-I'm good with a vodka tonic or even a chilled vodka shot. VT was my bar drink in my 20s. Nothing for gin and no plan ever change that. Rum is an area I need to explore.

-Hey, Brooks.... go f*ck yourself.

-Rich, I know you're all knowing and married to a doc but I would suggest keeping the plans the day after poke 2 to a minimum. I didn't feel bad, but I was irritable AF, and really tired. I could've hit bed by 6p. Maybe it won't do that to you.

Friday Shorts:

-Not really a stretch to say Gonzaga is the best program/culture in CBB right *now*, and not just based on this season, either.

-Upgraded from an appropriate little 30" TV hanging in the corner at the office to a fairly obnoxious 55" smart rig. Extremely pleased with the decision.

-75 & Golf tomorrow late morning, followed by the Tourney all night. Perfecto

-Favorite thing to do liquor wise for the summer is marinate a bottle of Gin or Tequila, with some chilis. Flat WORSHIP any kind of spicy cocktail.

-If you're like me, and put off "Don't F with Cats" b/c you didn't think you could handle the subject matter, give it a go. (I finally did at the urging of a friend) Producers were skilled in not letting that be much of an issue at all, -- it's mostly just a wild AF manhunt story.

-If you wanna feel really good about things, just Blast this '95 CLASSIC in the whip on the way home -- it's Westcoast Siren Season.

53, I am usually up until 11:30-12. Up at 6:30. (I do not get home until 7:30ish most evenings)

NOT a bourbon drinker. During the weekdays every evening I will have 4-5 Miller Lite in the bottle. Like clockwork as soon as I walk into the garage when I get home, I reach in the fridge and grab one. Saturday and Sunday a few more than normal, especially if I am out on the deck grilling.

A couple times per month I will drink vodka on a Saturday night. Goose with pineapple juice over crushed ice.

Is Makers rolling out a special commemorative bottle for the hardwood Cats accomplishments this past season ? Rather than have the blue wax melted down the neck of it they could actually use dried **** with Cal's face on the label.

Stayed up super late last night (2:30 AM ish) because I started a new series on Netflix "Who Killed Sarah". Pretty damn good, about 4 episodes in. It is the ever popular Mexican based series, but they do a very good job with those, more so than the Swedish or Norway produced ones.

I truly think we will see a totally different team structure and playing style next year, Cal knows he has to get **** right, and with a quickness. Not counting him out, when dialed in the man is ruthless.

Convinced Saban's comments after completely dismantling us last fall woke Stoops up more than anything. Credit to him. Already paying massive dividends.

"The last time I checked, you get nothing for time of possession,” Saban said Alabama’s 63-3 massacre of the Wildcats. “If you score fast on offense, you don’t have very much time of possession."

Saban has a great quote where he said something like “the game has changed and I used to think you can win with defense but that isn’t the case anymore so now we just try to score a lot.”

Or something like that.

For one of the hardest driving, hardheaded, workaholic coaches to completely admit his faults, then CHANGE THEM, that just doesn’t happen.

I don't mind a gin and tonic on occasion. I tend to like the middle of the row gins better than the super-floral fancy ones.

Guess I'll have a good out to avoid one high profile case with my upcoming jury duty.

Bourbon is still my go go, and I like the good stuff. I just don't understand people with stupid nice collections of unopened bottles. I buy the stuff to drink, not to brag about.

They’ll protect the fat one at all costs. Coming off the worst season ever, players leaving left and right, can’t recruit for ****, has no assistants, very real questions that need to be answered concerning where this program is heading....and two media clowns are out there throwing shade at BJW just like John wants.

GFYS...Yep. BJW is ruining our recruiting. Good. Hope he ruins it so bad Cal is forced to go to Texas.

Another shocker coming...Texas in talks with Cal. Mitch forced to pay him more money.

I mean, Shaka was Dead Man walking heading into this season...which was a helluva bounce back, but ultimately resulted in an embarrassing flameout. ZERO WINS IN THE TOURNAMENT during his 6 years is pathetic.

People forget Will Wade played a big part in making Shaka Smart.

I feel like Joel Justus probably binge watches Entourage, has a terrible custom shoe collection, owns distressed jeans, and uses "brah" a lot when he is playing video games online.

If Cal wants to go to Texas ... well bye.

And if that ruins our relationship with all the great players of the last decade ... fine.

And if we just have awkward relationships with all our players over the overall awesome last 30 years ... whatever.

And if we have to roll the dice on Mitch making a great hire when an obvious one isn’t out there ... so be it.

If the gin is too "fancy" at some point it loses that punch.

That's why I use Beefeaters, straight from the freezer to mix martinis. Bombay Sapphire for example, is too soft for a good martini, once you suitably dilute it by stirring in a pitcher.

Wodie, IIRC, is a Seagram's man.
