As long as he’s got that R next to his name, he will keep his seat. Period.

Didn't even know he owns a bourbon company.

So he's:

1. Against medical marijuana because it's a "slippery slope" but owns and produces alcohol.
2. Against casinos and sports gambling because of the damage it could do to families but built his entire career in the horse industry and lead the way for "historical horse racing"

The absolute peak of hypocrisy.

I am also a conservative republican (no ****) and cannot stand Damon Thayer. He is not going to be beat by a D but really wish some other R in his district would go against him. I'm pro pot and gambling so I'm pretty much a heathen I guess.

I *ALMOST* respect him for trying to keep a straight face while spouting that self-serving horseshit. Almost.

How did you not know that? The stupid SOB is pissed because all distilleries aren’t operating the same on private barrel selections(hint no one wants any private barrels of his stuff). Buffalo Trace and most established distilleries still follow 3tier system but legally we don’t have to.

So you can get a pick at New Riff, and instead of going to the store for it, just show up in a truck and they’ll load up on a pallet!

Of course it’s a law he fought for, and expected to operate different(stupid politicians) and people in business that do not sell as easily on retail are all over it.

I don’t know what the answer is. I do believe however there have to be a ton of modern Republicans and or conservatives like myself out there who are fiscally conservative but socially much more moderate. Maybe one day we’ll have a say.
The trick is finding those people who want to run for office against an incumbent. Most of the people you’d want to see run are sane enough to have no interest in doing so.

Not in this state, bub (in terms of one day having a say).

Also, it’s amazing how many politicians there are who seem to be hated by everyone but get re-elected easily every time.

Utah has no gambling, no weed, and very strict rules on alcohol. They are:
  1. Top five in most fiscally stable state
  2. Top 2 for economic growth
  3. Number 1 in growth of young population
But sure, our state would be aces if we could just get rid of Thayer.

Surprised Thayer and his cronies have not figured out a way where they will be one of the few who will be able to benefit/profit from legalization of the bud and gambling...As stated before, all in favor of legalization but only a few will benefit, which will be wrong.

I would love to see the opposition research on anyone who has posted on GYERO for any length of time.

"Well, it appears that so-and-so has publicly called someone a 'f**' 674 times, told someone to die in a fire (why I don't know) 916 times, and really hates some guy named Mark Hollingsworth (which seems justified). We are just going to print those quotes, put them in an ad over scary music and stock footage of weeping minorities and your victory is assured, Candidate."

* Nice little KSR blurb on TyTy.

link: https://www.on3.com/teams/kentucky-...a-lot-of-hats-for-kentucky-says-chin-coleman/

As a freshman, he's averaging:

- 14 points/game
- 4 rebounds/game
- 4 assists/game
- 50% fg
- 41% 3-pt
- 81% ft

...and somehow is about the 4th-best player on the team. Talk about flying under the radar.

* Some pretty hot takes coming from a certain segment regarding COVID in 2022.....

- it's going to be around for a very long time, so we need to learn to live with it
- vaccines are important, but they are only one small part of the picture
- losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help improve one's chances
- lockdowns and closing businesses won't defeat the virus

Sick and tired of seeing all this MISINFORMATION spread around.

* Speaking of Chase.....has he died in a fire?

(/fingers crossed)

* Celebrities and politicians and dropping like flies from Omicron. You can pretty much cut-and-paste the script into their Twitter/public statement/open letter.....

"Today I learned that I have tested positive for COVID-19, despite being double vaccinated and boosted. I am forever thankful to the amazing doctors and health experts who made this possible, as I am only experience very mild symptoms. I am maintaining social distancing, continuing to mask, and following CDC-recommended protocols to remain isolated and quarantined until I can test positive and return to work asymptomatically."

GTFO with all this virtue bs, toots.

* Mormons are superhumans, man. Don't drink, smoke, ingest caffeine, or fornicate outside of marriage. Every single one of them is nice, clean cut, educated, and successful. You couldn't pay me all the money in the world to live in Utah, but them's good people.

* Will Wade still has a job, lol.

* The worst radio show ever was when Joe B and Denny Crum had that short run together. Two 80 year-olds sitting around talking about fishing and church, or whatever. Just awful.

* Some of you Kentucky residents need to take a good, hard look around the state and realize that an urban-dwelling, upper middle class, college educated yuppie is very much the minority. Damon Thayer, awful as he is, probably represents the average Kentuckian much better than any of you realize.

If you don't believe me, go sit down at the DMV some time and make mental notes on everyone who walks in the door. Most of them DON'T look like you.

* Top 5 people who need to eat a dick today:

1> UKO
2> Wayne
3> anyone who posts on the political thread
4> Chase
5> wcc

🤣🤣

That was on the air when I was in school. I had an odd fascination with it. Just a bizarre concept.

Former VP of the Breeder's Cup (from Michigan) is just an everyman Kentuckian. Can't tell a bit of difference from him and Earl from Floyd County.

Do you not follow politics at all? We had a dipshit reality TV star and barely intelligible demented old man as our last 2 potus. The more ridiculous the better these days.

Of course we'll be last for MM and gambol in KY. Got a ton of hypocrits making the decisions.

You know what else the Mormons did? Hunted down and executed people that tried to leave the tribe. The Air Force, when I was in, was lousy with them. You couldn't swing a dead ex-Mormon w/o hitting one of them. Most of the ones I knew liked LARPing. They dressed up in homemade "armor" and would sword fight around the apartment complex. That, and f***ing through a bedsheet with a hole in it.

I think Kentucky residents need more vices at their fingertips. Maybe start fentanyl dispensaries. Think of the tax revenue!

what about “drunk clowns on call”?

or cannabis infused breakfast foods like waffles and OJ

how about a private ski slope / lodge ...:that has HOOKERS and an automatic rifle gun range

And finally - a primordial sequestered place that pits middle school kids against small packs of rabid monkeys...:”capture the flag / avoid the ebola”

some / none OR all of these are - many recent career move ideas .....

Don’t sleep on the possibilities of a “Hole in the Sheet” lifestyle, IMO.
