Wednesday Shorts:

-Eli was a blast. 72/76 for me from the wuss tees...good for 5th in 1st flight & a little cash. Bonus closest to pin on #14. Hit it great, couldn't make anything.

-A couple good stories, particularly a scary one involving dumbass Chase. 👀

-Davion Mitchell is going to be such a stud. What a freak burst that guy has with the ball...and going to be an absolute terror on Defense. Worship that dude.

-The new Cocaine Cowboys is pretty dope, but LMAO at the Pitbull theme song/rap. **** is so comically bad it's legit nauseating.

-Put me down as officially over summer - this weather is gross.

-Shaedon Sharpe...shew man. He's up there with my most-wanted in many years, hopefully we can fend off the pros for his services. Dude is just sick.

-Congrats to all the GYERO kiddos and their 1st day of school. Are cool superhero/other masks the new Trapper Keepers?

-Everyone enjoying Donda? 🙄 What an annoying clown.

-@wanderfervor is a great IG follow for everyone to add who enjoys incredible travel/nature pics. Some amazing stuff on there.

-Cool little story on Brandon Knight's attempted comeback:

My new hat boggen aside from being a conspiracy theorist Arian brotherhood supporter is watching videos of black Americans walking around in China.

Chinese people are genuinely astonished at seeing them. Every person in the frame is holding their phone up so they can go home and show their family what they’ve seen

“You Lebron Jame?”

Still waiting for our first NIL deal from Bryant Heating and Cooling.

Wan'dale >>>>>> Marlene

If I'm Bryant H&C I go out and find a smooth 6'9 forward, get him to commit to UK, nickname him the Iceman, and then make commercials where he says "Even the Iceman knows you need Bryant Heating and Air to keep your place cool this summer".

* Got my timing with the lass figured out perfectly. When we're going out, and she's "almost ready," I start getting ready. Perfect amount to do my thing, and usually have a few minutes to spare to sit down and read CatPaw, have a beer, etc.

* Most obnoxious version of an average female is either.....

a> wedding reception and Beyonce's Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) comes on
or
b> bachelorette party with blowup dolls, matching shirts, penis straws, etc

* One of the most profound things I've ever read on GYERO -- years ago, JDrum astutely pointed out that the urban AA and the rural cauc are the same person. And damn, he was totally right.

* Other than krazykats, who is the most likely poster on here to shop at fingerhut.com?

I had never heard of that place in my entire life, but my first boss right out of college (when I was slinging high rate loans) explained to me that if you see a FingerHut card on someone's credit profile, they'll borrow money from ANYONE. Take that fwiw.

* Getting new tires may be the only big vehicle maintenance purchase I ever happily make. Just seems like a very worthwhile event, and certainly one of the few you mostly know will last for a long time.

* Yeonmi Park (North Korean activist and espapee)

Not sure what's going on here, but does this chick have a huge rack or what? Or is she the only 80-pound malnourished North Korean with a great boob job? I'm confused.

(pretty dope, btw)

* Waiting for the announcement that vaccines are mandated to go indoors here in town. Should be coming this week, or at least that's my expectation. Got my "F my white ***" handwritten index card ready to rock n roll, just because.

* New client in the state's capitol recently opened a music venue/bar/lounge. Last weekend had a Mystikal show, and she's currently working on Mannie Fresh. If anyone needs tickets/VIP, I got the hookup (holla if ya hear me).

* So, ThroughBlue is UKDallas/chiefpaduke, right? Gotta be. The combination of political paranoia/conspiracy, and awfulness is a perfect match.

Lotta talk at the pool this weekend about how Mannie Fresh and Juvenile looked in that “Vax That Thing Up Video”.

For the record I fall in the side of they look aged but they live the sort of lifestyle you’d expect them to age so who am I to judge?

To be fair (to me), it was not my fault, even though I was basically black out hammered. There were 5 people on my cart, and I'm minding my own business about midnight driving the cart, meanwhile, a buddy and his wife in another cart come flying like a bat out of hell to pass me, but end up clipping my tires, which then causes one of those police chase spin out maneuvers.

The only thing I see is their cart turning at a 90-degree angle in front of mine, him rolling on the ground after being thrown out, then his wife rolling on the ground being thrown out. The empty cart then directly smokes a tree. He had a small cut on his hand, and his wife (a Russian) took it like a champ. Although, I'd wager that she tore his *** up when they left the scene.

I could hear him apologizing to her before his body even hit the ground. 🤣

It jacked up the alignment or something on my cart though, I'm going to have to get that fixed soon. Feels like I'm driving a sailboat now.

I came across a flipped over golf cart in my neighborhood a while back, fat chick stuck underneath it with her pants around her ankles. It was a sight. The two other people on board were kind of in a state of shock - broken beers all around. I got the golf cart off the gal and back on its wheels. None of the people really said much to me and they drove off. Just a dangerous situation all around I tell ya.

My sister's family isn't exactly healthy, but they do really well for themselves and have a super nice lake house. No one in the family golfs, but they have 3 golf carts they drive all over the property. It's always weird to me when my BIL offers me "a ride" to the dock which is about 100 yards away. Rich fat people, man....

Recently, while waiting in the back of a room before speaking to a group of new freshmen, I overheard two of the guys discussing "How wild would it be if covid was worse but you only got it on certain parts of your body?" and the examples they gave were just amazing.

