A 90’s country babe tournament bracket could be good. Not sure if you could get 64 but 16 is doable.

Top Seeds:
Shania Twain
Faith Hill
Martina McBride
Deana Carter- feel like this final 1 seed is a tough call. I don’t love this pick

2 seed Mindy McReady. Hotter because she is batshit crazy.

I'm not knocking Jackson's dad, but he did sort of say, "yeah, son, when you make it big, I'm quitting my job and I'll be on your payroll. This year, next year, doesn't matter."

If Wayne’s kid became a multi-millionaire athlete would continue to work his 9 to 5, only go to games when he has sufficient PTO, and retire at a respectable age of 70.

BRax is going to be the most obnoxious freeloader any of us has ever seen.

Good. I hope Pat Patterson's dad, Shaq's dad, etc all never worked a single day after their son got that first check. Put Mom and Pop on the payroll for a hundo each a year for advisory purposes, pay off their mortgage, and then start working on that second contract, imo.

I'd make my dad do my media work just to hear him occasionally dog cuss some idiot reporter. I'd probably have to have a locked and loaded apology in the can in case he called someone a spook or ***** but it would be worth it just for the hilarity of it all.

Seems pretty fun actually.

I’m retired from thinking a freshman can lead a team, but Hickman is an actual PG, something we didn’t have this year, and still don’t (aside from him) next year.

Kid can play, and will absolutely contribute next year.

Great feel, and is truly a point guard - so that is at least something. Battling foul trouble all game tho..

Anyone who watched us this year knows that EVERY team we played, no matter how ******, had a *least* 1 creating point guard who could have helped us.

Tanya Tucker is the undisputed GOAT. I mean, good Lord. :fire:

Of these choices, Shania and Faith are in a dead heat. I'll take Faith Hill since she doesn't seem to be a pain in the *** but I could be persuaded.

I’m no countryball, but I’d like to drive my train into Alison Krause and Her Union Station.

I don’t get how these great coaches don’t have coaching trees a mile long? Just remember the days of Pitino producing like 8-10 coaches during his time here.

But then guys like Roy, K, Few and Cal have nothing to speak of honestly, or so it seems.

Who are the Pitino 8-10 from 90-97? I’m just curious. The obvious are Tubby, Billy and Ralph. Who am I forgetting?

Speaking of retirement.

The Clown is retiring, effective Friday, July 30th

33 years in IT is enough.

Mulling over part time jobs, and I've about decided on driving a school bus, here in Scott Co.

Leaves me free during the day (and the Summer), to play golf. The bus garage is literally 3 minutes from my house, and they're so desperate for drivers, they're paying 30 dollars an hour.

Plus, the thought of the Clown, driving a school bus, and the associated hilarity might be too good to pass up.

I'll have to give up drugs, but that'll just make me MORE surly with the kids.

Shew man, didn't mean to ruffle so many feathers.. But I would point out that part of what makes the guy overrated is just how highly rated he is. People act like he is country music royalty and I just don't see him anywhere near that level when compared with all the greats over time. The dude is obviously talented and yea he might have more than *two* good songs, but we should also admit he has quite a few cheesy, lame *** songs as well and we have to judge all of it together IMO.

Might not be the same but Bernadette Marie too. It seems like more but I guess some others don’t count as Ford, Pelphrey, McCarty(before his trouble), Pope etc all just played here under him.

Then tack on Reggie Theus, Williard and Cronin at UL and not a single other big name coach even compares!

Who ya'll got in the 90's country bracket? I ended up with a Final 4 of "I like it, I love it", "Straight Tequila Night" (weak bracket), "Chatahoochee", and "Watermelon Crawl" with Chatahoochee beating Like it, Love it.

98.5 in Lexington has all of these songs on regular rotation.

Fast As You
Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (R.I.P. Joe)
Neon Moon
Meet in the Middle

😂😂😂 His energy and excitement is off the charts as his visualizes all this stuff he’s rambling about.

I miss that.
Indeed. Plus doing it from the treadmill shows some humor about all the CAL IS FAT stuff. I love it and I love getting older players in here rather NBA Make A Wish kids like Clarke and Boston.

Maybe the Fat Wop is re-inventing himself. I hope he coaches here until he is 70 if he keeps up with the times and starts innovating again. Now is not the time to be doing a coaching search.

* 🤣at The Clown driving a school bus. Please keep GYERO updated.

A buddy of mine is retired and his wife still works. He and one of his retired friends got a gig as crossing guards. They *love* it. He said it is just enough time getting him out of the house and socializing and he makes beer money to boot. He is one of the nicest people I've ever met though so he doesn't have any stories like I am hoping The Clown does.

* Does Brooks return? If Calipari uses him entirely as a power forward alongside Big Oscar (there is no way I'm learning to spell his last name), we are a point guard away from a quality squad -- especially if Mintz comes back.

Hope is a dangerous thing, I guess.
