Hell no to blades. Have Callaway graphite irons but don't really care for them, tbh, because they are more bulky.

I'd say 120ish. If I get a hold of it, 150.

Since I'm not a regular, forgiveness > workability.

Never tried to figure out a handicap and truly only measure myself with other golfers by height. If I can find the little scorecard pencil, I'd be happy to break 100....

...and having typed that all I'll take your advice and hit up GHG and look into a few lessons.

I'm a similar golfer Id say. I can shoot a 95 or a 105 practically any day. I just don't get enough time to play as much golf as Id like, but like you, I'm thinking more about forgiveness than feel. I've talked with a few golf pro dudes I've met over the years and they both mentioned the Cleveland HB Launcher Turbos for ****** golfers like me.

One of the only clubs I hit consistently well is my hybrid, but those Cleveland HBs I mentioned all look like Hybrids, which is super weird looking, but if it shaves some strokes off it will be worth it. While you're searching, you may take a look at them. I'm headed the golf place on Richmond Road later today to see how they feel and if I buy will get fitted.

Yeah Bonzo I would listen to Chase. Anybody that suggest blades for a guy that shoots a smooth 120, definitely has the pulse of your needs.
Neither of those are blades, bub. Both are game improvement irons that don’t look and feel like complete trash, plus he requested Titleist or Mizuno.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Thayer for sports betting? I though rather than fully open he wants it controlled by horse tracks? Just to make sure your anger is directed at the right person.
Very true.

Of course it would have passed under Bevin if Thayer hadn't insisted on horse tracks getting all the money.

So basically he’s pro gambling so long as the people he hand picks are the only ones who get rich off it?

K.
Yeah, that would be completely out of the ordinary. Lol. Especially with casinos.

I don't care who controls it. A sports book at Red Mile, Keeneland, CHD would be dope and they're already setup for it. Better for the money to go to CDI than Nevada.

Not a big fan of this new era of recruiting. It's hard to get excited about college basketball players I haven't heard of, even if they averaged 14 a game for Nicholls State or wherever. I miss the old days, hootin and hollerin to mixtapes of our future guys dunking on 5'9" late bloomers.

Pitched 2 innings Saturday, closing out a 21-4 loss to a bunch of guys 10-15 years younger. Still got a little gas left in the tank, but 700 days rest may have been too long. Right triceps is still knotted up. I'm definitely starting to feel like an old. May have to go the knuckleball route.

A friend (who's VP of compliance for Penn National Gaming/Barstool Sports) gave me this book a while back:

(Bad Bet on the Bayou)

It's about the introduction of legal gambling in Louisiana back in the 80s/90s. Basically......

- it was super hard and restrictive to get a license
- there were a very limited number of licenses
- massive corruption awarded the licenses to the well connected folks who paid politicians the most $$$$
- everyone went to prison

I can only assume the same will happen in Kentucky, and gambling will only expand when it's financially worth it to the powers that be. They've got one to shot get this thing right (from their standpoint), and to hand pick the people who will get absolutely filthy rich, including themselves. There's no way they're gonna blow it.

- (Ir)regardless of how you feel about the government's response to the pandemic itself, there is no denying that the messaging from Fauci/CDC has been inconsistent at best, and reckless at worst. Six out of six million and you shut J/J down? Still shouldn't travel or dine indoors even after fully vaccinated? Masks and distancing work, but schools should stay closed? I mean, good grief. Say the shots work. Say that getting the shots gets us back closer to normalcy. Then shut up and let it happen.

- Nantz is cheesier than Doc Boat, but it never fails to impress me how smoothly he handles the Masters only days after navigating the NCAA-T. I missed Verne's call on 16, and after reading comments, I'm glad I did.

- I'd trade Justus for Coach Rob from "Last Chance U", straight up. Love that guy. And having wrapped it up yesterday, I'm still in awe of just how good those docs are. The storylines, the soundtrack, the camera work, they're just about sports documentary perfection. "Hoop Dreams" is still the standard-bearer in terms of sports documentary films, but "LCU" is the new standard-bearer in terms of series. And they both have the most important trait in common...making viewers care about people they didn't know a thing about beforehand.

