Right after ShowKiller gave him some props too. The nerve.
LOL about that logjam in the backcourt? Powell to UT looks even more disastrous now.
Grief.
Cal better pull one out of his hat. Embarrassing.

Unf*ckingreal. We're going to lose (Sarr, Boston, Clarke, Fletcher, Askew, and maybe Brooks or Mintz) 5 to 7 off a 9 win team. I don't really care who he brings in, this doesn't work. We're Lance Ware from losing out entire recruiting class from last season.
There is someone better coming that's in the works, so im not the least bit concerned. Hope its Zegarowski.
So Askew pinged UL and IU to discuss transferring before entering the portal.
I mean, that's just patently stupid.

I'm gonna say something I probably don't really mean, but I would trade Cal for Hubert Davis right now. Or Mike Woodson. F him.
Let's put this in perspective. Freshman Devin Askew averaged as many minutes per game this year as junior year Tony Delk and he is adios transfer. **** him and this system.

Is it possible to be fatigued with the constant roster turnover and at the same time not be distraught over the Askew announcement? If so, put me in that camp.
Was wondering when he'd get a clue. Good luck, he'll be a good player someday.
F him then. What a joke.
Cuse makes a living off bigger/slow lead guards, I’m sure he’ll be a nice upperclassman there, just as he would have been here.
You dumbasses acting happy or indifferent are the same ones crying every year when we are 2 veteran guards short while counting on freshman to carry the load.

the worst part is my “what do you think Jerry Stackhouse is thinking right now?” take is gonna get lost in all of these Askew takes
Askew can GGP
Worst PG in UK history, mainly for going out like that on this season.

The perception of Askew transferring is way worse than Askew actually transferring.
Mintz and a high profile PG coming in better be announced soon.

Askew was basically Michael Porter without the football offer from USC and the pedophilia.
Looking at this objectively... If both UNC and IU swung for the big boys in their search and ended up with Woodson and Davis (HAHAHA), what would realistically happen if UK job were to open up? Would we have to get our 6-7th choice too? I mean IU is one thing but UNC? Thought they could just take whoever they wanted other than K, Self, Cal.
We're not self-righteous douche bags so we would hire someone outside of our "family"
I thought GYERO overall had watched most of the NCAA Tournament? If you did, you may have noticed it was FILLED with players, and especially guards, who had mariginal or even poor Freshman & Soph seasons playing huge roles.
Unbeknownst to modern UK fans, most college players who aren't surefire NBA prospects actually improve greatly over a career and become reliable & important pieces for good teams as upperclassmen.
This better GD mean Cal has another PG (Zegarowski please) in his pocket, but it pisses me off either way.

Watch Askew lead the San Francisco Dons back into prominence in 2023.
what was life like before the war grandpa lmao
Not a shock that we would lose nearly everyone from a class that will go down in the UK history books after an unprecedented season.
The University of North Carolina actually interviewed and hired Hubert Davis to be their head coach. Therefore, I do not give a care where Devin Askew and his hair transfer, thin roster be damned. HUBIE DAVIS. HAHAHAHAHA
Once again, Cal is in a position where we don't have time to be patient with Askew. This entire thread would murder him if we are ****** at the point once again next season.
Therefore, I assume they're getting another point who is widely considered to be the likely starter at the position and Askew decided he wanted no part of riding the bench next season.

It’s been apparent for years that other than Kentucky born players, this place is perceived as a necessary evil. A trade school, not a university. Just hold your nose for a year, and if you can get drafted go. If you can play overseas, GO. If you need another year, GO (somewhere else)
UK is a place that is to be ENDURED, for as little time as possible.

Tony Delk's freshman year at Kentucky:
4.5 points/game
0.7 assists/game
1.9 rebounds/game
35.3% 3pt%
9.6 minutes/game
He sucked ***, but I'm glad that guy didn't transfer.

I mean, kids would rather lose potentially MILLIONS of dollars, than spend a second year here.
Now, who is at fault for THAT?

Askew was terrible and he can GGP, but he was bound to improve and this is just a continuation of the roster turnover problem. Yes, he sucked *** this year, but he certainly would've improved and been serviceable next year, maybe even good. Cal better have a stud transfer lined up.
K, Devin Askew is not, nor will be, Tony Delk in 2 years. Christ.
No, actually he couldn't. Because he F'n sucks.
********, you all are making this much more complicated than it really is. Some kids just can't play here. He's one of them.
And contrary to BBdK's opinion, not every upperclassman guard led their team on a deep run this March. Because some of them F'n suck, too.
