It is a real issue, just as it is when a biological female who transitions to male continues competing against girls while rocking chest hair and a beard and big upper body muscles and a daily testosterone regimen.

But there are pretty simple solutions that will clear up all but a very very small number of cases, if not all (look at Louisiana for proof).

I save my outrage for topics that are much more real. Sorry, brah.

A quick Google search show me that Kentucky has a similar rule already in place by KHSAA.

How many males are currently competing against girls in Kentucky high school sports?

(my guess is the number is close to zero)

Make high school kids compete in their biological gender because they’re children and haven’t even finished developing their biological hormones and then just make everything after that gender neutral.

If I’ve learned anything from the trans community it’s that that’s the best way to reach equality.

It’s really NOT heading in that direction, BBdK. Not where you live anyways. Get your head and your fear out of Twitter and use some common sense. Both Louisiana and Kentucky have extremely strict rules already in place that have made it so that somewhere in the neighborhood of ZERO trans athletes have ever in the entire history of the state competed in high school girls sports. Both have legislators that have further passed laws to mandate high school athletes participate in the same gender as they were born. There are absolutely super liberal states/cities that are completely in the opposite end of the spectrum, and that is extremely unfair and ridiculous.

But if you’re sitting in Fairdale Kentucky right now worrying about the Trans High School Athlete Boogeyman/woman coming to ruin sports as we know it, you are a complete and total idiot.

It’s actually very common sense. In the state where you live, there are extremely strict rules that basically make it impossible for trans high school athletes to compete outside the gender they were born with.

And you’re mad……why?

The rules are working. They’re in place. The integrity of high school girls sports is in tact from that standpoint. Any further political maneuvering is just grandstanding, fear mongering ********.

Because I’m an American who is proud of my country and its values that have allowed it to evolve and prosper and I see this need of a preemptive law that attempts to merely reinforce common sense to allow fair play for schoolgirls in sports as canary in the coal mine for a looming, compounding detriment to our society as a whole.

Yeah I mean so far in Kentucky there’s been like zero, so the good news is we’ve got a ways to go before all of society is destroyed.

I mean I'm sure it would suck for my daughter to get smoked in her sport by a dude one day, but I have to think we'd eventually laugh about it if it ever actually happened to us. Years later we'd probably play the video of it at the Holidays for a laugh even. Life would go on. She'd go to college (or welding school). Get married. Have a career. Maybe even give us grandkids someday. Then some time later I might fall down the basement stairs carrying laundry and the family would be sad about that for a little bit too, but one day they wouldn't be. Maybe they'd play the video of that years later for a laugh.

Enjoy the ride. That's the point.

How can we knowing that there's a Nate Oats coached team out there firing up 36 threes in one game while we only put up 15? I honestly don't know how any of you can enjoy the holidays knowing that fact. Wins and losses do not matter. It's all about 3 pt fga. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!

I’m fairly confident the Christian people of Kentucky would make sure it never happens. If they made it out without being beaten by a disgruntled redneck dad.

Told the nurses while getting my booster on 8/16 I’d see them in 6 months. Whatever Israel does we copy so far.

Hopefully they find a way to make the pill faster. Can’t wait to hear the theories on people getting drinks spiked by men in black suits.