I’m just glad that I live in a state that only has Christ-approved* gambling like horse racing, historical horse racing, the lottery, and bingo.

*and coincidentally horse racing industry-approved
Easy to differentiate those activities from the death and destruction caused by dice/card games.

-Interestingly pretzel’s friend Jackie who lifts more than me popped up in my google newsfeed this morning. Inspired me so I deadlifted 400# without much problem. Never even tried 400 anything because I don’t go super heavy often anymore. Good feeling though, thanks for the inspiration Jackie/pretzel.

-Finally taking my taxes in today. Former business partner refuses to give me any info so there’s that to deal with, I guess litigation is the only way to go at this point which is unfortunate.

-Love to start the gambling boat up again down here as a business venture. They used to have one that once you were out in international waters you could gamble your little heart out and it was great. Too bad the owner had a serious cocaine/frozen booger problem. Surprise surprise.

Christian.
Baptist.
Pastor.

Fine with sports gambling being offered in Kentucky. Pretty hypocritical to offer gambling on races, but not on sporting events.

Just making sure y'all aren't lumping ALL of us into the same boat.
I honestly don’t think religion has much to do with any of this - it all boils down to who stands to make (or lose) money. As usual.

* Keeneland Thursday.

* Just ordered a spinning bike to add to my home gym.

* My landscapers are here beautifying my yard. I had them rip out some ****** shrubs and and add some Viburnums that match the ones around my patio. Putting a dwarf weeping cherry in, too.

* Letting the cats outside every now and then has resolved my chipmunk issue. But now I have to keep them from terrorizing the bird feeders.

* Bourbon Raffle is off to an amazing start! Thank you to those of you who have already purchased tickets. Elk Creek just donated a couple of wine tastings we are adding to the prize list.

* Thanks for the message, VernHatton52! I figured you were hacked.

* Thinking about a possible NKY/Cincy GYERO cookout this summer so we can eat, drink and make fun of other people's topography. Plus, I have to see if Pretzel is real.

* Have a good one, GYERO. I know I do.

Good luck with your heavy lifting. I’ll be here for your future Mri’s.
Program right now is silly. 5 sets of 50 for the majority of 7 lifts, push/pull/legs/x2/week. So super light weights. Looking for some muscle confusion and switch up for fun.

I really don’t go heavy much like I said, I was inspired. Btw, do you accept Florida Blue for future services?

No cicadas yet but the termites right after sunset are terrible, makes bike rides a little ewww.

-I just assume there's basically 0% chance we get weed anytime soon. We already have 2 border states open and probably a couple more soon enough. Indiana opened casinos like 30 years ago and we're still pondering the issue even though we have the lottery and horse racing. It's maddening.

-What's weird, and tells you how awful I am, I follow national politics more than local. The areas I could actually influence and make changes barely even hit my radar. Probably true for a lot of pretend politicos.

-**** morning so bailed out and bought some flies. Felt better. Came back to more ****. Yippie.

-L is really starting to get a little personality and pick up on things. This has flown by.

-KL's first take is spot on. It's really breathtaking how bad certain politicians have botched this. We still have kids not in full time school and parents taking leave from work to handle this stuff. Businesses partially shut down. All decisions made by 1 person in each state. Meanwhile, we're going to have 70k people at Derby in 3 weeks.

-Have we discussed where the name King Llama came from?

-Please dear lord baby Jesus don't let our solution at PG next season be a reclass freshman. (fuuck you PTI)

-Good for you willy, now take my name out of the Elk Creek raffle and leave only on the real ****, thanks.

-I exclusively lift the weight that I can do 15-20 reps for 3 or 4 sets. Bodyweight, dumbbells, ropes, some kettle, bands, cables, very little barbell other than curl.

Boat, do you accept punch cards for one free MRI like Jamba Juice for free smoothies? Asking for myself. And many of my friends.

I have lifetime goals of squatting and pulling 500 so I will probably be in an MRI line at some point. Joints, who needs em.
