Actually @WayneDougan I am leaning that way. Been slowly working toward the carnivore food provisions. Why? Because why not?

I’ll wait for pretzel to come in and tell me, correctly though, how stupid it is.

Childers has basically disappeared through the pandemic not sure if I missed it but thought for sure some of the disaster relief stuff would bring him out.
He is sober now, lives on a remote farm (I believe in Rowan or a county around there), and is married to a heady artist/hippie chick who keeps him in line. In short, I fear he has lost the muse which previously inspired his music (i.e., hard mountain living and honky tonking).

I don’t get the sense that he is moving away from music, but I do think that anything he does moving forward will look very different than his prior work. In this sense, Long Violent History was not an outlier or a one-off, but probably a harbinger of things to come.

* Can we please keep the "the government and THE LEFT planned the 1/6 attack on the capitol" to the Political Thread? Or maybe on 8kun, if you're feeling froggy.

If you want, we can post the clip over there of that same grandstanding idiot going on a Fox News talk show to beg forgiveness for calling that day a "terrorist attack" after he was OMG CANCELED by his own people.

* Don't appreciate that take at all, Wynn. Childers is way too good to just mail it in because he's not an alcoholic and drug addict anymore.

A lot of people surely said the same about Jason Isbell, and that guy has been absolute 🔥 since drying out.

The hurt in Childers voice is incredible. He sounds wounded regardless of what he is singing about which lends a ton of credence to his type of music.

I don’t think he is walking away from music, pti. I think he will be back and will be around for a long time. I just have serious doubts his future work will resemble Purgatory or Country Squire, or his earlier stuff.

Well this should be awesome 🔥

Anyone watching that series on PGA players cribs? Guy from PGA Memes does it. He is an awful interviewer but the settings overcome his inadequacies. Jason Day with multiple greens to hit to in his backyard. Bunkers similar to some of the legendary courses.

Anyone seen the new Oliver Stone JFK documentary on showtime? Damn, very good. Had never really paid much attention to his original JFK movie when it came out, but watched this week and that has aged well. Some scary stuff.

Need some good new music (no rap), everything seems to be crap these days.

Bourbon and Toulese expanding to the old Gumbo Ya Ya on Broadway…damn, didn’t know they had gone under. Will miss the Machoux.

Really liking this team Cal has…could be special.

Estill County.

Tyler and Senora May have been together for most of his career now. I'm a few years older than her, but our dads worked together so I grew up around them. Artist/hippie chick is pretty accurate; the whole family is that way. They grew up in the woods without a lot of basic amenities. Interesting family.

His music may evolve, but I can't imagine it'll be based on anything to do with her.

I didn't mention THE LEFT or any other politics. In fact, I think the people who went into the Capitol Building on January 6 are abject criminals if they broke through security and lunatic idiots if they just wandered in there in a crowd (which does seem to have happened).

If you aren't interested in video evidence that a guy who appears to be a covert federal agent actively attempted to incite the Capitol riot the night before, then evaded arrest since that day despite being initially put on the Most Wanted List, and now the FBI will not even comment on him, then put on some short shorts and go mince around for a 100 miles while listening to Bill Burr albums, toots.

To me, the ballistics do not add up at all. Magic bullet that zigzagged through both Kennedy and the Governor, shattering his wrist yet ends up found on a gurney in the hospital undeformed?

The docs doing the autopsy forced to recount statements on entrance and exit wounds.

The Zapruder film, wound on Kennedy's head just don’t jive to me. Three shots with a bolt action rifle through heavy foliage at a moving target…

Seems sketchy.

- We have the worst home court design in the conference and it ain’t really close.

- Never thought I’d think to appreciate a quality, heavy quilt but here we are.

- Rowing machine has been my go-to workout. Winter is awful.

- Working from home has spoiled me in many regards… not the least of which getting used to working in a very quiet environment.

1. There was no magic bullet and this has been proven multiple times. It was a straight line when you account for how the seats were adjusted and locations of the parties.

2. What heavy foliage? He was shooting down from the sixth floor out onto a street?

I met Tyler a couple of times a few years ago when he was working in a local wood shop. Seemed nice, didn't say much.

Town Mountain is a great band themselves.

I believe the bullet that killed JFK was from a panicking SS agent. I can't rule out Oswald being a manipulated CIA project though.

This week has been stupid busy.

I see no reason to hold Sharpe out of playing this season.

Oscar is reaching top 5 all time UK bball player territory for me.

Tony Faucci was the bad guy in Dallas Buyers Club.

Tolly Ho for lunch yesterday. They make a solid burger whether you are drunk or sober.

Guess inflation is back. Maybe we can get a collapsing economy to join in for a good old case of stagflation.

It's officially citrus season. Love a good orange.

Got some high grade. Gonna have a taste and watch Curse of Oak Island.

I cannot be trusted with a bag of Chili Cheese Fritos.

They didn't go completely under. They are in Brannon Crossing. And getting it over grits instead of rice or pasta is a good upgrade.
