- I just started Yellowstone and I was pissed before we even started because I had to download yet another effing streaming service for it. Six episodes in, it feels like Longmire, but from the perspective of the Connollys instead of the sheriff. It's...fine, but I'm not sold, especially with the MEGA HYPE it's had from everyone and their brother. So far the only likeable characters are Casey, his wife and kid, and Rip. Everyone else is kind of a prick.

My favorite part is that Sheriff Hale from Sons of Anarchy is the screenwriter/director. What an ignominious and awful death that character got. F you, Kurt Sutter.

- Speaking of everyone and their brother, everyone I know and their brother has the rona right now. Make it stop.

- Some of y'all need to take a damn lap. That loss was frustrating as hell, no doubt, and I wish Cal's substitutions and end of game draws were better. But when you lose two key dudes to injury, on the road, on the night they honor a legend and the whole place is HYPE, yeah, sometimes you lose. Sucks, but that's not the game that should justify "the sky is falling!!!" nonsense. Good gracious. Chill.

- So far, 2022 has kinda sucked for my family. My aunt found out in July she had stage 4 cancer. Monday, they were told it was time to transition to palliative care, and then yesterday, the doctor said it was time for hospice and she might have a month or two left. I had planned to visit next week but given her sharp decline I don't think it can wait. Going this weekend to say goodbye. Cancer sucks.

- Any word on how long Wheeler is out? Hopefully kid didn't get the Antonio Brown variety of concussion.

- I know AB is a helluva of a player, but I can't think of anyone in professional sports who has gotten as many chances as that nutbar. CTE, bipolar disorder, drugs, I don't know, but mans is Teflon.

- Just a complete shitshow the last 36 minutes. Among the most bizarre games I can recall watching. I hate the SEC.

- Just chalk it up to a weird night and move on, I guess.

- Cal needs a better third string point guard FAST.

- Oscar sucked. I didn’t think either call on him in the first half was bad either. Hope he wisens up with the ******** officiating coming his way the entire conference season.

- Hopkins is unplayable and Collins isn’t far ahead of him.

- Nice seeing some life from Mintz I guess but still a largely poor effort.

- Toppin was great through 30 minutes but thought he was Magic Johnson the last 10.

- I’m done with the stupid MFers in here- you’re all on ignore from here on out. Booker, Chumps -> F off. I love you Clown but I can’t handle your ******** during basketball season. See you in April, you belligerent prick. All you idiots for some reason trying to exalt our football program by belittling basketball with the silliest comparison ever- DIAF and also F off. Done with you, too.

- Yellowstone is an above average soap opera led by an elite actor in a gorgeous and mostly untapped setting. I doubt I’ll muster the enthusiasm to start season 3.

- Survived one cancellation and 5 delays to finish a 12 hour travel day and get to sleep at 4am yesterday. I considered it a dub all things considered. Let’s just hope my daughter survived the irresponsible parenting and avoids COVID from our ******** trip.

-I like Yellowstone, but won’t defend it much to those that don’t. Is what it is, a modern day country/western tv drama. I watch the show for the guys in the barn, and to see what kind of ***** POS Jaime is.

If nothing else it has made me want to go see the great state of Montana for myself.

- Starting the 2nd half on fire from 3 was our demise. Sure we jumped out to a lead but we totally stopped feeding Oscar, or forgot how to entry pass. 4 TOs during one stretch feeding him from up top where their guy stole it or tipped it and someone else got it.

- Still sick AF. Kids were tardy yday because me and the wife are sick, and that prompted a “please don’t send your kids to school if your sick, we don’t want to spread it” from the schools. Which I guess I understand but I’ve been sick a week and not one of them are sick today! But cool.

- 20 months straight without a single construction slow down. Another 10 months of this with no workers and we gonna go from 200% go go go to a straight stop.

Lumber is going back to crazy highs again.

- I got UGA for the chip.

We fell in love with the Grady baseline screen action and once LSU adjusted -- we had no countermeasure.

You don't expect veteran-laden teams to have such scoring droughts, even without Wheeler. Credit LSU or whatever, but we ran a lot of bad **** last night. JMO but I thought our team got caught stargazing Grady too much and stopped running the DDM wrinkles. Once LSU mitigated Grady, we got desperate late in the shot clock and used terrible angles to find Oscar on the block. Add the ridiculous THREE BIGZ!!! lineups from Cal and our atrocious FT shooting -- icing on the cake.

