-F* Nate Oates- some act like that *** boi is some legend. He’s overrated in GYERO. Wouldn’t come to UK? Good, don’t want him.

-Turned down 400k for three Kobe Bryant cards last night.

- Flew a customer in from Pittsburgh and bought a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle though. The BBdK rec with the Southwest CC a few years ago was gold for a small business.

- Pitino died to me when he took the UL job. We can win without him too.

I have a hard time believing KyKy would come here even without the bad blood from his recruitment being a factor. He averaged 17 mpg at Xavier. I don't know all of the context, but doubt he would come to UK just to play fewer minutes.

I used to live 2 miles from Poe's so I'm sort of an expert on it. Here's your move:
  1. The Gold-Bug Plus (Pimento Cheese Burger)
  2. Softshell Crab Sandwich (in season)
  3. Fish Tacos (for your wife)
Re: downtown Charleston:
  1. No point of going; I'm basically a local after all
  2. Don't go to Hall's for sure: SAE's brother got taken for like $1,100 there ( the way he tells it, it goes up about $150 per year) in a Thursday night, pre-wedding dinner extravaganza several years ago. I saw the writing on the wall and didn't order an entrée, so I got out of there for less than $600, but he's still pissed and doesn't want anybody frequenting that restaurant.
Mt P:
  1. Red's: take your boat and dock up; the Killer Shrimp is money
  2. Melvin's BBQ (they also have a great burger)
Forget all what I just wrote:
  1. Just buy a bunch of fresh seafood and cook it at your house on Sullivan's or Kiawah - this is the right move

GD, some bad ones in here this afternoon

ONE : Oats is from Wisconsin. Jesus retain information

TWO: Krazy: stick to volume posting and selling over-priced brown. I wish you the best. .

THREE: If any of you, and I mean ANY of you, think IU is going to pay a coach ten mil to go away and turn around and pay another 10 mil on a buyout... Damn. Shew

FOUR: GGP

Still not completely sure Tubby was ever a good basketball coach. You could argue either way with me.
I think he was a really good game coach. He was never a good recruiter. Once he signed that $20 million deal he started losing his fire. He got comfy which is understandable. Once your comfy it's hard to stay on top of a game like college basketball. Kind of where I think Cal is getting.

The last 5:30 of the first half was an amazing experience in person. Just when you thought Rupp couldn't get any louder, the decibels would somehow increase to another level. It just kept building and building, and Florida completely and totally wilted in such a visible fashion. I can't think of anything more raucous than that Bogans breakaway dunk followed up by the alley-oop to Hayes in the closing minute. GD that was fun. 18-year-old me thought that was the coolest sporting event he ever attended. Still do.
We absolutely whooped the star out of them that night. Not sure any #1 team has ever been beaten so thoroughly. That was an awesome year. Bogans trying to guard Wade on a bum ankle was not awesome though.

Speaking of players returning, Toppin is already an intriguing player.

Would not surprise me if he "tested" the waters.

Dude is 6'9"

Tubby is a HOFer. He just really needed to surround himself with assistants and staff that could handle the stuff he was bad at. Having a great run in 2003 with lower ranked recruits ended up costing him in the long run.

Still love the guy. He was an absolute class act here. And has been since he left.

He needs to be in the rafters next year.

That night of the Bogans and Fitch picture was the first of like 7 straight wins against Florida. Adversely I think Donovan has stated that in that time that they set out to build a team that specifically could beat UK and won back to back national championships as a product. So you're welcome I guess.

If "build a team that specifically could beat UK" means signing three future NBA starters and convincing them to stay three years, consider Billy D a visionary. More coaches should roll with that approach.

Because I'm a battered spouse, I am listening to the Calipari show. Eighteen minutes in, COVID has been the culprit for this year.

John dropped off a couple suitcases of ca💰h in Falmouth to get that deal done. I’ll never believe anything different, and quite frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn! Generational wealth comes in many forms.

Cal blaming everything on Covid on his call-in show. If he doesn't take a hard look at himself at any point here, and so far I see no evidence he has, we will be right back in this same spot next year. Cal's system only works with stars and there aren't a lot of stars left on the board. Certainly not a lot of guards.
COVID deserves some blame, but I think this team was doomed no matter what. They sucked - plain and simple.

At this point it is bizarre that he even keeps bringing it up. Every team had to deal with COVID. I don't believe we ever even had one positive test so we've arguably had less issues than a lot of other teams.

If a player or another coach kept bringing up something that every team in the country had to deal with as THE excuse for the worst season in the history of college basketball's greatest program, Calipari would openly mock them. As well he should.

First brilliant coaching move he has made all year.

Wait, Cal bragged at the presser right after our defeat at the hands of a vaunted MSU team led by Howland that the he took pride in not one person catching the bug.

So while we, like every one of the 350 D1 teams across the country had to manage around Covid, it didn't stymie our roster for a single game.

In other words, that dog don't hunt John.
