Best Summer job I ever had (I'll take a break after this post) was working for Olan MIlls. A buddy and I traveled all over the south, to different college campuses and took the group and team photos at UCA cheerleading camps. The host schools cheerleaders were volunteer helpers etc.

We got to stay on campus, and frequently, would hang out party with them.

Ole MIss, USC, UK or course, Auburn, Clemson, OSU, Purdue (yuck) among others.

I didn't make ****, probably lost money, but you're only young once.

The three guys who killed Ahmad are going to jail. No other outcome. And I don't think this case or Rittenhouse case either one are difficult cases. They got the Rittenhouse case correct, they will get this one.
After living eight years in South Georgia, I’m not convinced this Brunswick case is as done deal as you assume.

Dude has one that's from the 40's and was dragged out of a pond or some nonsense. He rebuilt the thing while he was living in a 1-bedroom apartment and the ENTIRE plane was in there as he was fixing/rebuilding/refurbishing it.

FYI: people who know how to build/fix things blow my mind.

100% on line with your “build/fix things” bit

Was it Catfsfan?
LOL, but NO. (at least not BGKY) Probably lost more than I have won, but have never been knocked out. Hit in the forehead with a long neck bottle busted me open, but did not drop me. Got hit in the head with a bat, split my wig back, but not knocked out. IF you ever get into a tussle with me, better not be faint of heart, you will have to keep bringing it. TMFS, I ain't no *****, I love giving it, but can take it pretty damn well. Got the scars to prove it. Scare on my forehead from previously mentioned long neck bottle, stabbed (right below my last rib on my right side), sliced with a butcher knife, left hand big finger was hanging by a thread, still kept mixing it up.

Also, if fight breaks out in a BAR, que ball is the last MF'n thing I am thinking of. Cue stick, beer bottle, picture (if glass) would be MY first choice of weapon. LOL, you would have a better chance grinding some chalk (or baby powder, rosin, whatever the place has for sweaty hands) and blowing it in dudes eyes, blinding him than getting a clear enough swing to place a que in hand and AIMING for the ear. Why que ball ? What if dude playing pool had just scratched ? 1,2,3,4, etc. etc. ball would be just as effective. How about nearest pool ball ?

You "basketballs" as you call yourself still clamoring for the great flame thrower Dontaie Allen to get Brooks minutes ?
I mean his shooting splits of 35.7% / 27.3% / 64.3% and a +/- of -1.47 if just off the charts. Meanwhile poor ole Brooks is scoring over 14 per game and grabbing 5.5 rebounds, while shooting over 50% from the filed and 85% from the line had a team leading +30 last night. 7/11 had 8 boards (8,8,7 last three games) and 2 blocks last night. Allen has 5 rebounds all YEAR, ZERO offensive. He has to versify his game, he just doesn't do ANYTHING other than hunt 3's. People say he 'sneaky' does this, does that, but 5 rebounds all year, 3 assist all year, 1 steal says different. I really like the kid, but he just doesn't bring much if he is not dropping daggers (27%), so he doesn't even have the sniper argument. Hope he stays and graduates, but if I am him, WKU looks pretty damn good.

Since you continue to make this point I’m going to respond.

Oscar must play, Wheeler must play. That gives you 2 nonshooters…offensive space, especially in modern basketball, is really difficult to find if you have 3 or more people on the floor you don’t have to guard more than 12 feet from the basket.

Despite his limited sample size of poor shooting this year, Allen has gravity because opposing coaches know if he gets hot he can swing games. You can’t leave him.

It’s not so much a Brooks v Allen thing, its more of a frustration with Cal that his lineups don’t mix and match with a thought to offensive spacing. If Brooks is playing with TyTy running point, Grady and Mintz the wings and Oscar or whoever else then I’m good, no complaints.

Basketball, at least smart basketball, is more than just counting stats because all counting stats aren’t created equal…it’s finding lineups that make sense spacing and chemistry wise to give guys the best opportunity to succeed.

I think a lot of what we are seeing with Grady is that he gets face guarded and help defended off of our nonshooters. His life is hard right now.

