Man, I just can't do this again...I'm triggered by it. Some people just say "Killer, it's not that big of a deal, just relax!" But, I can't. Our leaders refuse to listen to our opinions, to reason and statistics that show that we want change. We are talked down to and treated like children when we make our voices heard.

Yes, I'm talking about our uniforms...football and basketball. Seeing Will Levis in the awful blueberry threads with checkerboard trim gave me PTSD. What are we doing? We've had the same generic design now for how many years? We are starting to recruit and play like an actually SEC team...can we not look like one? It's unacceptable is what it is. I might even type a strongly worded email.

- Got a septuple bogey this weekend which was exciting. With that said, walking 9-12 holes a couple of times per week just clears my head. Rarely have any desire to be in a cart.
I raise your Septuple Bogey with a smooth 117 2 days ago. Also, I thought most everyone played double par was the most you can get?

Otherwise if I’m watching someone hack away (like myself) for 14 shots on one hole I’m like pick it up loser, let’s move on. Hell, I kick the ball to where I want to play it, out from under trees, fluff it up on some grass tufts, on the first cut move it to the fairway, etc. I’m there to hangout with the boys, no effs given about ACTUAL score.

Nothing about this is accurate at all. Per my post yesterday. The idea that Chris Paul is so rich that he would brush off FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS is completely absurd.
You're talking to an adult that brags about lying so he can get Medicaid and going home to stay with his parents so they can cook all his meals.

Thinking you can use logic with him on money is like buying a boat before a house and thinking you are wise.

- So impressed with Allyson Felix. Still killing it on the track at 35, a mom, active on social issues but not annoying about it, humble and gracious. Glad that my running-loving daughter has someone like that as an example.

- I'm not all that into jazz, but I can listen to the Dave Brubeck Quartet pretty much anytime.

- New car smell really is intoxicating. Right up there with freshly-printed mimeographed(dittoed) worksheets back in elementary school.

- If I say this on Facebook, my dad will see it. If I say this on Twitter, my wife will see it. If I say this on IG, my kid will see it. So I'll say it here...I'm really struggling with my mom's passing. We all lose our parents, obviously, but having to watch the deterioration in real time, and how she was robbed of so much over the final months/years of her life, is still pretty haunting to me. For every instance I remember a fun/fond memory I have of her, I have two moments where I think about how much she was hurting, or think about something she's gonna miss out on in the future. I know this is too heavy for GYERO on a Tuesday morning, but like I said, this is the only place I can mention it and not have it seen by a family member. I don't need any responses about it, I just needed a place to say it. Some days are just really, really hard.

- UKO is a dork.

Hang in there Llama, I’m in the same boat. Mine passed over the holidays and I’m just now getting around to burying her ashes and giving the family the burial ceremony.

- Not sure I mentioned it, but Vonn Subs is fantastic for cheesesteaks. That grippos seasoned cheesesteak is causing a problem for me.

"They had to find ways of spending their gobs of money while showing they didn’t care for material things. So they developed an elaborate code of financial correctness to display their superior sensibility. Spending lots of money on any room formerly used by the servants was socially defensible: A $7,000 crystal chandelier in the living room was vulgar, but a $10,000, 59-inch AGA stove in the kitchen was acceptable, a sign of your foodie expertise. When it came to aesthetics, smoothness was artificial, but texture was authentic. The new elite distressed their furniture, used refurbished factory floorboards in their great rooms, and wore nubby sweaters made by formerly oppressed peoples from Peru."

Did you post that just to troll Anth?

* No doubt we're gonna get nuked with sweltering heat leading into Labor Day weekend and football season to make up for this mild start to August.

* Any of you weekend warriors ever done Cryotherapy? Makes sense on paper but like a lot of these new age therapies, probably more flash than substance.

* Like adult beverage access to the masses and the Power K, seems the uniforms are really just about Barnhart being bullheaded and not wanting to concede an inch

* Looking forward to melting in CWS on the 4th.

* Played Weissinger Hills Sunday. First time out there and the group I was with was turbo impressed by how great of shape the course is than years past. For the price and playability, well worth the 30 minute drive from JeffCo.

* W. W. W. W. L. W. L. L. L. W. W. W.

Had my lefty family members out on the boat Sunday. Managed to avoid politics until we were pulling back into the marina.

“Oh hey look there’s some Biden flags!”

Yeah look a little closer, lol.

“Oh, F#ck Biden.”

Yeah, F#ck Biden.

I haven't but know a bunch of people who've tried it through a groupon, etc. I don't know a single one who thought it did anything. Dry needling is absolutely worth the cost, though. It's the only "alt therapy" I actually have benefitted from apart from regular ol' deep tissue massage.

Another proud Dad moment this past weekend. My older son Hudson flat played his butt off all weekend long. Got on base at every at bat, hit multiple doubles & triples, 20+ RBIs, got tons of outs defensively.

You spend so much time at the ball fields practicing, lessons, etc, and sometimes you wonder if it's all worth it. My youngest is just freakishly gifted athletically, but my oldest pictured has had to work so hard at getting better and improving, sometimes questioning if he even wanted to keep playing baseball. This weekend he looked like the best player on the field multiple times and has never had more fun playing the game. The season is now over but after the championship he wanted to know when he could play again. Sorry to ramble, just proud of the kid for all of the hard work he's put in as its been a slower process for him than his brother. But he's earned it.

But their jerseys aren't as nice as the youngest's team. Sorry about that PTi.
