-2022 Topps Baseball cards release today. The first pack I ever opened was in 1984. From 1980-1990 they alternated blue, green and red as the color of the wax packs.

-Travel to Lex tomorrow to sign with Will. Get to tour the football facility and I’m just as excited about that.

-We need old school scalping to come back with paper tickets. These online prices for tickets seem crazy. Backwards hat dude has to be taking it on the chin these days.

-Really think a handful of you guys should start a Kentucky Roundtable podcast. You would kill it. I’m willing to help as much or little as you want. Somebody could change their life.

Might end up the 3 seed in the SEC and get that lovely 930 tip Friday night game. Ugh

It was an all systems failure last night. Move on. Just don’t drop one of these next two at home. Still have a big one @Ark in couple weeks.

-If TyTy isn’t 100% yet then sit him until he is again.

-Chad nailed it. Which is why I was so pissed off last night. I honestly thought if we went and lost it would be a one or two possession game and you just tip your hat and say “**** happens on the road”. Instead it was a total systems failure and just reminded me of a lot of bad tourney games we’ve seen the last six, seven years. On to the next one…

-Lass got pissed at me for “typing on the Internet and being an *******”, called me something not very kind in Portuguese and then rolled over and ignored me. Six more months!

-Going to the Vandy-Auburn game tonight with a buddy who is a Vandy diehard. Keep the faith Alex and don’t mind if I call Bruce Pearl a ********** please.

-Meetings out the *** today starting in an hour. I spend more of my ******* time in useless meetings than actually doing my job it seems like.

-Shrimp and grits the cafeteria today and god bless those ladies who whip this **** up. Each and every one of them is a saint.

Nothing more to be said. I knew when I saw them as a 1 pt favorite it was going to be a shitshow.

For the first time I feel pissed they aren’t playing Sharpe.

What’s the handlers argument? He might look bad and cost himself? Hey *******, you can’t hide that……you just going to miss the draft workouts too?

Pussboi stuff! At some point the kid has to be a man and say F it coach play me!

UT will lose in the first weekend to Weber State.

Cal needs to focus on keeping guys healthy even if it costs us a seed or two. Took a risk last night and possibly cost us a seed anyway. This team needs all of its parts.

Round 2 of COVID in our house, same for each of my sisters’ houses. Rogan’s guy was wrong. Post-infection immunity is legit, but you can still catch the damn thing, just like vax.

I’m going to be pissed off for a very long time if we lose Coen this off season. Pissed anyway.

So why vax? Sorry for your infection, let’s hope
It’s like the flu.

Can’t have Sharpe trotting out there and stinking it up and hurting his stock.. just can’t allow that! Players First!

Might as well let it go because he’s not playing, I just thought this run with this team, surrounded by veterans and high character guys would have been the perfect situation for it.

And maybe he would make no difference, but I just feel like this team is a man short of being special, especially with injuries becoming a theme.

I’m 39, not fat or a smoker. Why would that make sense? Seriously curious.
I can think of some fat 40+ smokers who can walk their dog without passing out in the street and requiring emergency medical attention from bystanders because they haven’t been taking PED’s for popcorn muscles as an adult to most likely make up for the fact they were an adolescent loser.

If they were in the market for “fainting couches” from CB2 like a Victorian lady, they’d probably look to a vax to cover some bases RE:COVID.

I think you’ve carved quite the edge case for yourself there, bub!

Zona/Vegas Vacation Randoms:

--Spent the first couple of days driving down to Tombstone and back to Vegas. Tombstone is a pretty cool half-day excursion for the history buff/Tombstone movie fan. Bird Cage Theater, Boot Hill Cemetery, O.K. Corral, all were must sees/dos for me. Dirty Chinese brother token souvenirs? I'm your Huckleberry.

-- Saguaro N.P. and Sedona on the way back. Beautiful stunning scenery. Wife got literally attacked by a jumping cholla cactus. Apparently if you get too close to one a piece of it breaks off and flies at you. She got 2 of those f^^kers in her left arm. Took a good half hour to get them and their prickles out of her arm and shirt. Sedona was just a drive-thru for us, so I hated to miss meeting PTI there. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is something to behold there.

