They used to come over to Haggin during snowstorms and wage war on us. It was fun as hell, but I never got tagged too bad. Saw a couple of dudes get power-bombed, though. 😆
Yep. The Pikes and Phi Sigs in the six-pack were always the first (easy) targets. Kurt Johnson, who was maybe 5’-8” with track speed absolutely hunted down a friend of mine with a sprinting form-tackle into a snow bank. An image I will never forget.

*Change of plans for Friday. Staying at 21c instead of the Hyatt. $30 cheaper and I doubt I'll be in the room very much. So, yeah.

*Off the rest of the week. I'm taking the boy to get his permit today, so that's cool.

*Plan isn't to go nuts this weekend. My goal is to maintain a laid back buzz like I did for the opener. Who knows.

- Dana O’Neil always writes the exact ******** article you think she’s going to write (for instance “Underestimate Hubert Davis at Your Own Peril”).

- Got our daughter one of those little plastic cars you push as she rides along and she’s obsessed. I take her out every day and she screams and squeals practically the entire time. Neighbors must think there’s a pterodactyl flying around.

- I’d be a tad nervous if I owned a bunch of Zion Williamson stock right now- fat guys and foot problems aren’t a good combination.

- Bears repeating, Kyrie Irving is the dumbest sonofabitch in pro sports.

- I am not sure he’ll be a championship-level coach but I’m starting to get the feeling Woodson will do well at Indiana.

- Another big college football Saturday:

Arkansas-Georgia at noon
UC-Notre Dame at 2:30
Ole Miss-Bama at 3:30
Cats-Gators at 6

- Something I’ve been thinking about lately with a child of my own is the feeling of comraderie and connection to those you grew up with- the people you’ve known since kindergarten. I’m not even talking about the ones you’re still close to, but how nice it is even seeing or hearing about the folks you haven’t seen in awhile. There’s a certain bond there with the people you’ve known forever.

- "White Lotus": Take a dump in a suitcase. "White Wayne": Take a dump in GYERO.

- Sounds like the Bears are finally making a strong move to leave Soldier Field for a new stadium. Maybe Soldier Field is great, maybe it's a dump, I don't know (I guess Chumps would know, having been there recently). But growing up, the place just SEEMED cool, even though it was AstroTurf for most of the 80's. Probably had more to do with the coolness level of those McMahon/Fridge/Payton teams than the actual stadium. DID YOU KNOW?: The very first football game ever played at Soldier Field was a high school game featuring an area HS vs. Louisville Male.

- Was hoping to catch an MLB game last night with AL Wildcard implications, but since the only game on was ATL/PHI, I ended up watching "The Paper Chase" instead. Is that required viewing for you GYERO lawballs out there? I love the look and feel of movies from the 70's, and knew that it was highly-regarded because of John Houseman as the professor, but I wondered if it bears any resemblance at all to the law school experience that you guys had. It was set at Harvard, so probably not?

- The dog has switched from bunnies to mice now, guys.

- I've just sorta assumed that Neal Brown and Chris Holtmann would be Mitch's first calls for potential football/basketball openings, respectively. But man, as much as they've pretty well established their coaching chops to this point, it would make me feel a lot better if both of those guys took a major step forward at their current positions before coming to Lexington. Brown still seems to be picking up the pieces from Holgorsen's era, but Holtmann inherited a better situation and seems to have plateaued with it.

It is part of why I have found myself caring less about the political world in last 18 months, even though my beliefs remain as strong.

Next time let me know when you are there and it’s on me….that goes for anyone on here not named UKO

In other words, you have realized that your political party are lying cheating bastards and you are distancing yourself, despite not having the stones to say it. Golf clap for that, at least.

Oh...I've received two comped meals at your place in the past year due to poor service, so thanks. Next time it's on me.

Paper Chase was a portrait of whininess, self importance, and cut throatness that defines GYERO lawballs. Next question.

I think most lawballs can remember a professor who was somewhat like the dude in Paper Chase. For me it was Prof. Schneider, property and trusts/estates. Old school for sure, but also one of my favorites. Genuinely nice guy.

-Believe you mean weed, which is not a drug. Fact.

-Of course Vern Like Woodson, being an IU fan and all.

-If you think a drunk redneck chick is above screaming racial slurs during an altercation you're an idiot. I put the likelihood of that being dead accurate, as it was confirmed by multiple parties. Chicks acting like idiots have gotten me into more altercations than my own mouth. Not even b/c I'm naturally going to side with UK but because of what we've read, which is mostly the frats version, I felt like it was 100% BS and never should've resulted in charges.

-Rick Ross isn't a great rapper but man he has the top 5 voice. Been a steady feature on my workout playlist.

-Heard on a podcast today that smokeless tobacco doesn't significantly increase your chance of cancer. No way that's accurate, is it? Thought that sh*t was awful for you.

-Last fall ball game with the core group Friday. 😢

-Kyrie is an idiot but I thought Isaac and Beal had very reasonable, well thought out responses yesterday, especially Isaac. Both of those guys have had covid and have antibodies so neither need to be in a hurry to be vaxed Science says they're more protected than vaxers. That's not some Nicki Minaj testicle nonsense like what Kyrie is going to put out there. Trying to shame, bully or make people feel stupid to get them to do something they're scared of isn't exactly the best way to go about helping them understand the benefits.

-I just don't see us winning this weekend. We would need Levis to be near perfect. They're going to sellout on CRod. I'm just not sure Levis is ready for that yet. I think we take a hard fought L this weekend and roll next weekend.

-Sounds like Bona is swinging back our way. **That's what she said** Years of entertainment for 80 and Bob.

Worst: daughter & her friend
First: son
Agree but don’t sleep on the fact the son, most redeemable character in the show, is basically now rich kid who dropped out of school to paddle a canoe.

I thought I blacked out and missed 15 minutes when new wife shows up at the airport and things are a-ok now.

Can I just say something? I have no idea if racial slurs were used or if a gun was on the player. But this not what hearsay is. Hearsay is testifying the truth of something in court based on what someone else told you

There is direct evidence in the form of personal testimony of both the racial slurs and the gun. Now you can choose to believe or disbelieve either one (Wayne believes the Frat kids bc he is a frat kid and the players are black, most UK fans believe the UK players and many of you seem to believe neither) but their testimony is not hearsay. That is something else

This has been my TED talk
All I know is Karen has let loose with her racial slurs lately and carrying a gun is legal. Play ball!

-Section 209 with the boys for LSU. If we can pull this weekend off, I think we’re going to beat LSU. Fingers crossed.

-Taking the pup to the dog park after I leave the gym. Boy is he loving all this time I have off.

Next week though have to buckle down and renew my 50 ton Captains License and work on some real estate classes. Also, have to get someone working on my boat ASAP. All a pain but better now than while working.

-Only plus I can think of driving over flying is you can bring firearms and weed with you. I have a pen but flower is just so much better. Planes saying you can’t bring pens with you anymore but I haven’t been bugged about mine.

-Speaking of firearms, my buddy since firever, we grew up in Cardinal Creek together E’town, has literally tens of thousands in guns and ammo. We’re going to hook up and burn through a bunch money in targets and ammo.

He’s got a photo album of government issued firearms stamps. I mean, suppressors, automatics, short barrels, everything, etc. Night vision should be fun.

-Any dog friendly bars/restaurants in Lexington?
