Turns out the real Bishop Sycamore was the friends we made along the way (of losing a lot of football games badly before being shut down as a fraud school)

Apparently we've beat COVID everywhere except Michigan.

I took it as the issue was with last years game and then we argued about when and where to play this year so it didn’t happen. Wasn’t ND basically added last minute last year to replace them, or am I making **** up again?

You are making **** up again.

We knew we were playing ND, but thought it was going to be at a neutral site.

The game had been set @Michigan on Dec. 4th for a little while. Michigan is now playing San Diego State on that date and we have the day off.

It might seem like we're ducking a road trip to Michigan because we're probably ducking a road trip to Michigan. It's not a coincidence the feel-good game with High Point/Tubby was announced just before news came out that we backed out of the Michigan game.

Good. We are only 4 wins ahead of Kansas all-time. Let's manufacture a big win season after last year and make sure we honor Tubby while we can.

I love it.

Hipster take warning: I used to be “in the bourbon game” pretty deep several years ago. That stopped when the whole bourbon bros/raffles/trades scene popped up and sucked the fun out of every bit of it (for me anyway).

That said, I do have one unopened bottle of PVW 23 from back then that I know for a fact from the bottle code is pure, original SW juice. Looking forward to opening that with CF on his college graduation day, wedding day, something of that nature down the road.

Probably wedding day, kid still won’t appreciate that type of bourbon at 22. He’ll have been drinking ET or whatever is cheapest during his time.

I mean, if I get married at some point I’ll be in my 40s so you could crack it for me!

Hope them bottles don’t spoil, y’all. Drink them sumbitches a’fore they go ruint. I don’t know why I put on country slang there. Just felt right.

Reds going into that September swoon like I knew they would. Cardinals will wind up getting that 2nd wildcard spot because Sports hates me.

- BUNNY WATCH 2021: The good news....one of the bunnies survived, and it turns out there were at least 2-3 more out in the yard that survived as well. The bad news...we realized this only after someone let the dog out last night. She found them pretty quickly. Many buffets never reopened after the COVID lockdown, but there was definitely one open in a Woodford County backyard last night.

My youngest thinks that they were all "rescued" by the momma and have fled to freedom and prosperity. We're not going to tell her any differently.

- "Modern Family" doesn't hold up as well as I thought it would, for some reason. Had forgotten how terrible Manny was.

- I still haven't seen a single explanation for why American weapons, machinery, etc. wasn't destroyed entirely before the final departure from Afghanistan. Pretty disconcerting to see Taliban dressed up in American gear, flying blackhawks, holding our weapons, etc.

- Cats finish 9-4.

- We didn't appreciate the Montreal Expos' caps and unis enough.

- I will HIDE your ***, Llama. Don’t try me.

- Sounds like Cason Wallace and Shaedon Sharpe a comin’ soon. That’s a Fox/Monk level duo, doesn’t even count Fredrick, Allen and Sky Clark.

- Pretty excited to see our new offense on Saturday. Still remember Couch coming out and bombing Louisville Mumme’s first year.

- Speaking of, probably doesn’t go over well this day and age, but Couch’s old man freezing him out and refusing to speak to him when he told him he wanted to go to Tennessee is my kind of parenting.

- Why why WHY does the damn Jeopardy host need to be a morally unscathed person of virtue? F off.

- 30 years since Pearl Jam’s Ten. Wow. Still bangs.

Seems pretty GD stupid not to at least permanently disable our vehicles before leaving the country.

And leaving all of the guns and **** also seems moronic. Admittedly I’m no warball, but I don’t really understand why we didn’t clean all that **** out as we were preparing to leave. I mean, hell, just destroy them. Don’t leave them to be used by the GD Taliban.

At first it was claimed that were left for Afghan forces. The current claim is that the weapons were damaged beyond use.

Of course they aren't damaged beyond use based on videos like this.

I'm still very glad we are out of that ********.

Maybe, just maybe they left all that there for a reason? Arms deal in plain sight?

You scoff at the thought but would anything surprise you these days?

The alternative to that is we were too stupid to load up our ish and take it home. Not like the military has to worry about checked baggage limits and stuff...

...so assuming they aren't as dumb as they've appeared the last two weeks (stretch, I know) then the thought turns to it all being left in exchange / payment / appeasement for something....

...or an excuse to go back in 6-12 months when it becomes a medieval hell hole again.

I remember reading about when Japan and Germany and Italy were actively trying to take over the world and we refused to enter into conflict and now we occupy countries for 20 years if a suicide bomber is from there. I don’t know WTF our foreign policy goal has been for the last 80 years but I see no reason why the hell we are in that ******** other than money. I don’t ever see us occupying any poor African countries. Pretty sure we’ve gotten 80% of our opium from Afghanistan the last 20 years too. The more countries we’re out of the better and let’s take care of our own **** here.

Hours and hours of playing this probably served as ample preparation:
