Some things that don't make sense when looking at the box score....

TyTy played 33 minutes, although it seems like he was out way longer than that
Grady actually shot very poorly tonight (4-13)
Lance Ware only played 12 minutes, but it seems like he was in way too much (actually, he was)

What a stupid game and a stupid road matchup. F'ing Will Wade. That guy is the worldwide leader in giving no Fs. I mean he coaches in a long sleeve t-shirt.

I’m more aggravated at the prospect of a Wheeler concussion. Another GD injury to a key player. And concussions are the prototypical, lingering “I don’t know I haven’t talked to him” type of injury.

TyTy played like 5 minutes with a bum leg and was nothing more than decoy so that’s probably why it seemed like he played less.

I’ll be honest - I’m still not sure what happened there. It was like his head whipped back even though it didn’t seem to collide with the LSU guy. Did he bang his head on the floor?

He didn’t hit the floor either. It almost looked like he jerked his head back in an attempt to draw the foul. Has anyone ever concussed themselves?

Injuries to Washington and Wheeler were bad luck, certainly.

However, to be so inept after Washington went out goes beyond missing those two guys. Mid majors will score more points than we did during that span. Sticking to a 3 big lineup that is not producing was ridiculous. Subbing Wear in at the 4 down the stretch was a stroke of genius by comparison.

Let’s hope Sharpe will kill the 3 big lineup for good.

I'm as thrilled with a team as you can be after a loss. We walked into a snakepit on effing Dale Brown Appreciation Night and fought our asses off. Basically everything that could go wrong did -- and we kept fighting. I'm sure there isn't a gameplan for what happens when you lose both your point guards, Grady can't hit the ocean (other than that one spell), and you only have two guards total who are healthy.

Most importantly, this team now has that old school Calipari fight. The fight that Dan Wetzel talked about when Calipari got here -- "he carries a knife, he will cut you".

I'm falling in love this team.

* Has Dale Brown's wife had so much plastic surgery that she can't smile? Good lord. She looks like she's been ready for Dale's funeral for twenty years.

* Love LSU. Despise Will Wade. They are 13-1 for a reason.

* My first book of the new year is Werewolf Cop by Andrew Klavan. It is so good that I have to make myself put it down.

* This is how I felt about Toppin at the end of the first half.

There was one sequence where they completely bodied TyTy down the entire court, and THEN fouled him on the shot with no call. LSU took the rebound and went straight back down to get a BS shooting foul on the other end.

Yes we *should* be able to overcome **** like that, but that's just one of about five or six stupid moments that erases our razor thin margin for error.

And hell we still should have won.

-I'm still frustrated by Cal's substitutions, and a couple of those BIG lineups were complete trash, but throw last night out. Anomaly. If we play large portions of a road game without 3 of our 4 best players, we're going to most likely lose. On to the next one and paste those bitches in Tampa.

-Glad we saw a little out of Mintz. Love that guy and he's been awful all season.

-Programs/Franchises at all levels add people mid-season. Especially pro teams I have no idea why that's such an issue for CBB. If he can help, he should play.

-6a workout after Tuesday night games, suck. Was 11:30 before I finally fell asleep.

-Ope, what a great Midwestern word. "Ope, sorry, gonna squeeze right by ya." So polite.

-Plant based chorizo? What the **** are we even doing? What has happened the last few years. Not everything needs to be hippie-fied.

-Kid maskers are just the worst. Well not worse than school closure people(great job Chicago/NJ), but right after that, and I'm assuming they overlap. Time we just leave the kiddos alone and get things back to normal for them.

-Almost finished with the new season of Cobra Kai, they just keep delivering with that series. The Johnny training beach montage is just f*cking fantastic.

-Let's get enough snow I can take the little guy sledding.

-Dave Leonhardt at NYT has become the best mainstream read on Rona.

-Winter certainly has the best sunrise/sunsets, they've been awesome lately.

One thing is for certain is that on the final play he didn't try to call timeout; he was waving Mintz to go on and for a guy that likes to micromanage every possession is very odd that he does this in end game situations more often that not.

Cobra Kai is dope. It knows what it is. Cheesy yet hilariously self aware, with a ton of fan service. Surprisingly good character arcs as well. Johnny is the GOAT.

My wife rolls her eyes with all the over-the-top violence but it's better than the ******** Yellowstone she worships. S4 was ridiculous.

Would Kevin Costner's character really GAF about some whiny granola *** EPA/PETA type activist? No.

Christ they made me feel bad for Kreese in the end and that is no small feat. The show is at its best when Daniel and Johnny are on screen together especially when they agree to train in each others karate.

The season of Yellowstone was an embarrassment to TV. They basically took one of the better characters (Casey) almost completely out of the show, and gave his sister way more storyline than necessary. If she didnt survive last season's finale- that would have been the best possible outcome. And dont get me started on this random finding a lost creepy weird boy and just taking him home. WTF was that? And no way in hell that hot vet gal would have anything to do with Jimmy. Why is that not bothersome to everyone else?

Johnny spin-kicking the waves in that Beach scene was lulz. And the scene at the end setting up next season was a nice way to end it and give something to look forward to. Still need some devoted Elizabeth Shue storylines. Thats maybe one of the very few things on netflix now that are worth a ****.

I think 75% of people I know have covid right now. Ranging from being on oxygen to not having a single symptom. Im just hoping we can duck it a couple more weeks before the baby arrives, and maybe it will burn out for the time being. What an effing mess.

Travel companies have quit extending redemptions for covid vouchers so a euro trip we had planned in March of 2020, we have to take by the end of the year or just forfeit the thousands of dollars already spent. So I guess in the fall we'll be going back over, with child in tow.

Great to live in a city thats a melting pot of other SEC alums. Makes the bi-weekly loss even that much better. I dont think we are better than UT, Auburn, and Alabama- mixed in with the likely KU loss with a couple of random other letdowns and its shaping up for a great selection sunday.

I just finished “Stay Close” on Netflix and it was a really good British suspense thriller.

It steered clear of making the nature of the crimes too unsettling. It was mostly just straight up adult murders - which I can happily watch while crushing some Tostitos and queso.

Some/most of y’all are ridiculous idiot dbags.

We were totally Fd with injuries/fouls, and missed all our free throws.

Still incredibly had a chance to win. I’m livid, but not at Cal or our team THIS time.

Good lord.
Rack this **** a thousand times. Too many people in this thread show just how little they know about the game and only have the same tired responses to losses.

LSU isn't a great offensive team but they are good defensively. You lose your starting point guard for basically the entire game. Oscar sits the last 11 minutes of the first half. Grady can't make a shot until the second half and TyTy is cramping and basically useless the last 10 minutes of the game and we had a shot to win. Name any other team that would be able to deal with all of that on the road and just steamroll the other team.

By the way he put Allen in for 3 minutes in the first half and he never looked to take a shot...but if he had we all know he would have bricked it because he shoots 18.8% from three on the year...but it's Cal's fault so whatever.

JCPS laying the groundwork for some NTI. If that goes down the Dougan family are high-tailing it to Vail. Fingers crossed!
I think the legislature capped that at 10 days max. The rest would be treated like a snow day, i.e. make it up at the end of the year. There would have to be a considerable amount of teachers sick for that to happen.
