-Great weekend.
-Took the best team in the league to the wire on Friday and should've won. Sunday run ruled an undefeated team so 3rd inning got to play the youngins in the infield(salt in the wound
). 40proof went ham on the mound, which was an absolute blast to watch. He's already a problem, next year is going to be a beast when he really figures the game out. Nice that our first win was against some neighborhood friends. Got the lineup where we want it now, bout to reel off several in a row.
-Hit the creek up Saturday with a good buddy and absolutely smoked em. Several nice 12-18" rainbows. Perfect weather. Not too crowded, but busted a big one in front of group of camp grounders, so that was a nice little treat. Also, stalked and finally got one on the surface(elk hair caddis) which is a first down there. Mostly Euro though, which is crazy effective.
-Grilled out last night. 1st time in... nearly a year since I have fired up the BGE.
-Since we were a man down the last year, while #2 was in the oven, our wine stock pile has gotten out of hand. We're committed to resolving that issue though.
-Derby just crept right up. Going to do my annual swing into a men's store and kindly ask them to rush a coat that I know SAE will hate.
-Looks like mid 70's next week. Just in time.
-Cycling season is well under way. The young stars are showing out. Old guard is firmly on the clock. Hoping Sagan moves over to Quick Step to finish out his career, which sounds really odd, as he was just a young badass.
-So Louisville just had mini Thunders all over the city.
They're running the marathon over 4 days, mostly in Indiana, and 50 people per 15 minutes?
But just a few days later 70k people will crowd into CHD. Safe to say the Derby City hasn't handled the last 13 months well. I did hear BTown Rd was hopping this weekend. Good for them. Join the rest of the normal world.

-Tailgate area got a big upgrade over the missed season. Should be ready to go this fall. Lots of outdoor area to hang out now.
-Let's see it, Cal. Give us a reason to get giddy and evan a little cocky going into next season. I can't take another year of, "we're going to lose some games early but we'll have it figured out by March." I want to bust Duke out of the gate and not look back.
