be a good day.
- Kid was touring UK today, and we wrapped up at some kind of resource fair during the opening minutes of the game (which was playing on large screens all around the ballroom in the student center). When Bama was up 17-9, I heard more than one college staffer say something along the lines of "We'll come back". THAT'S what makes this team different.
- Had never really been on UK's campus before, save for Memorial and the Singletary Center. Nice campus, and what they've done in completely overhauling student housing is incredibly impressive.
- It's been said before, but winning a big game early in the day, whether on a Saturday or during the tournament, makes hoops-watching the rest of the day THAT much sweeter.
- There's no comedy quite like reading back through GYERO during a big comeback win.
