Not getting Duran was a blessing in disguise.

Cal would have 110% insisted on playing him and Oscar together, Keion at the three in a lot of lineups, if he didn't outright start.

Tough enough for him to roll with our guard heavy lineup as it is...he wouldn't have been able to help himself with Duran.

Sharpe is the better fit, despite being loaded with guards. He'll have no choice but to play four guards if/when Sharpe plays.

Sharpe says he has a 49” vertical when asked by CJ in an interview today then CJ drops a teaser about returning this year on Instagram later on.
Not sure I believe either. However would gladly be proven wrong.

Woodson had to pull off the upset without his best player for the majority of the game. He snapped a 9 game losing streak to their in-state rival against what is arguably Painter's best team yet. Archie Miller never beat Purdue. Woodson beat them his very first meeting.
Did Woodson wax your mom and buy you a Playstation or something?

Are we the only blue blood who would NEVER rush the court?

- UNC
- Duke
- Indiana

All have in the last few years.

UCLA probably has, if they had enough fans.
There is no possible scenario in which we would rush the court. And considering what our football program has become, there’s very few scenarios we’d rush the home field.

Alabama and Georgia. That’s it. And we might not do it then.

Shorts:

- Just an absolutely monster game tomorrow. Auburn is legit. Deep AF. Lots of ways to beat you. Consistent. Star power. We’re going into a viper pit. Going to take some Indiana Jones **** to get out alive and shut Pearl and their basketball-dumb fans TF up.

- Need a big game from Oscar. No foul trouble. Finish at Kessler.

- And our guards have to hit their open looks. Auburn will give you some daylight at the three point line.

- This looks to be a Toppin game. Be a pest to young Smith. Do Toppin stuff.

- Take care of the ball. Make them pay when they give you an open look. Knock down FTs. Hit the glass.

- I couldn’t be more excited. Biggest game of the year. LFG

- Good thing is win or lose my attention will quickly turn to Who Dey Saturday. I’m not expecting the W but looking forward to seeing what Burrow has up his sleeve.

Hoping for a UK/Who Dey combo tomorrow. Perfect times for both for us old guys.

After resigning Randall, Knicks regretting it now. New contract does not start until next year, but is a lot for a guy who is not a new school NBA player.

Tuesday Randoms:

- Bachelor party golf trip to some po'dunk town 35-40 minutes outside of Knoxville, Thurs-Sun, all my boys from UK throughout my 20s. Just an all-out drunkfest, wake up at 7am, starting pounding bourbon until you pass out at 3am. I don't even golf and still had a great time. Hilarious. Should be 100% recovered by tomorrow.

- Said it before and I'll say it again to you young'uns in here. Enjoy your buddies because it won't be long until almost all of them are married and half of them live out of town and you all get together maybe once every year or two. Miss those guys.

- Geez, even Anth is getting hangovers now. We must be old. Ever heard of coconut water, bro?

- I'll tell you one thing I don't give even one **** about- Willie changing his name. It amazes me that annoys or affects people in any way.

- Horse-racing is an awesome if not somewhat depressing sport (the track is just a bunch of degenerates all but a handful of times a year).

- Gee, shocking the fight was a disappointment. I haven't seen a good fight my entire adult life- and by adult, I mean high school on. Every damn one of them has been a maddening disappointment from Tyson-McNeely on. Needless to say, I'm glad we couldn't get the fight.

- I'm not sure what some of you guys would do if UK wasn't- you know- the most successful CBB program of all-time. You'd really have it tough then, probably wouldn't be able to get out of bed in the morning.

- I love a good craft cocktail and I love the feel of those types of bars- dark, lots of character, good ambiance- BUT it can get annoying quick trying to get a drink there. Takes these hipster pricks 15 minutes per drink.
Why is my refresh showing this?

In high school, I made a a QBR (Passer Rating, not ESPN’s Total QBR) Calculator / Database App as a computer programming class project and developed a deep understanding and facility with QBR.

So I speak from a position of knowledge when I say, people forget that Steve Young was a bad man. For his era (when I was making the app) he blew everyone else away.

-Circling back, Dawn FM is really f*cking good, and ridiculously creative, but it's jut not his best. Testament to how great he is. I like the end of the better than the beginning. Still, it's probably 3rd or 4th behind Starboy, Madness, and After Hours.

-I'm already anxious thinking about what they do for Pac's verses in California Love during the halftime show. Kendrick? or a Hologram?

-Peer reviewed study showing significant benefit with canaboids preventing covid infection. UL helping with the research as well. Put it in the air, just don't tell Damon!!

-Glad we had a MAJOR off game on Wednesday, we've responded well after the others bad performances, and in fact I think we may have got caught looking ahead. The guards are gonna have to play at a high level for us to pull it out. Just don't let the crowd and energy get us down 15 points before the under 12.

-Penny finding out how hard it is to manage elite freshman. LOL. Memphis is now 8 years without making the NCAAT or winning whatever conference they're in. They're pending an ugly breakup with the face of their program and fading into the abyss. Good, those losers cheering for UNC in 2017 can "get pumped" while becoming more irrelevant. I'll be sitting here with my popcorn enjoying the show.

I recently realized I have this specific thought before almost every game. I guess his role as long, athletic, active, garbage/glue guy is just always important.

He’s our only answer to Smith. Maybe a little Hopkins? I just don’t see Brooks doing much to stop him.

From the newsletter:

The other strength Auburn has is the presence of Jabari Smith, who is quite simply an offensive marvel. He’s a 6’10” freshman power forward who hits 44% from three on 5 attempts per game and 66% at the rim. Smith is also a devastating weapon late in the shot clock. He’s taken 23 shots this season in the last 5 seconds of the shot clock and has a staggering 67% effective FG% on them. Auurn as a team is at 50%, so he’s easily their best option when things get hairy. He’s going to be trouble for UK, as he’ll likely draw their power forwards away from the basket and out of rebounding position.
