Cals offense doesn’t work without a dynamic top flight PG. You can say that about any basketball team but more so his than most.

You can add all the pieces/shooters you want but without a DRose/JWall/BKnight type of guy that can beat his man and penetrate at will, it will continue to look disjointed.

Alive and well in BG. We hunkered down in a basement until the storm passed, lost electricity and all contact, and were lucky enough that we didn't even know there was an actual tornado until about 12 hours later. Missed us by a couple miles. The destruction is absolutely bonkers to see in person. Unreal.

Saw some in here mention wanting to help. I saw this morning that volunteers are still needed in several locations around town. If you get turned away, keep looking, there's PLENTY to do. Same goes for donations. Some centers are full and not accepting donations any more, but keep looking. As you can imagine, this is not a perfectly organized, logistical gem. Guessing it's a similar story in Mayfield, Dawson Springs, etc.

Basketball Cats can suck my ***.

I don't know if it's Mitch or whoever his closest advisors, but his acumen for contracts is...stunningly poor. MOU 😐😐😐

-Because top level coaches have all the leverage. They just do. Imagine Cal getting plucked by UCLA and winning a title in year 2 or 3. Lol, Barnhart would have to leave the Country.

-IMO, best case is a dumb NBA team making a major move for Cal. Although I don't know if any are that desperate at this point.

-I know this is a bridge year, and by bridge standards we're talking about that rust bucket that caught on fire in Cincinnati, but I'm just exhausted with waiting for him to figure it out when we've seen him fall right back into what he's comfortable with.

-Love Oscar, he's amazing, but he went right back to running the offense through him rather than getting Washington or Grady going.

-IMO we need to see more Mintz. He's the only aggressive offensive player we have right now.

-Interested to see Cal's adjustment to teams sagging on Wheeler.

-Mentally gearing up for the craziness of the next 2 weeks. Going to be a hoot, and I'm really in the prime of Dad-Hood, the next 3-4 years. Let's get this **** going. Weather needs to comply.

-Got G running layup lines until his legs fall off.

-Other one has taking to gagging himself and is fully mobile. At least he sleeps like RvW. But it's 100 right now around the house.

-Tied one on pretty good Sat night.

-Cal really needs to win the next 2.

-Turning FB recruiting off. Those dudes earn their keep with all that craziness. Good gracious. Trust Stoops is going to put a squad out there every year.

-3 rib prime roast ordered for Christmas. Still working sides.

-Uncle hit me up for instructions on how to make my meatballs. Nice little W for me.

I won’t bash him on the joker hire. Seems like everyone was happy with that one even if he didn’t open it up to a full search.

The Billy G hire seems like it could have been avoided with a simple background search.

He won his title with Teague at PG. He was fairly pedestrian IMO.

How long before we're irrelevant like IU? Laugh all you want, but it's a lot closer than most are willing to admit based on the current trajectory. The climb always takes longer than the fall.

Cal's theatrics were tolerable when we were dropping our nuts on other teams. Remember when we led 41-7 against UCLA at the half, or stomped Kansas 72-40? Crushed Arizona St. 115-69 after being on "Upset Alert?" Beat Louisville into submission, 90-61?

Those days are long gone. And Swaggy Cal is dead. He ain't turning this ship around. The "new normal" is losing to Kansas St., Gerorgia Tech, Seton Hall, Utah, Evansville ( 😆 ) and f*cking Notre Dame. Forget about competing with the Blue Bloods...

GOOOOOOO! (bleed another program dry, **********)

Just make Cal take a mental health "leave of absence" and let OA coach the fvcking team.

You can't fire him, but you can re-assign his duties.

Exactly. You let Bruiser, Orlando, and CHIN “coach” the team, and we’d be out there running and gunning like an AAU ball team.

Cal is so poor at in game coaching/micromanaging, his teams would be tremendously better if he did no coaching at all….which is what Bruiser and Co. would hopefully bring. Clap your hands a few times and tell the boys good job. Sit your *** down and not tell the players where to dribble, where to pass, etc.

The “bridge year” stopped when we brought in all these transfers and every dumbass in this thread was talking championships. CALS GOT HIS SWAGGER BACK!!!

no doubt in my mind if cal got with another big program tomorrow he’d lose the weight and do all kinds of freaky **** with them. 2010-15 type freaky ****. He’s just complacent right now. I foolishly believed he was going to go scorched earth this season after last year. He brought in all the right guys, but he’s still on cruise control. He still knows how to get it done but he also knows we aren’t divorcing him.

Can TyTy create his own shot? I’ve not seen much from him to make me think he is this elite talent even though he is out of position.

It would be hard to bench Wheeler for Mintz, but that’s a fix with TyTy running point of ^is not a real issue because he can hit a shot when open at the least.

The guy showed up to the post game news conference Saturday in a sweaty looking white t-shirt and a Gatorade towel over his shoulder. I’m not saying he doesn’t gaf, but he is at the stage where he is sleeping in the guest bedroom

We saw a ton of promise from TyTy a month ago. Now he looks like he has no idea of what he’s supposed to be doing.

The writing was on the wall when after we scorched the nets against Ohio looking like a fun team to watch playing modern basketball Cal started his postgame basically saying that we’re not a 3 point shooting team and we need to focus on post play.

He just can’t help it and it will ultimately be his demise.

Even with Oscar playing well against Notre Dame the over emphasis on force feeding the post makes us look so bad on offense. Nothing is in a rhythmic sinc.

I mean I guess but the only unopen 3 he took Saturday he nailed.
This is true and I even said to myself the second he shot it, it just shows he is a natural shooter since he pulled with no time to consider “is this smart” “should I make an extra kick” etc. just pull after 3/4 consecutive misses, and splash!
