wcc -"- Those Zac Taylor calls - some of the few times I’ve ever been completely flabbergasted in my life. Glad it worked out but I was losing my mind"

Yeah, that was different. I mean, I get what he was trying to do, but he defnintely over-thought it.

He's learning too though.

Also, if Joe Burrow finishes strong against the Browns, I think he deserves the MVP.

He’s just ignorant on the situation. Anybody who actually knows me on here will tell ya it’s legit.

He sold his cash cow if I remember correctly. I kept mine.

The original comment is wrong. I didn’t say it wasn’t legitimate. I said it was contingent (I assume) on selling things, etc. As I read your tweet (and I believe on here) you were saying he could make a million (which is still awesome), not that he is guaranteed. I was just saying I know of two deals that will guarantee him $1 million if he returns. That was my only point

If I am wrong, I will gladly correct it. Either way it’s still an awesome offer and I hope it helps get him to stay. And I totally appreciate the hustle of you trying to get pub for the offer…I assume that was you who texted the text machine offering to come on the show and talk about it. If he comes back and takes it, I certainly will

Speaking of injuries, that one Iowa player literally limped/hopped toward the sideline then, quite amazingly, fell down in bounds within inches of the sideline. No, let's not drag his *** over at all, but instead stop the game entirely and take a media timeout.

Football awards are kinda lame anyway; the guys in the trenches get screwed.

I see your point, but when the best interior lineman goes down, a betting line may move a point. Whereas when a great starting QB goes down, it moves upwards of 7 points. And for RBs or WRs it may move a point and a half or two at most.

Where I think the linemen get screwed is the HoF. They should go in at the same rate as a QB, imo.

Injuries should either require a timeout or that the player sits out for the quarter or at least the rest of the series.

That’s correct. This would be contingent on two things.

(1) Him actually suiting up and playing for UK for the majority of the season

(2) Working with us doing autograph signings, etc.

Surely, all seven figure NIL deals have some stipulations?

Wouldn’t want to drop a million for BBN and he decides to take it easy all year. This is a legitimate offer. Just not one with blind trust. Of course, it would all have to be cleared by UK.

Yeah. If we're going to do a literal most VALUABLE player, it's almost certainly the QB or RB. That said, I'm a sports nerd and couldn't be bothered to create a top 5 OL or DL list. I'm clueless. Sucks for those guys; they take a thankless beating.

Shout out to Austin Dotson. The most KY mfer I’ve ever seen had himself a day. He mauled some fools, made a couple bone headed plays, rolled at least one guy after the whistle, and was pivotal in the game winning run….after setting us back 5 yards. I just love how that dude looks, and he plays just like he looks. Here’s to you mountain man. Great career.
Bringing this post back to the top because it was so good.

No game better exemplified Dotson's UK career better than this one.

He damn near single handily cost Kentucky the game two or three times. He also made key blocks on key plays that I am not sure any other player on the team was capable of making including that TD run by C-Rod to win it where he pulled and made a key block five yards down field ahead of the RB (as pointed out, right after a numbskull penalty). Most of Kentucky's biggest run plays Dotson had a major hand in, he also was basically solely responsible for about three or four sacks or TFL's because he got his butt whipped. He was on the verge of a 15 yard penalty several times, but you can't even be mad because most of those was because he was blocking guy ten yards down the field Blindside style setting a tone.

He was a 2* recruit who played more snaps than several of our 4* prospects, but in the end he probably was a truly 2* talent who graded out like a 2* talent but never backed down against some of the best D-linemen in the country over his career. He played different positions, gave key snaps when injuries occurred over his career, and straight up mauled some folks along the way.

When he did start, there were times it looked like he may be the reason UK would lose, but my guess is UK's winning percentage with him as a Starter was better than when he didn't start in some perverse twist.

I don't think UK can ever compete with the elites of the SEC with guys like Austin Dotson starting or playing the lion's share of minutes, but by God did we end up needing him to get across the finish line the past two seasons!

Some rando shitdos:

- Entire company sent home to WFH if they like. Half our company has covid or someone in their family does. Fun times.

- Was going to go up to Atlanta and stay with the BIL. He ends up having a meltdown pre-trip about FIL not inviting him to play golf but invited me and I'm staying at BIL house. Just nope'd the whole trip, bought an oz and played Fifa for 4 days straight staying away from any drama.

- Spent NYE with the Tampa family. Very low key and had a great time watching football and partying with them. Had a nice outside setup for the games and their neighborhood is really tight and everyone seems to know/like each other. Wife's side of the family, for the most part, are awesome in-laws so maybe they just bring that out in their neighbors.

- The house for the games was at one of their surgeon friends. About halfway through, when the UM fans were starting to accept their fate, he shoots his wife a text of some dude's guts hanging out. We're watching football and he's trying to save some dude's life that used his lap as a mortar base. Oh, and no thanks on more texts like that. Absolutely ruined food for a few days seeing that. Still can't shake that image.

- Some of the best times for UK sports right now. Just soaking it all in. Loving the new bball team and Stoops has made most of my buddies STFU about being a basketball school.

- Have had two sales guys quit recently. One sucked and was happy he left but the other one hurts because he has a ton of knowledge and works his *** off. It's miserable trying to hire right now.

- Going back to mostly lurking and covid mania. Happy New Year to everyone and remember the Cats beat the dogshit out of the Heels and UKO is forever a dork.

Does the coming back contingency break NIL rules? I know you’re not allowed to offer money for picking a certain school.

There’s no evidence outside of cartoons that monkeys make suitable house pets. They are terrifying creatures.

Trade that stupid redneck the monkey for his dog. He’ll probably think it’s awesome. When he finds out monkeys suck, he’ll attempt to beat that monkey, and the monkey will kill his stupid ***.

you have to stop giving this scenario credence, big blue

My soon to be 3 year old boy is basically like living with a raccoon I've figured. Climbs everything. Grabs food from the pantry at will. Gets into every drawer, shelf, nook and cranny and just leaves messes in his wake. Freely slaps his sister and the dog at will. Smiles and giggles the entire time. Granted, a pretty charming raccoon, but one nonetheless.

That behavior doesn't seem to change by the age of 6.5. In fact it may be accelerating.

My soon to be 5 daughter is very gentle and well behaved while my soon to be 3 son is a completely reckless *******. I’m assuming my 4 month old son will be one soon enough. A chip off the ole block I’d say.

This description is a little too accurate for my 1.5 year old daughter. Kinda concerning.

I mean, he's a great kid. Pretty cautious, terrified of getting in trouble, loves hanging out with me. Just a sweet kid. BUT he is incredibly destructive. I handed him my phone to video chat with his grandparents for literally 30 seconds, he brings it back to me with the screen shattered like it had been hit with a hammer then back over with a 18 wheeler. Did they same f*cking thing with WS's IPad. Has torn the controllers off the Switch twice. Literally wires hanging out. His shoes look like a homeless person's after a week. F*cking banshee.

I’ve seen this lady who pimps her monkey constantly for free stuff on Facebook. It’s insane how much that little monkey can eat. She gets free stuff all time. Talks to it like a baby. Creepy if you ask me.

She should take it to Subway, they got some sort of deal involving a monkey IIRC

I always wanted one of those little organ grinder monkeys so I could dress it up like a little Cowboy and have it ride around on Henry's back. Tipping it's cap, twirling a tiny lasoo, quick drawing etc.

I could get high and watch that all damn day.
Check out the cowboy monkeys that ride dogs at halftime of football games. Life affirming stuff right there.
