I HAVENT SEEN JACOB SINCE WE LEFT COLUMBIA 10 DAYS AGO. I DONT EVEN KNOW IF WE CAN FIELD A TEAM TOMORROW WE MAY HAVE TO PLAY THR STUDENT MANAGERS. WHAT?!

Hey, Cal, STFU, be honest with us. I have no time for this as we head into late February. Unless someone is injured they better be playing.

If I hear one more person say.. “As long as we have our full roster come tournament time we’ll be in good shape” I’ll vomit.

It doesn’t work like that. You just don’t flip a switch. Historically, this time of year Championship teams are hitting their stride with all pieces in place and in a rhythm like a fine tuned engine.
We had started to click right before the back to back Travis/Washington injuries in ‘19.

This would be good. Hope it happens.

I’ve been to Nissan Stadium a few times and actually like it. Of course I do t have anything to compare it to as far as NFL stadiums, but it’s easy in and out, upper deck isn’t a bad spot, and the suites(at least LP’s suite) is amazing.

Sharing the field with a soccer team is terrible though and noticeable even on TV.

Patton Museum was pretty awesome years ago but not so much now. Took my kids a couple of years ago and it was disappointing. A lot of the tanks, the interactive stuff has all been moved to the Armor school at Ft. Benning.

My kid hasn't complained about masks in nearly 2 years unlike literally every other subject known to man.
Same… i was about to razz people like Anth for saying we’re committing Nazi-like atrocities to our children by making them wear a mask to school, especially since my kids haven’t complained about it once. But then I realized they whine about literally everything else so who am I to judge?

You're just a real pandemic success story. Good for you. I'm just surprised they make a mask that fits your head.

- Hank, Last weekend I posted a goddamned link and detailed explanation for how to have real Delta 9 gummies delivered to your mailbox. Here it is: https://enjoyhemp.co/shop-by-category/delta-9-thc-fully-compliant/delta-9-thc-gummies-terpenes/ I don’t like repeating myself, so that is my last public service announcement on the issue.

- This ice pack is the evilist **** I’ve ever tried to move, and I’ve moved a lot of slop in my time. Flat blade spade and calcium chloride, one square foot at a time. It’s like trying to turn over a garden, by hand, of rock solid frozen earth. Just miserable. Good beer drinking project, tho.

- I typically promptly clear the sidewalks in front of my house, as well as that of my elderly neighbor, as I am a nice guy and also a former Eagle Scout. But not with this ****. If you insist on walking your dog or jogging in this ****, you’re a dumbass and you deserve to assume all risk.

- Listened to Metamodern Sounds all the way through and without interruption while performing said tasks. Such a transformative album, and a GOAT in whatever category you can fit it in. I don’t think there is a category, to be honest. It just stands alone.

- Between having Covid and ICE, I’ve left the house twice, for any prolonged period of time, in the past two weeks. In a really weird place emotionally. Need some goddamned normalcy with a quickness.

- At least we have the 1 seed juggernaut CATS to get us through this ****. Bama is getting the pear of anguish tomorrow night.

- Some say it might make you go crazy, but then again it might make you go sane.

Notchlick, looks like my buddy Kooky had my back. Please see above.

It’s nice to hear these comments from folks about their good experiences with readily accessible cannabis that the mailman delivers. It can be life changing man, in such positive ways. Without getting into unnecessary details, I’ve struggled with anxiety and such my whole life. Tried a variety of prescription medicines. They all end up letting you down. Cannabis, on the other hand, used correctly and responsibly, is a goddamned revelation of life man. I’ve been on this experiment long enough to think that I can say that I speak from a position of knowledge on this subject.

Ended up making plans to meet my brother in law and my nephew at the Postmaster’s Pub tomorrow before the game. Looks like a solid spot for a bite and a good beer.

As a public mea culpa, I’m kind of ashamed that my son is in the third grade and hasn’t been to Rupp yet. Feel like I’ve been asleep at the wheel. Maybe there were Covid reasons, maybe not. But this is a good example to the conversation earlier about just generally missing out on doing **** over the past two years. Time to snap the f**k out of it and get back to living the right way.

I fully understood the intent of your post, Padre. Nothing directed at me, I get it. I take you for a man’s man and I’ve always really liked you. Particularly our mutual affinity for Toyota trucks. But I’m also the son of many generations of German Irish halfbreed blue collar f**ks that would bust your face as soon as look at you.

