The constant updates of scoot scoot in two places on the internets was just too much for me, man. I have started restricting social media of people I actually know when I realized how many people I like just fine in real life SUCK OUT LOUD at the internet. I had to block my aunt from seeing my posts because she was driving me nuts, and I love her. I suspect she won't notice and I'll actually be able to enjoy talking with her in the non-digital realm. 🤷‍♀️

And uh it's definitely not impossible to put on 25 lbs of muscle in 2 years as a college athlete. It's not easy but it's well within the realm of possible.

-this place is the extent of my social media. If something of note happens y'all will let me know.

-someone was talking about phone calls vs. text last week. I have a half dozen friends that I make a point of calling to shoot the breeze on a monthly basis (assumes I haven't seen em recently ). Text is perfect for nearly everything else.

Spoiler Alert: If anybody watched "Spies Like Us", they'd actually have a positive to neutral view of the Taliban (or as Dan Ackroyd called them - Afghani freedom fighters).

Yeah just go put on 25 lbs of muscle no biggie. Besides that’s impossible in less than 2 years at that age. How bout you lose 25 pounds of fat if it’s that easy?

- He’s a 20 year old college athlete at a SEC school with world class strength training facilities and top notch nutritionists.

- I don’t need to lose 25 pounds of fat.

Taliban wasn't formed until the 90s. Guess they don't teach these things in Norton Commons.

The mujahideen in Afghanistan were originally Afghan freedom fighters resisting the Soviets and anti-Islam forces, and they were CIA funded (among others, like Great Britain; primary funding was wealthy Persian Gulf donors). The cause attracted people from all over the Muslim world during the Soviet-Afghan conflict. So, mujahideen strongholds in Afghanistan became one of the breeding grounds for Islamoterrorists, jihadists, and radicalists, including Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and Mohammed Omar. Osama set up mujahideen camps around the area, funded them with donors from the Soviet era, and then attracted radical Islamic folks to what became al-Qaeda (including multiple members of the Hamburg cell, like Ramzi bin al-Shibh, Mohammed Atta, and Ziad Jarrah). Those camps were al-Qaeda training camps. So, while the mujahideen may not have started as a terrorist cell or religious dictatorship, that's what they turned into, and American tax dollars gave them an assist.

So **** 'em.

We will be back in Afghanistan within 5 years. Hopefully we just retake Bagram and keep the infrastructure in place to stage commando raids against terrorists and otherwise stay out of it.

*I didn't drink a single beer this weekend. I may as well been in Afghanistan.

*Wife's boss in town this week means the kids and I are fending for ourselves. This usually means we circle the neighborhood and hit one place a day.

*After school pickup has been a disaster. Well over an hour wait each day so far. I guess that's what happens when you totally change up a process that worked last year.

*Biden. Lolz.

My daughter rides the bus down to Mogadishu (downtown Louisville), but if I were in your shoes I think I would pay her $10 a day if she would just sit there and do her homework for an hour and I'll pick her up towards the end of the line.

Once I get the timing down, that's what I do. Usually one of the last parents to show before they shut it down.

So for those that don't know, Dad suffered a severe stroke late Saturday. Been in ICU since, fighting...

Had a great day at Club Championship R1, postgame at the new Harry's upstairs (man, that entire place is really something) with a friend betting Saratoga, and was in an Uber on the way to the Casino when I got the call....immediate turnaround, and was up early for a WD from golf, and racing down to Madisonville.

Dumbass Covid rules are limiting to 1 visitor per day & 2 hour max, so it's a mess. I was able to see him for 20 minutes after throwing a fit & pleading/crying with the sweet old lady working the front, but haven't been able to since, and trying to decide who gets to each day has been a mess -- my brother, and others, have had no such luck breaking the rules. It's ********, and such a helpless feeling knowing he's in there confused, scared, and has no clue why or what happened, and no family to be there with him.

No need to clog up GYERO with responses to this, but prayers appreciated. I've really been through it these past 18 months on a personal level, it's essentially been endless man - I mean, damn.

Woke up sat morning at 4:30 in the morning with excruciating pain, straight to ER. All their beds were full, and 19 people in front of me waiting for beds. All anti vaxer DUMBFOCKS.
I was fortune to get on the phone and find an ER across town with minimal wait time. Kidney stones are the focking devil.
I'm all for choice, but if you choose to not get vaccinated, you shouldn't be allowed to use the hospital for Covid related ****.
The fact people can't see their extremely sick parents, kids, spouses because you dumbasses won't get vaccinated is BS.

Remains to be seen what Will Levis does on the field...he'll probably need a minute, but the talent is clearly there.

But damn, that kid definitely has "it" as an outgoing QB 'face of the program' guy.

He seems like a confident and natural leader....and stands to make a **** ton of money under this NIL with his outgoing personality and social media savvy. If he's even nicely above average, he'll be a BBN superstar as far as that goes.

Dude has 3 more years? I'm all in.
