If Vandy wins this game …

Vandy and UT will be tied overall at 11-6, and Vandy will have a two-game lead on UT in the SEC. Which one of these teams is supposed to be good?

-No way is Cal so disciplined that he doesn't play Sharpe sooner rather than later. He's a curious enough ******* to throw him in, and he'd be right to do so IMO.

-Winter's not really bothering me this year. Enjoying it tbh.

-Vanetti says UofL should just get a new coach and build an on campus arena to fix UofL basketball. I mean, I like Tony, but tapdancing Christ. Trinity man fwiw.

-I like The Lumineers. Always have. Sue me.

-I'd just prefer to not come to gyero and get full of piss & vinegar by reading some political ******** I personally vehemently disagree with. It's why I don't watch Fox News to relax, and 90% of you don't CNN. Surely this might be one common ground.

-Watching that A&M video, our uniforms have been a mess since 2015. Good grief. Those things were awful.

-I gotta get to Rupp this year. Haven't been since 2016. Big Bertha was still around.

-Continue to love the elliptical. Talk about one piece of fitness equipment I always thought was silly that now just works for me. I guess that's just what getting older does to a fading athlete like myself. It's nice to get cardio in and not feel like I've just been in a car accident all the time.

-I'd forgotten about a navy J Crew turtleneck sweater my Mom had given me years ago. I found it in my closet and threw it on last week, perhaps for the first time ever, and it greatly pleased my lass. Trust I'm going to wear it out in public here very soon. Sharp. Think rudd approves.
Agree with all of this but still blows my mind how soft this kid is. “The Elliptical just works for me.”
Okay gramps. Jesus Christ. I want to workout but not feel like it…

I’ve been loitering on the UNC board a bunch this year. Few things I enjoy more than seeing those dickheads in the midst of an existential crisis.

It’s pure arrogance to think you can just pluck the next great leader of the empire off the bench as opposed to a national search. And it’s a lesson UNC should have learned in ‘98 and again in ‘00. Coaching hires are always a roll of the dice (well not always- Roy, Cal, etc) but anyone who watched Hubert on College Basketball Gameday knew he was a charisma-lacking dipshit.

Anyway- thanks for giving @Century Cat more quiz fodder and hope you’re still enjoying that 30 in your neck from December.

Hardin County Peter Pan who ran off to Key West to spend his life as a grunt and lift weights wants to call me a soft kid? Bro, I'm the sole breadwinner for my family, a wife of 12 years and two kids. I grind every day starting at 6:30 am. It doesn't stop until 9:00 pm when both are sleeping soundly in their bedrooms that, again, I'm responsible for providing.

I manage to carve out 45 minutes 3-4x a week to get some exercise in, to keep my heart in decent shape, blood pressure in check, and mental health in balance because they're going to need me around so they can have happy lives. You circle chest day because your sad little ***** *** ego still requires such stupidity. I was done with that at 25.

Our definitions of toughness are obviously very different, but I can assure you that free weights in some ****** Florida Keys LA Fitness isn't a part of the calculus. Douchebag.

BJ Boston passes the "look" test on a lot of levels, but he is so incredibly weak. Kyle Wiltjer was tougher than that guy.

By the way, here's what he's doing as a rookie:

6.6 points
2.4 rebounds
0.9 assists
35.1% fg
26.2% 3pt

That ^^ is *not* good, imho.

If you're talking about the looks like Aids test, sure. The kid is malnourished.
Dog dads just don’t understand the grind. I get it but having kids is relentless- like trying to guard Sahvir Wheeler for 40 minutes.

You take what you can get timewise - for exercise, a TV show, sports, a drink, etc.

Here’s an idea - crate em. My fur child loves her crate. It’s a cozy, secure space just for her. She gets some much needed me time, and Dad gets the same. Not that complicated.

-Chad "gets it" now, glad.

-with one in college and one that will be driving by this time next year...we are out of the hectic "kid" phase and on to the "make good decisions" phase. They have 5 and 10 years left respectively on the "payroll"...hopefully after that i can just help with the big/fun stuff. Regardless...gonna work til I'm room temp.

^dad still works* 6-8 hrs a day at 80. I'm convinced staying active mentally prolongs life.

*goes to his office and signs checks/looks at property between naps, but active nonetheless.

-fresh set of Michelins on the truck today. 1100. Adulting is ********.

- I'm thankful for every day I get to continue lifting heavy weight because I know my time competing/lifting at this level is, in all likelihood, very, very short. It's a gift while I get to do it, and someday I'll end up back on an elliptical, Peloton, etc., too. And I'm glad that's an option, because I know future pretzel working full time with a probable kid won't be able to do what I can right now, but movement is super important for my mental health, even more than my physical health. Talking down to anyone for how they choose to stay healthy is both rude and short-sighted.

Speaking of lifting stupid ****, I picked up 500 lbs for the first time last night. Will not be the last. One of my primary goals before I hang it up is to squat that in competition. I got the all clear from an ortho to jump back in after spraining the bejesus out of my wrist, so LFG.

- @rudd1, my future FIL is turning 70 and on his second career. He took a hefty pension from his job of 45 years and now driving a school bus and ushers Reds games and loves it. Before I met him his oldest brother retired early, got Alzheimers and was dead in a year, so he refuses to retire for real. I'm glad, honestly. Good for him.

- Speaking of Julius:

- Speaking of kids, I have a coworker's baby shower this Saturday, beginning at 4:15. Are you effing kidding me. This is NKY. Bengals kick at 4:30. FTGE.

- I think SAE mentioned enjoying Dawn FM last week. I've had it on repeat for a solid week and a half--by far The Weeknd's most complete album and his strongest effort as a whole. The Gasoline - How Do I Make You Love Me - Take My Breath - Sacrifice run in the front half is NASTY.

As a father of 3 who feels like he’s drowning every day with literally not a minute where I can f*cking sit down not only did I enjoy SAEs post but I have to argue significantly with the elliptical talk. When I was 23 and in incredible shape living in Arizona I did the elliptical religiously everyday for 45 mins and was in absolutely spectacular shape. It was no joint stress and it significantly boosted my vertical leap as well. So much so that I have a gym quality one in my basement and do it as often as I can, so not really sure why we’re hating on the precor here.

My nerves get a rogue level workout 18+ hours a day, 7 days a week. My patience too. Both are still very frail and weak

-unsolicited at that, booker.

-I think that "exercise people" are so into it that they can't see how other people are not. It's common for all interests...but it reaches a pathological level for many of these types of people.

-case in point: SAE (neither fat nor lazy) is chastised for exercising multiple times a week...as being fat/lazy. Honestly *some* people need to see a therapist and stop projecting their issues on normal people.
