Indiana is back..........to .500 in league play.
I just hope our country is strong enough to absorb all of refugees fleeing the failed state of California.
That train stuff is just another symptom of how badly all this bs has been to the country. It makes me realize The Purge wasn’t a dystopian horror film, it’s what needs to happen to these ne’er-do-wells. It’s a look into the future if you will. If you can’t work a job and deal with daily life well, it’s time to go amigos. Don’t need these burdens of flesh screwing it’s up for everyone else. Back to the John Smith way, don’t work, don’t eat.

My oldest son got in trouble at school for flashing L’s down and yelling “Louisville Losers” at some mom who had the audacity to wear UL gear while picking up her kids from school. This happened the week after the last football game.
He also got in trouble for the same exact thing a couple years ago. I have raised him well, imo.

100% agree. But as a kid growing up in the 80's when the rivalry was as white hot as the Cold War, Tawny Kitaen and GI Joe vs. Cobra, there's a small part of me that misses ish like this...

I could not agree with you more. I wish them the worst. They may be down now but they would try to stick it to us at every occasion. Just in the last few years their fan boy media has made an issue about Kash Daniel twisting Trasks leg, Trashton's brick of money Instagram and the fraternity football fight. Never forget. Don't get weak and feel sorry for them.

Sports fandom shame should be fair game in schools except in very rare cases where adult subject matters are mentioned, i.e. Penn State, Whores, etc.
Exactly. This particular matter escalated to the principal’s office. But she bleeds Blue, so she gets it. She gave my son the “time and place” talk, rather than addressing the content of his speech. I greatly appreciated this approach.

It's complicated.
As an example, I kind of miss the sights and sounds of the lower arena at the Yum! Center. A great migration of the eastern suburbs of Louisville and Oldham County used to occur every game. They'd park their late model, gaudy cars in garages and surface lots all around 2nd & Main, adorned with cool, sensible Cards gear (a light zip up hoody, designer jeans, and something with a leather sole - nothing too authentic, but enough).
A strong buzz and to see others while being seen throwing up Ls up for a couple hours was the mission at hand. Once victory was secured (or last call - whichever came first), it was a mad dash to skirt the masses and reach the I-64 east ramp with minimal resistance. A clean, interstate provided getaway from the city; back to their absurd custom homes and away from the hustle and bustle of, checks notes, Louisville, Kentucky.
Anyway, it was always a pleasure to see those asshats in action. Everything that a Freedom Hall crowd wasn't, and what became a source of a sophisticated UofL hate of sorts, that maybe only comes from living here long enough to cultivate it. Those folks are the ones that I hope are truly miserable, and maybe to the point where they just quit. They deserve it all because they're the ones that all of this mess was designed for in the first place: the overbuilt facilities, the inflated budgets, the utter reliability on unsustainable donations. The "Jurich Era" fan. Yea, F them.
However, as a native "Blue" Louisvillian, there isn't that much joy in dancing on the grave of friends you grew up with who maybe were enamored with the Doctors of Dunk in the 80's, or felt the noble calling of Schnellenberger at old Cardinal Stadium. Those guys deserve better.
And why would I want the Churchill Downs regular, who spends every day in a trusty Cards jacket, who maybe grew up a mile from the 3rd turn and can tell me the 7th man on Crum's '89 team, to have NOTHING to cheer for during these grey Louisville winters? And though that guy was forgotten a long time ago (wether he knows it or not), he's going to be buried in that jacket. I respect that guy and feel for him.
Louisville is still a decent enough community to feel something for your native brethren. Something that gets lost at times with folks out in the state. We're a "County," in a sense, just like you are.
But those aforementioned folks. Those are the ones. Jurich's mercenaries. I toast to their downfall and prolonged misery.

Nah, and I have relatives that fit your blue collar fan description, f*ck em. None were sympathetic for UK fans during our entire ****** football existence, the late 80s, or late 00s in BB. So they can wade in mediocrity for the next century for all I care. Don't over think this. Stick with the condescending fake sympathetic comments when in close contact.

The U of L fans I grew up with in Fairdale during their 80s basketball glory were every bit as obnoxious and little brotherish as the ones I met when I moved to the east end when I grew up. And they were all equally as obnoxious during the 2000s Pitino basketball resurgence/football glory days.

Too many holidays and family gatherings, high school lunchtable back and forths, etc etc where words were exchanged. Heated, merciless, swearing. Just not able to forget the dust-ups with exactly the type of 3rd turn fan you described. I grew up watching my grandmother flick cigs at the oxygen tanks of old men UL fans while playing bingo at the Crums Lane VFW, just to get a brief scare from them.
I choose her way in this ongoing war.

Yep. Just because there's a handful of good friends that are die hards doesn't mean anything for the Elle Raisor, Jdub, Jurich, Pitino, Petrino, Ramsey, Captain Suntan, Big Tyme Yurts era. They tried to cheat and fraudulently exploit their way to scorched earth in this state and they lost. 90% of them would suck a D to get it all back the way it was. Reap what you sow.

Team SAE on this one. I like the idea of them being Little Brother. Have some nice teams every now and then. Be the City College that they are. Maybe they can be a feisty 5 seed in the tournament every few years.

It’s weird around here. The UL fans that I know simply don’t give a **** anymore. I mean, think about what they’ve been through in the last 4 1/2years since Brian Bowen situation dropped and Pitino was fired. It’s as if they can only be beaten on the head so many times before they become numb to it all.
YUM is drawing 10,000 or so fans per game. That place used to be the biggest party in town.
I honestly don’t know any of their fans that like Mack and or Satterfield. And this includes some boosters that despise both of them.
That football program can rot in **** because so many years while Kentucky was getting its teeth kicked in as a charter member of the SEC I had to listen non stop about UL football during their “rise” like it was some burgeoning powerhouse and they all made fun of Kentucky Football.
Honestly, I miss them being relevant in basketball though. It makes living here as a Kentucky fan more fun and interesting when we beat them even when they’re good or a legit Final Four contender.
Good gracious that **** became intense when Cal took the Kentucky job. That week leading up to the Final Four in 2012 was surreal and beating them in Indy in 2014 was so fng euphoric weeks after their fanboy media, fans and Pitino chronies were all dancing on Cal’s grave. I’ll never forget that feeling.