Had to go buy my wife a 270 dollar Kate Spade purse at Dillard’s today as recompense for being an ******* last night. I mean, it wasn’t really a bad night by any stretch. Just one of those nights when you come home after a 13 hour day, and you’re naturally in an ******* mood, and your spouse justifiably reminds you of it. My not so subtle reminder at 7:20 this morning walking out the door on the way to school dropoff was that I would be buying a particular purse today. So that’s what you do. And all is well on the other side of the rainbow.

* IMHO Myaim Bialik is annoying as the host of Jeopardy; especially the way she sashays in. She often seems condescending as well. I prefer Ken Jennings.

* I learned something very unexpected at my brother’s visitation.
WARNING: long winded story.
Back story: my brother and both of his daughters were/are rabid UaL grads/fans, but both girls are married to rabid UK fans.
I was sitting in the refreshment room at the funeral home with both husbands, when one of them (Ch) said to me that he had something to tell me that I would appreciate more than his wife and her sister did.
He proceeded to tell me that Coach Stoops had called both of my nieces to give his condolences on the loss of their father. I laughed and called him a liar. I said no way. He insisted and my other niece’s husband (Jo) said it was true.
So I asked how that could have happened. Ch is involved with liquor distribution for a large company and met Coach at a function. Ch is a huge bourbon guy and so is Stoops. They bonded and became friends. I couldn’t believe it, but the whole point of the story is that our Coach Stoops went out of his way to personally contact my nieces. We are so lucky to have him. I hope he stays forever. 😊

The way I heard it, Wynnn arrived home late, after a very tough day trying to get a stay of execution. His last minute plea for clemency to the governor had failed and he was feeling worn out and depressed.

As soon as he walked through the door at home, his wife started on him about, 'What time of night to be getting home is this? Where have you been? We’re out of edibles and the dinner is cold and I'm not reheating it'. And on and on and on.

Too shattered to play his usual role in this familiar ritual, he poured himself a shot of bourbon and headed off for a long hot soak in the hot tub, pursued by the predictable sarcastic remarks as he dragged himself up the stairs.

While he was in the hot bath, the phone rang. The wife answered and was told that her husband's client, James Wright, had been granted a stay of execution after all. Wright would not be hanged tonight.

Finally realizing what a terrible day he must have had, she decided to go upstairs and give him the good news.

As she opened the bathroom door, she was greeted by the sight of her husband, bent over naked, drying his legs and feet.

'They're not hanging Wright tonight,' she said.

He whirled around and screamed, 'FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WOMAN, DON'T YOU EVER STOP?!'

Then he bought the purse.

Bands with horn sections in rotation:

1). Black Joe Lewis & the HoneyBears
2). Trombone Shorty
3). St Paul & The Broken Bones
4). Nathaniel Rateliff & the Nightsweats
5). Bonobo (EDM, but horns)

laid off the booze last night, may need a pile of Wynn’s gummies. Kate Spade herself may have benefitted IMO (too soon?). Workload is crushing without pros around me. Everyone in my industry are either non-responsive, idiots/fakers or plainly don’t give a ****.

Kid in state track meet Sunday morning, 9.4 rated pizza quest thereafter (Raritan, NJ). Track dad is a specialized skill of being supportive whilst projecting feigned interest as you sit there internally screaming for escape for 3 hours awaiting a 1 minute race.

Riffed on our favorite shrimp recipe last night. Improved it by 100%. Doc Fords Yucatán shrimp is better when pan-searing said shrimp (dusted in spices&cornstarch) in a cast iron skillet with butter/garlic/spices/lime juice. Then sauced.

DeLucia's? Please provide a snackdown.

* Feels like it has been a while since a UK game could determine the mood of my weekend. We should smoke Alabama at Rupp even without Washington, Toppin, and Collins. Bama doesn't have much talent and the talent it does have does not match Oats' style.

Somehow I suspect we will see a slogger that is tight to the end.

* The Olympics end tomorrow. Pretty interesting how completely America ignored these games. At least it looks like we will beat the CCP in the medal count, I guess.

We are putting cloth masks on kids in kindergarten/grade school and telling them that they are protecting grandma. The science has never supported that crap. So, why is that not physical and emotional abuse?

Just responding to your post about masks.

When you broadcast figure skating and "ice dancing" (as if there is a difference) seemingly every damn night, don't expect high ratings.

I definitely don’t feel like supporting anything occurring in China. I know in the grand scheme of things my sentiments mean jack ****, but I actually felt a little queasy turning on the games. Like I was doing something morally questionable.

No idea why China keeps getting gifts like the Olympic Games from the rest of the world. Those schmucks are *literally* the sworn enemy of free societies, individual liberties, democracy, etc. Basically everything that defines the Western world. They are the enemies. I don’t know why more people don’t get this.