"Yeah like- if you could get a massive covid on your dick- dude- i'd get the shot for sure"

They went on for 10 minutes probably. Essentially making covid sound like huge disgusting cases of herpes. I could still see them while I was addressing the group- just laughing hysterically. Talking about dick covid.

Earlier this summer an optometrist here in Raleigh was charged in his wife's death because he flipped the cart and she got smoked heading home from the county club.

-golf cart craze is in full effect in my hood. I don't live on or near a golf course. I'm assuming some douche canoe (more likely his wife) said "if it's good enough for kiawah!"...

^will not end well. Some drunk idiot gonna get killed crossing chinoe.

Just my high school and college pal Kyler passed away a couple days ago. I’m sure some on here knew him. Awesome guy and really nice. That’s a bummer, you just never know.

Dude many of y'all know fell out of a golf cart several weeks ago and hit his head when he tried to get out and his driver unknowingly took off -- almost died. They're scary (AF).

As I look back on it, I have lucked out of many an injury at Woodson Bend over the years. Sheesh.

A guy in my neighborhood fell off a golf cart, presumably while drunk, hit his head, and had to be life-flighted to the hospital. Very, very nearly died from a head injury.

Last year some teenage girls were driving the cart paths at night, went way too fast around a corner, and flipped it halfway into a pond. One girl broke her arm, both went to the hospital by ambulance. Both are lucky to be alive, considering they were trapped under the cart, and the lower half of their bodies were in the pond.

So, yeah, golf carts can be very dangerous.

Once during the Wild Turkey golf tournament probably 10+ years in Lawrenceburg my buddy said that we could use someone's cart after the Calcutta and karaoke to go play cards at a house on the back end of the course. He said that he had already talked to the cart owner who lived next door to the house where we would be playing cards.

We were 7 deep on a normal golf cart and hanging off the back and hood. All shitfaced and going thru the rough and mud. Cart was covered in mud and I think a something was broken on the back of it.

Come to find out the owner had left the cart for her gay son and his boyfriend. My buddy essentially stole it and had it coved in mud and just left it in their front yard.

The next day at the course was something. Since I was an out of towner it was no big deal for me but it was touch and go if the owner was going to call the cops on my buddy. But my buddy offered to clean it up and fix everything. I think to this day he still gets **** about stealing that cart. Not sure how no one got hurt.

-Had some buddies in HS get really messed up in a golf cart wreck. Hell I think they were in the same class as Clark. Rudd is right, they're all over the hood these days which makes no sense. We have some fairly busy streets and can walk everywhere.

-If you're pushing for masks, under 12 makes very little sense. Under 5 is just really f*cking cruel for every single reason. It's proven by the CDC young kids aren't susceptible, they're not efficient at transmitting, they're in almost no danger of serious effects, and day cares haven't had major issues even in the heat of covid last year. Not sure why we think masking 1 specific sector during a surge is going to do anything to slow it down, but very little of the restrictions, short of literally shutting down the world and staying home, have accomplished much.

-Like I said a few week ago. The vaccine hesitancy is with a specific demographic but it's not race. Sorry that doesn't advance your political agenda. Maybe you'll get the next victory.

-Was bound to happen but little man finally broke a bone. Dude is 100% at all times. Falls all over the places. Been said before but watching your kids sick or injured is about the worst feeling in the world. Crushed for him as he's going to have a hard time slowing down. No more summer swimming or Fall ball. Damn. He handled it like a champ though. Props to UK ER for in and out service. Tried to explain to him how jealous I was when a kid came to class with a cast on but he was embarrassed AF this morning.

-Caught some of After Life. Gotta be honest I almost quit it after the 2nd and 3rd episode, just too dark and I love Gervais, but glad I stuck it out. Like KL said, episode 5 was excellent. It's not Parks N Rec Snake Juice good, but it's still amazing.

-Kanye 😖 You knew this was coming. He's off the reservation. What are the odds Donda actually comes out? Like 10%?

-Rebecca has gotten hotter in S2, btw. When Keely doesn't have her hair pulled back she's dope too. Not into that spice girls look.

-No plans this weekend and I caint wait.

-Mannie in a walk over KLC.

I live in a smug old hilly neighborhood with tiny streets and windy roads and there are TEENS out here on golf carts. It’s gonna end poorly.

- On my desk at work, I generally have four pairs of headphones at the ready (headset, large noise cancelling (2), AirPods Pro). How anti-social at work does that make me appear? I say “very.”

- The coach pitch kids are just flinging bats at me now. The better they get, the more hits they have, the more excited they are, the more bats are flung. The math checks out.

- Work’s all fun and games until you can’t track earthwork cut and fill progress on a large industrial site with differencing heat map in Civil 3D because you can’t accurately tie the surveyors’ ground control points information to your digital surface model from drone photogrammetry because the GCP’s are set to South Ohio State Plane Coordinate system from the High Accuracy Resource Network Coordinate System but the EXIF data from the drone camera is set to WGS and meters and the European drone mapping software keeps converting decimal degrees of latitude and longitude to decimal projected US survey feet (because why wouldn’t it?!) and auto detecting the coordinates to a field outside of Carbondale, Illinois instead of South Ohio. Just a delightful workflow. Forums have led me nowhere, but at least I’m not alone in my rage.
