Monday Randoms...

- Kid did pretty good on the flight to CT....the in-flight TV and the constant barrage of cookies from the flight attendants did the trick. We'll see how the return trip goes on Wed.
- When I chat with people where we live in FL, covid ranks about 18th on the list of topics. When I chat with people in the NE, covid ranks 1st, 2nd, and 3rd on list of topics. Unbelievable the difference...it's full consuming up here.
- Am rooting for Baylor tonight. Have no prob with Zags winning but do not want an undefeated season.
- So we're really gonna run it back next season with the same coaching staff?
- Reds tied for first in division!
- Pretty cool to see the kid be able to participate with older cousins in the Easter egg hunt the past few days. She picked it up pretty quick and most cousins even helped her out, pointing out the easy eggs for her to grab. Did have one cousin snatch an egg right from under her. Not surprised given who the parent is.
- Low of 24 here on Friday. Might as well have been -24 when used to living in the 80's.
- Not really bummed about Powell...IF we let Allen get some run next year. Think Powell is one and done anyhow at UT.
- Having a mother in law who just takes the kid for 4-5 days is a life saver. Wife and I actually got to sit down and enjoy time with rest of family yesterday.
- Can you imagine the media backlash Cal would get if he got the contract Self got during an open NCAA investigation?
- Baylor 83, Zags 81

- Not sure how Juzang doesn’t bounce after that run. He’s a wing who can score. Those guys are hard to find. Bet he’s Top 20 now.

- Something tells me the Zags are emboldened by the close call and cover. Would love to see Baylor beat them, though. Much in the same way I love UCLA, I’ve always had a soft spot for Baptists and their institutions.

- Cal has something up his sleeve- maybe a couple things.

- Is it odd that most expect a freshman PG who started every game to be an 11th man next year?

- Never been an Easter guy but I do enjoy Holy Week.

- I’d say an estimated 60-70% of my people have received at least the first shot.

-There have been plenty of awesome title matchups, but I don't recall any, at least recently, where it's THE 2 teams, both of whom are completely separate from the rest of the country like Gonzaga & Baylor. Lot of that has to do with the fact NCAAB has typically been much deeper at the top, but that's clearly just not the case this year -- it's those two, and it always has been.
Yup, the closest I can think of is '08 when Memphis and Kansas manhandled the other two 1 seeds in the semifinals. That produced an OT title game. But like you said, it was deeper at the top.

If UNC is “gonna stay in the family”, how is Wes Miller not the choice? Secretly hoping for Hubert Davis though who I remember being the bumbling goofball on gameday, no?

Despite everyone seeming to hate the guy, I'm an Askew fan. I think he was put in a position he couldn't win this year, but expect him to be the most improved player on next years team.

Perfect weather right now. I feel like things in that department started improving in March as the days got longer, almost like magic.

I dont really care who wins tonight, I just hope its an entertaining game.

Just did a bunch of crunches and back extensions. Gonna be sore tomorrow. Been sticking with my plan pretty well.

The new sea salt and truffle chips from Kettle Brand are dashit. Gonna side car those with a tuna sammy and a half gallon of H²O today for lunch.

Hopefully the ncaa grows some balls and hammers ku so they have to pay stupid money to a guy who isn't allowed to coach their team.

Reds off to a fun start. Hopefully they keep the hot bats going.

Haven't watched the Q series, but my personal impression is it has been the most successful and dangerous troll job in the history of the internet.
I can't help but feel a government organization is involved. Possibly CIA, more than likely the sneaky Russians or Chinese though. It's classic propaganda manipulation, similar to what intelligence agencies have admitted to using for years.

For those who carry a smaller wallet. Any good recs?
Mine is beginning to look like Costanza’s.

Cuoieria Fiorentina briefcase wallet. Best designed minimalist front pocket wallet I've seen.

Or, if you want something a bit more substantial and don't mind paying for the quality (you're in GYERO, of course you don't mind paying), check out Colored Red wallets. I bought one from them on their Kickstarter project 4 years ago and still carry it daily. The quality is top-notch.

Q almost has to be a psyop, and it's horrifying how effective it was for so many people. It combines a LOT of blood libel style fear-mongering too, which worked pretty well for the Nazis, every anti-Semitic movement in history, etc. Whoever was actually behind it picked the perfect time to play on people's fears escalating in the Trump era and into the pandemic.

The most normal, level headed, rational, socially capable person in the entire Q series was a 2 foot tall, wheelchair bound, cerebral palsy inflicted midget and former proud incel who lost his virginity in a drug fueled rager to a Filipino prostitute and later had to flee his home country to evade an impending 6+ year prison sentence.

So there's that.

“-Real estate down there is insanity. Apparently just getting flooded by NE-ers getting the hell out of dodge and willing to pay whateves.”

It’s madness. KW is going to end up losing its entire workforce if it keeps up. I was looking to buy down here and it’s just not worth it right now. EVERYTHING is for sale and overpriced and people are paying more on top of that.

Anyone want to buy a 1/1 for $600K? Yeah me neither. There’s nothing under a half million. It’s literally like the entire northeast is trying to flee where they’re from.

Downtown hotels are going for around $1000/night was $1500/night a week or two ago. Haven’t seen anything like it.

-Real nice week down in low country. Mostly family time but visited with SC friends down there. The Anths came over one afternoon and we hung for a bit while the kids played. That was really nice. Not sure if sloot and the lass had ever even met before, but they didn't seem stressed or angry. Good stuff.

That house was/is sick, but was friends and not ours. La casa de playa SAECATFANINLAWS is on IOP and is significantly more modest.

-Surprised wcc has never bitched about the Monday night slot for the championship given his disdain for Super Bowl Sunday. Thursday/Saturday Final Four would be ideal IMO.

-Can't wait to settle in to some incredible Masters coverage all week, but especially Thursday and Friday.

-Re: those covid bangs, part of marriage is learning all of the things women notice and invariably hate about other women. Kind of fun.

She is easily my favorite "BLOCKED" on twitter. I miss giving her ****, though.

-New Maker's Keeneland bottles are pretty sweet. Picked one up for the bar.

-Askew seems like a great kid, I just don't think he'll ever be a major contributor here. Pulling for him, obviously.

-I think the years of posting here has made me much more effective with business emails. There can't be a tougher audience for trying to write effectively and succinctly. I'm working on calling prospects more than I rely on email, but damn if I don't have success with it.

-Next holiday is Memorial Day. #blessed

-Anyone have experience with Moscot sunglasses? Got a pair I may pull the trigger on.

-Like to see MY Justin Thomas get his jacket. St. X needs a Masters champion.

Here's a question:

What would happen if Gonzaga AND Baylor both have a positive COVID test on their team today?

They would just reschedule. Remember the first round game VCU / Oregon was not played, Oregon advanced. Once the teams all safely made it to Indy, the field was locked and no teams would be replaced. With only two teams remaining, they would make the game happen.

-strictly card holder for a wallet. Big bulky wallets are the worst.

-They're not moscots but the Goodr brand is about as good of a cheap polarized sunglass as I've found.

-This weather, man. Good gracious. We deserve it. Trying to dry out after vacation is going to be tough when it is that damn nice out there.
