This is the type of high quality in depth basketball analysis that makes GYERO the best thread on the internet.
Travis Ford and John Pelphrey have far better resumes than any of those guys and wouldn’t even be considered here.

Gabby absolutely crushed this course. This ***** took the long way around like half of the obstacles- just toying with everyone else and still won easy. That weave at the end was pure.

With 5 minutes left and up by 2 in a big game, I'd pick any of these guys names out of a hat over Cal to coach my team to hold on to a victory.
I never really minded IU even through the Knight years when they were a real rival to UK.
Then, I dated a girl for 2 years who attended IU and I would go up there almost every weekend. All of these damn Northeastern ******* punks who make up a surprisingly solid portion of their student body would make of the state of Kentucky
Years later in 2011 I hear the multiple stories from that last game in Bloomington coupled with their whole self righteous clean image and I decided moving forward would LOATHE that fanbase more than UL’s.
I say this with all sincerity, I hope that place burns and continues to burn until their current status pales in comparison to how bad it gets. Touch em.

My mom is 1 of 10 and 4 of them are big IU fans living up near Indy. They are easy to hate when around them which I am a few times a year. They did master the Indiana look though: jorts, t-shirt, white socks, and white tennis shoes.
The only school I pull for UofL against is IU. I do not take this position lightly.
With the folks above- have always hated Indiana but used to at least have some respect for them. No longer. Their fanbase is toxic.
I know some UL fans that are good people. I dont know a single IU fan that is a good person. That's the honest truth.

Even Indiana's message board was insufferable. I got banned there because I told them I felt sorry for them. That was under Crean.

I know well over 100 great IU fans, one of them being my girlfriend. They're harmless. Hating them is like hating Canada.
Canada sucks and so does their bacon.
- I half-expect Jim Crews to start showing up on these IU candidate lists.
- Tempted to pull the trigger on some Sweet 16 tickets at Rupp. Same fun week of hoops, but a fraction of the crowd to deal with. Would definitely miss that ice cream, though.
- Rumors that Bill Walton may be brought in for some of the Pac-12's games this weekend. I know he's polarizing on the mic, but I still get a kick out of the guy, especially when he's paired with Pasch.
- I know they get paid handsomely, so I don't feel sorry for them, but still...it has to feel like you're just constantly walking a tightrope if you're a D-1 head basketball coach these days. This transfer portal is bonkers. You're now spending as much time each spring re-recruiting your guys to keep them around as you are scouring the unsigned prospects to round out your roster. And you have to keep an eye on the actual portal to see who might be able to slide in and fill a spot. The tampering must be off the charts, even moreso than usual. This is why I think Arkansas is gonna be a top-15 program for as long as Muss is there. He was way out in front on playing the transfer game.

My grandpa is an IU fan, but he's 82 so hell, have fun gramps. He also learned EARLY (i.e. when he met my father for the first time in the very early 1980s) that Kentucky > IU, in this house and in life, and he ought not challenge that ranking.
In 35 years of living in TN I have ran into one IU fan. A rival fraternity PG that was a douche.

-TBH, if I'm a head coach right now I'm not very worried about HS recruiting. Outside of about 10-15 guys none are going to be major contributors. Fill your gaps on the transfer wire.

-That said, there's a real strong hold of UK fans over there and they're some of the best. The small pocket of UK fans may be the only redeeming thing in the entire state other than a broken yolk sammy from Patachou. The rest sucks and should be sold off to Canada.
-Last night a Dad told his little dude to loosen up a bit at the plate, so from then on he did the Willy Mays Hayes shimmy before swinging. Had all the parents and coaches rolling. No chance it gets better than this for youth sports.
-Experimented with a ton of diets over the years but fasting has to be the easiest. Large coffee in the morning and eat small meal around 11 or 12 then lunch a little later.
