That was cute and all, but way too much in the pain. Should just be pink outside the lane and inside the 3 PT line.

Lon Kruger retiring will shake some things up. That's a pretty solid gig, especially with Shaka not tearing it up at Texas and KU on shaky ground.

Wonder if Texas will pull the trigger on firing Shaka now to get out in front of the coaching carousel.

Texas flat out choked this year against Abilene, but Shaka has had a ton of adversity in his time at Texas and they were a legit Top 10 team this year.

Like Oats and the rest of these coaches with several upperclassmen for leaders I want to see them next year, but to think Texas may fire Shaka after THIS season, seems off.

My 1994 Coach of the Year went to Krueger. The preseason rankings said the Gators would place 5th or 6th in the South Eastern Conference alone. Coach Kruger certainly proved himself.

Shaun King was a year behind me too.

The UK bomber grew up about 4 houses from me in the country. We did sleepovers as kids, went camping and fishing as we grew up. After high school I went to college and he started selling drugs.

Baker isn't, and never was, as exciting of a talent as Juzang...and a 2nd transfer may say a lot about him, or it may just say he sees the writing on the wall with Miller and that cesspool program. He just seems like a typical gets- progressively-better 4 year college guard.

That said, his season would have put him, at UK:

1st in scoring
1st in FT%
3rd in 3pt%
3rd in Assists

*despite injuries

...and his games of 29 & 33 eclipse any performance we had all season.

(except he wouldn't have played, of course)

He'll probably end up at Gonzaga as a role player to go along with Sallis, Chet, Kessler, and a top returning surrounding cast.

Btw, I was pimping Xavier Pinson earlier this season in here -- he had a very weird end of season drop off, and only played 18 minutes in the last game...something was clearly going on there.

...but early-mid, he was one of the best guards in the SEC. Stud, imo - would love that pickup.

We get 2 of Mintz, Powell, Carr, Grady, Pinson, Fredrick...or any other similar player + Brooks and I'm feeling pretty damn good.

Would be a team that actually DEPENDED on zero freshman, but with several who could/should contribute as a bonus.
