The fake injuries last night were obnoxious. UT was much worse than we were but it did not help that Valentine (of all people) mysteriously keeled over like he was shot in the achilles by a mysterious sniper while being showcased on the jumbotron.
I understand that it is clock management and strategy but there has to be a better way to do that than guys faking injuries on 80+% of plays. It is much worse in person than it is on tv, too.

There were a couple UT fans in my section hollering about us faking injuries and asking if we were Ole Miss, who eventually conceded they were also Ole Miss. It was bad. Not as bad as the blown face mask and horse collar or the secondary, but bad.
Funny you mention that because all night the people around me were bitching about UT doing it but nary word when that happened. I mean one minute the kid was standing there in the big screen and the next he was sitting down.

The fake injury crap is soooo easy to solve. If a defensive player gets hurt he should have to sit for the remainder of the possession if not the quarter, or a timeout can be used.

I’ll watch the powerboat parade with them and then slipping away into the dusk light around 6ish. Plus, I have zero desire to be out in crowds due to old and done it for a decade.

I stayed off the brown water last night to avoid such hangover. Plus my 2 year old had her normal 5:40am wake up which was 4:40am today.
That one was up there with some of worst, most deflating losses of the Stoops era. Stayed positive after the State debacle but I don’t know.

The total lack of respect from SEC officials to blow a key, obvious facemask on our QB of all people then to add the rare 15 yarder on the coach completely chaps my ***. Would they do that to Saban? Yeah right.
I’m not a fan of the injury delays, but offenses get every advantage in the book - hell, no one talks about the fact that holding calls in CFB have basically disappeared - so I can’t complain too much.
Opposing QBs are 51-59 over the past two games, with 5 TDs and 0 interceptions. This seems impossible.
Just want to reiterate our defensive performance was historically bad.

We would have been better off running a three deep zone last night. Terrible coverage. Blown assignments everywhere.
All I'm hearing is about the missed facemask but we still converted 4 and 24. We then played our way into another 4th and long losing the game even though we moved the ball at will all game.

Yeah that’s reverse thinking or some term. Play calling would’ve been different(lord I hope) if we had gotten the penalty been in FG range with a first down. A few runs to see what kind of yardage we get instead of 3 prayer passes because at worst you know you can tie with a FG.

Regardless, we scored plenty, our defense was atrocious from the first play, but clearly it was all the missed facemask call.
A bad night? Our D has been bad since the second quarter of the Georgia game. We’ve allowed 106 points in 11 quarters of football, since then. We’ve scored 72 points in that stretch, but all that accomplished was 0-3. Whatever the problem is (pass defense tops the list), it’s not just one bad night.

Our corners suck. We were able to disguise it some early in the season with a solid pass rush. Over the last few games we've lost the pass rush through injury and opposing coaches have realized how bad we are on the perimeter, so they're attacking the weakness.
That post, while absolutely true, doesn't portend very good things for the remainder of the season.
