My grandpa Rufus thinks future grandpa Brayden is a puss.

89 years old, ornery as hell, and told me he was happy with his Kroger butter pecan ice cream when my mom and I offered him Graeters this weekend. That’s insane, but that’s Rufus. He also loves the football Cayts more than Freddie Maggard, probably, and was a season ticket holder til his body told him no more stadium trips. OG.
Freddie ain’t the measuring stick. It’s Richie! Sounds like I would love Rufus.

Brayden can be shortened to Bray as he gets older. Uncle Bray, Grandpa Bray. Think it could work.

Chester, Norman, Beryl, Burdean, Rhoda Sue among others.

- Grandparents: Denzil, Ralph, Hazle, Emma. Uncles: Mark, Bob, Sonny, Johnny. Aunts: Cheryl, Helen, Fran, and Janet. Great-uncles had some pretty strong names, too: Noble, Louis, and Beanie.

- Always annoyed me when state high schools just used UK's fight song. Woodford does it, and wife's alma mater does it. Seems like a music teacher could come up with SOMETHING.

- Parenting hassle that somehow we've mostly avoided....our kids selling stuff for school fundraisers. Seems like 3-4 times a year, my brother or I were bringing home some catalog of overpriced crap that we had to sell for whatever program/team we were part of. We always just made rudimentary calls to grandparents/relatives, then my mom would take it to her break room and try to scrounge up some orders. Never sold enough to get even the minimum "reward". What a pain. Feels like most team fundraisers these days center on those discount cards to local businesses. Much better system, IMO.

- I hate pretty much every couple on "House Hunters". And not just because of their ridiculous budgets. It's mainly just their personalities. This also includes my cousin and her (now ex) husband, who were featured once on "House Hunters".

- Oh, so your business is "Under New Management" now? Well, here I come!

- I didn't necessarily think that he would bring Nebraska back to national title contention or anything, but I did not see the Scott Frost debacle unfolding the way it has. Native son, proven head coach, exciting offense...if he can't get that program back to prominence, I'm not sure who can.

WofoCo fight song is very similar, but slightly different than UK song. Sort of like Ice Ice Baby and Under Pressure.

I have a good friend and his wife that are going to be on house hunters later this week.

Nathe retired? Seems like that should have been more prominent news.

Guess that means no more "Carl Nathe AT the half" on the radio either 😔

I have a 5 gallon carboy filled with change. (no pennies, just nickels and up.)

I asked my credit union if I could bring it in and exchange it for bills (I would need a pallet truck), and they just laughed, and not in a good way.

I've been saving my change for almost exactly 25 years. And I will always stop to pick up any coins, even pennies. I'm up to well over $5,000.00.

-Desales still had(has?) the best band in history. Straight up rock band. Crushed it. Really solid school song as well.

-Nebraska has an issue being in the middle of f*cking nowhere and Tom Osbourne not orchestrating serious cheating.

-"Pled guilty to marijuana charges." 🤬 Look, you don't want to legalize medical/recreational? Fine. F*cking stupid bible thumping ********, but whatever. Just do the right thing and stop messing up young kids records with marijuana charges. Ridiculous.

-Leave the gun at home Vito. I do appreciate how pissed UL fans are about all this. Short memory for those folks. Let it play out, imo. Situation seems weird.

-Hesitant to get ahead of ourselves but it's looking more like delta deaths aren't following the same trajectory as the last waves. Fingers crossed.

-I wasn't joking about Vandy. Didn't realize they fired Mason. Just saw a quick picture of their new guy on SEC Now. Geez.

-Nathe was synonymous with UK Football but I'm good with bringing in someone with a little more edge.

-Summer sticking around a bit longer. Suck it, fat ankles.

In addition to the change in name traditions, my first thought was "wow, some of you have BIG families." I guess most of us have a parent or grandparent that's one of 5-6+ kids, while we look at people of this generation with X kids (3-4?) or more and wonder if they think they're the Duggars.