Keion Brooks has used up all remaining equity with me. I'm pretty much done with him -- and I've defended him for 2+ years now. Gives me no joy, but that ship may have sailed. He had that one nice attack in the first half on the attempted dunk. But other than that? Grief. This included that horrifying pull-up late that almost broke the backboard. So so frustrating.

Hopkins was horrid but he was on the floor w/ 2 other bigs. Didn't do him any favors but he needs to let the game come to him. 3 TO's in 45 seconds ain't gonna help your cause, hoss.

It was a ******** game, I'm not going to take too much stock into it (other than Keion). Whatever.

Get healthy, drink some more fluids night before, ease Sharpe in --- and hopefully profit.

I actually use subtitles full time for Netflix/etc shows. It started w/ Peaky Blinders and The Crown, and fast forward a few years later...they're still on. Wasn't intentional, Actually never even thought about it. You don't even notice it after awhile, but it improves the experience -- especially w/ the British shows

Throwback show that aged decent enough to still watch:

"Castle" is on Hulu- I didnt rally watch it in real time years ago but find it to be pretty solid. Also, Detective Becket is dope.

Dirk going up in rafters in Dallas.

Didn't someone mention he had stated he would have gone to Kentucky if he played college ball?

If so, he is right up there with Gunther Behnke in all time what ifs with Kentucky basketball.

We did get Woo though.

I started subtitles about six months ago because my wife would constantly ask “Whatd they say?” Like 50 times no matter what the show and make me rewind on occasion which drove me nuts. She complained about the subtitles and so I turned them off and then five minutes into it she asked “Whatd they say?” and so I put them back on and haven’t turned them off since.

- When Washington went down with cramps, the score was 50-47, with about 11 minutes remaining. We scored 2 points over the next 9 minutes.

Our possessions over that time span:
Oscar FTs (0/2)
Oscar missed turnaround
Toppin iso from the top of the key, missed jumper from 18 ft
Oscar turnover (should have been LSU foul or OOB on LSU)
Oscar FT (0/1)
Oscar dunk
Toppin turnover (bad outlet pass)
Toppin iso airball from 15 ft
ATO with 9 seconds on shot clock, we inbound in the backcourt to Toppin, try to iso Brooks on the baseline with 4 seconds on shot clock, bad pass turnover
Brooks iso missed 16 footer with 2 guys on him

That's poor. Missed free throws are one thing, but in the most crucial part of the game, we got 1 good look in 8 possessions (excluding the ones that ended in FTs). Aside from the one dunk, we did not generate a shot at the rim. We also did not get a single shot from a guard, which was clearly by design/scheme.

- Toppin is a very effective offensive player when used as a face-up 4 who receives the ball from 10-12 feet out, then uses his athleticism to get to the rim and get good looks from close range against slower players. He is not an effective player when used at the 3, when he is asked to start from the 3 point line against a quicker defender. The numbers bear this out: lineups featuring Toppin at the 4 are among our most efficient, and those with Toppin at the 3 are among our worst.

- After Washington got hurt, Toppin was used exclusively at the 3. Even when Washington came back briefly, he took Mintz's spot.

- Ware played 12 minutes. Brooks was a -12 in 14 minutes (most of this came paired Toppin at the 3, which has been a brutal combo for us all season). Collins played 8, Allen played 3.

Rack re: The Crown. It improved the show considerably for me once I turned them on. Have kept them on ever since.

You can always count on a good chuckle on Cobra Kai when you read ":dramatic music intensifies:" after Tory walks in the room.

Oh, there’s a price to deal with Kolb But it’s currently less than what KCD charges that’s for damn sure.
I was wondering how you came up with that number. Lol.

We're test-to-stay, which is also ridiculous, but at least better than what it was before.

Has Ol' SAE got the vax card tat or did he opt for the microchip in his hand? I don't I know anyone as proud of his EUA civic duty than that guy. He's going to Big Blue Madness tent style it CVS when Fauci gives the green light on #4.

My only comment on kids and vaxes, if you have boys -> avoid Moderna.

Lolz. I've been living my life, bub. Weddings. Bars. Gym. House parties. Not too worried about much other than my son who remains too young to be vaccinated (I'll keep you posted). Happy to be PRO VACCINE. The rest is theater ********. JMO.

-Ted Lasso and Yellowstone are terrible. Didn't make it through the first season on either.

Never been more nervous for a players return than I am for Klay Thompson.

Those knees give one more time and he has to quit.
