Last years attention to the yard is paying off this year. Looks like a golf course and I didn't have to pay anyone to do any of it.
Fun fact: send docboat a picture of a fish you caught and he will respond with one he caught 20 years ago that is bigger. If he doesn't have a pic like that, he'll just send you random pics of big fish.

And as far as Kid90, yeah I found that more interesting than Oregon St/Houston. Baylor looks tough. Agree if we get Gonzaga and Michigan in the Final Four, should be enjoyable.

A few years back I went to a Bengals/Tampa Bay game at PBS. It was later in the season and the crowd was, as you’d guess, sparse and dead. People there out of “well I already paid for the tickets” obligation. The Bengals, as usual, were bad and, as usual, punted a lot. Tampa Bay had some guy with the last name Carl back to receive punts. Every. Single. Time. the PA guy would announce “back to receive, Whateverhisname Carl” a lone fan in our section of the end zone would stand and break the silence with a loud and drawn out “Hoooootttt Carrrrrllllll”. It broke the tension and added something special to an otherwise eminently forgettable football game.

- I don't necessarily care for the Saturday through Tuesday E8/F4 in terms of days of the week, but having each of the Elite 8 games with its own TV window was great. I don't mind having the first two rounds played with 4 simultaneous games going on, because that adds to the frenzy and allows you to switch off blowouts. And yeah, there were some blowouts among the E8 games, but at least you get a closer look at the teams that will be advancing.
- Even though I wouldn't trade having every tournament game played in its entirety on one of the four channels for the way it used to be, there WAS something about having Greg Gumbel cut into the game you were watching because there was a "developing situation out in the West Region", etc. Again, the new way is better, but every time CBS switched from your game to a closer one, it was a nice little jolt.
- I don't know, maybe Mike Woodson works out. But the best part is that if you had asked any Hoosier fan, even Knight pumpers, to provide their top 5 on the day Archie was fired, he wouldn't have been on ANY of their lists. Not one. And someone gave up 10 million to get him. It's not that it's a surefire disaster (I think it'll end up just being mediocre), it's that it's a colossal disappointment, no matter how it's spun.
- Walker Kessler is a great add any other year. But we're good on bigs, thanks, especially if KB comes back.
- Two more guards. And as much as we need scoring/shooting, we also need someone out on the perimeter who won't get repeatedly scored on by simple drives. So even though he isn't a proven scorer on the college level, I don't mind the possible addition of the Bates kid out of HS if he's the defender he's reputed to be. Gotta have that, too.

Yeah - it was totally awesome when I was watching UK beat the doors off somebody back in 96 in the first or second round and then Greg pops in and say, "hey, let's switch it to some other broke dick game we know you don't care about".
