Baylor basically took a bunch of SEC discards and turned them into a NCAA Champions.

I've never been a big fan of Scott Drew, but damnit I can't help but be impressed with the job he did with this team.

Nantz really missed the moment there with the potential "From Bliss, to bliss!" championship call.

It's moving to see a program come back from multiple horrifying scandals largely unrepentant, to find redemption by winning. Ultimately, that's what it's all about, isn't it?

(Few's a choke artist.)

I don't really mean that, but hate hate hate hate hate. F*ck both these teams and every other program in D-1. Who's our point guard?

It's always a major bummer knowing CBB just ended. But won't miss:

  1. Ohhhhh, french vanilla, rocky road, chocolate, peanut butter, cookie dough!
  2. Vanilla and cherry? At the same tme?
  3. Mark Few's ugly face

Was nice watching a game that didn’t have god knows how many substitutions that ended up with stupid *** lineups on the court. Zags played 7, Baylor played 8. Best guys played and played together through mistakes. Other than roster construction, Cal’s substitution patterns bother me the most. Just substitutes on emotion with no thought of impact on lineup.
Goooooooooooo!

It was an absolute joke that people were calling Zaga one of the best teams of all time. They rolled through a super soft league, had an absolute cakewalk to the FF and then needed OT with a miracle shot to beat an 11 seeded Mick Cronin squad. Then they make the title game against a physical, athletic and aggressive Baylor team that absolutely manhandled them.

I could name 50-75 teams in my lifetime that are better than this Zaga team. They're on the same level as the '79 ISU Sycamores, a mid major that had a great season before getting smoked in the championship by a much better team.

This was a mediocre season that allowed two teams to separate themselves from the bunch. And one was much better than the other. That's all that happened here.

Their big pre-WCC wins were also exposed as only somewhat impressive. I mean Iowa and Virginia were fine but it’s not like they presented an athletic challenge.

Zags benefited from a decent early schedule, awful league and tournament cakewalk.

They were a pretty good team but nothing we don’t see annually.

-All in all the other teams did their work. The main rivals basically all sucked ***. Zags lost again but they'll get theirs. Keep knocking on the door. Save me the lecture on a super team.

-Props to Baylor, he's had them relevant for a decade. Bring everybody back from last year and have a stellar season. Imagine that ****. Their fans have endured a lot. Worthy winner.

-Man, I wish is was 21 degrees and freezing rain with the sun setting at 4:45p. 75 and blue skies with 8p sunset will just have to do in the meantime. Losers.

-Keeneland coming up and Derby in 3 weeks? This really has the opportunity to put a stake in the last year. I know they're killing grandmas but that Rangers stadium last night looked AMAZING. Let's go. Need to do some homework, though. Took a long break after getting hammered on Oaks/Derby/Breeders.

-Go get us a point guard with the ability to get a rag tag group to the Final Four, John.

I’m absolutely devastated. Reminds me how how I felt in ‘15.

There have been a lot of super dope 3 guard combos over the years- Baylor’s bunch is right there with any of them...and the perfect rugged bunch around them. Dominating performance, and pretty much unprecedented turnaround of a program.