-- Gambol. Stayed at Bally's. Place is dated, but the room was refurbed and nice. Not exactly the Strip view as advertised, but everything else in the room was nice. Won more than I lost thanks to a last-night 3-of-a-kind at 3 Card Poker plus the dealer progressive cards having that 4th 7 for quads. Just under $2,300 on that hand. Hit a nice payout on a slot at Cosmo. At the MGM Sport Book hit the Cayts at -9.5 and 2nd Half -7.5 but lost the O/U and 1st Half O/U on that last-second floater. The Cromwell Sport Book had a super nice, intimate set up for the Super Bowl for $190/ticket with 3 drink tickets included. Had the Bengals to cover and the under. Lost on the Bengals money line and all my prop bets. Had Aaron Donald for MVP bet, so bummed it ultimately went to Kupp. Best tables odds and lower limits are definitely downtown, although the Trop had some $10 3 Card Poker action. Played the mechanical Sigma Derby horsy game at the D for a good 2 hours and lost about $60 in quarters.

-- Food. Wicked Spoon was good, not great. The Steak House at Circus Circus was excellent and better than anything I've ever had at Tony's or Ruby's. We shared the porterhouse and the Japanese Wagyu. Hard to fathom based on the otherwise dump that is CC. Found a nice little late evening gem at Sahara called the Noodle Den. Best meal for the money we had by far. Hong Kong BBQ Pork and Szechuan Cucumber appetizers followed by Black Pepper beef fried rice and Kung Pao chicken with pulled noodles. Evel Pie downtown as mentioned before is an excellent slice.

-- Vibe. Mask mandate was literally lifted the day we arrived in Vegas. Weed smell everywhere you go, so my wife now knows what it smells like for sure. People everywhere and just happy to not have to wear a mask indoors. Saw one dude get rolled at El Cortez, saw another dude get kicked out for passing out stoned at MGM Sports book. One drunk chick got escorted out at the D for trying to climb a table and dance with one of their Casino dancers.

-- Shows/Attractions. Criss Angel Mindfreak was really good. Purple Reign Prince Tribute Band at the Trop was cool. Hung out with the guy who plays (fake) Prince on stage afterwards and showed him an old Polaroid of him and my wife from 20 years ago at the Holiday Inn Boardwalk. Met the mother of (real)Prince's first wife Mayte Garcia after the show, too.

-- I f'n hate losing to UT. Hope it's just a fluke loss the way we've been playing as of late. That said, Keion and Kellen can't disappear when the other team matches or exceeds our competitiveness. Those guys getting outworked and becoming tentative cannot happen if we're going to be a legit title team.

-- Scared money don't make money. Fin.

My biggest hangup with the situation is it makes no sense no matter what he decides. If he’s leaving why is he here and going to class for 5 months? If he’s staying why not work him into the lineup? He’s going to go 10+ months without playing competitive basketball otherwise.

Mags has casually mentioned a shoe deal a couple times so I’m holding out hope that a shoe company is planning on making him the face of college basketball next year.

The only thing that makes "sense" is the story we've heard publicly, but even that ignores turning down a top 10 draft spot.

They must really believe in being prepared before you get to the league and that Kentucky is the best place to do it. Enrolling early so you can get the NIL money and a head start on next year "makes sense" if that's the plan, it's just almost unheard of for that to actually be someone's plan with the options Sharpe has.

I will say, he doesn't appear to have made any of the short-sighted choices that a kid like Emoni Bates has made throughout the process, so maybe they really are going to take the right steps and cash their lottery ticket properly.

^and UT gets Aub at home in couple weeks. Auburn’s only tough game left on their schedule.
Oscar frustrated me last night a few times, but specifically on one play when a guard for UT penetrated the paint. It reminded me of what Auburn did to Oscar repeatedly by pulling him away from the rim in help defense and then lobbing it over him for a roll to the rim dunk. Last night, Oscar stayed put and did not commit to the guard, BUT he also was inattentive to the dude coming down the baseline who was probably his primary responsibility. A solid pass and that guy sneaks in for an easy layup. I think I would have preferred him attack the driver over just sitting there not knowing where his man was.

But I had Covid so why double up?
Some research is showing that having Covid is far better than the vax. Makes sense. Antibodies are created for more than the the spike that the vaccine addresses. Not sure why you would need the vax if had covid within the past few months.

What kind of dip-**** thinks getting that close to a bull is a good idea?

Probably the same type that thinks they can go to Afghanistan and freely roam around the mountains without losing their heads.

Coen was really damn good, but I'm okay with him moving on now (after signing day) rather than having him try to recruit for another year with everyone knowing he was bouncing.

He's not irreplaceable. The most important thing is Stoops' philosophical change, and I don't think he's going backwards in that regard. JMO.