Cal has never seemingly cared about this with his sub patterns, I’m not sure he ever will but when you don’t have guys like Wall, Davis, Randle or Fox who are so talented that spacing almost doesn’t matter (at least in college) it becomes more important.

Plus, Allen is a Kentucky boy who has a good attitude and got s raw deal last year so I naturally overlook some of his flaws.

Penn St locks up James Franklin, and now I’m at ease with Stoops. My biggest fear was Franklin had SEC success and should be considered by both LSU and UF.

If PSU came open, I think he’d be gone, but I seriously think both LSU and UF will land someone with a little more shine than Stoops brings.

Yep. My biggest gripe. Regardless of defensive issues you absolutely have to put 3 offensive creators on the court at all times. Period. End of story. Any less and a mediocre team will exploit all day.

He routinely goes to his heavy big defense first team around the 16 minute mark of the second half.

I love Oscar foul trouble in these early games. Need to figure it out now because it's gonna happen more often than not. It'll be game plans for basically every team.

Stoops personality isn’t conducive for a program with delusional/unrealistic expectations… dude absolutely bristles when partially criticized for being ‘boring’ or when he gets questioned by the softball pitching delivered by the Lexington media.

there’s no previous successful history to ruminate upon here, he is it. He created our best era. He will have a statue. The field will have his name.

The paycheck would be nice at LSU, but Stoops would turn piglet magenta after the drunken meltdown resulting in a few botched games (which is inevitable).

UK is a seven win/year lock and guarantees an annual contract windfall with 3 cupcakes.

  • My old man - at age 25 - got one of those airplane kits and built himself an airplane. He and my mom got their pilot's licenses and had a great time with it until of course I was born and he instantly became more boring ("safety first" he said!) and sold the plane. It's still flying today.
  • Granted, I haven't followed the Arbery trial closely, but it seems the neighbor guy at least has a case that he shouldn't be convicted of "murder with malice" like the father/son crew (who are going to get what they deserve). He should have been wheeling and dealing with the prosecution from the get go.
  • I don't see a path where Cincinnati doesn't make the playoffs; probably justified they make it at this point even though their schedule is complete trash. But it would be funny to see them get screwed over again. Especially if Notre Dame takes the last spot. The twitter meltdown would be fabulous.

My biggest concern with keeping Stoops is the rumor about his ex wife getting half of what he makes at Kentucky. I hope that is an untrue rumor.
Stoops is a perfect fit here. The Rich Brooks retweet last week about Mitch not committing to facility upgrades is worrisome.
All 4 SEC games sold out this year so if you have to start over it’s a big *** hole.

Following one’s passion with no financial guarantees in place is a risk most aren’t willing to take…endless props.

…but I was slightly concerned that ukguy78 started flying a few weeks ago and is now an instructor. Just me?

Hopefully his rate is like 80% off…like a student massage or haircut.
Just logged my 300th flight hour yesterday. GYERO Aviation, LLC needs to happen.

So Heaven Hill, unhappy that people started buying Rittenhouse Rye to celebrate the verdict, went public with a statement, asking people not to buy their product if that was the purpose,

One quick thing before we move on. How could Heaven Hill be that tone deaf? I mean, they're based in Kentucky, and they thought that it was a good idea to get preachy to a solidly red state on a controversial.

And NOW, people are protesting Heaven Hill, by GRUDGE purchasing it, which seems completely counterintuitive. Either way, Rittenhouse Rye (at least the last time I had it) sucked wang.

All they had to do is ignore it and it goes away. That said, I may have to go purchase a bottle and just leave it out for my super woke cousins coming into town for Thanksgiving.

Rittenhouse Rye has long been a barkeep’s fav for an honest cocktail. Does that count for anything anymore?

Anyone tracking the Chester Ls? Seems he would be all about a working man’s Rye Whiskey.

Shrewd move on Heaven Hill's part. Sales from new buyers will more than absorb any loss in revenue from those who cancel HH over Rittenhouse.
