The only thing worth reading in Bar Association magazines are attorney/judge disciplinary notes. Every now and again you see a name you recognize, read the note, and think, ohhhhh no wonder they were a nightmare, they were stealing their clients blind/high AF every day/drunk all the time/beating their mistress with a bag of dildos, etc.

I would almost feel better if I read something like that on Cal for his inexplicably ****** coaching, attitude and treatment of players on this team. I'd be pissed, but I'd "get it." Instead, we pay this man $9 million a year to act like a complete dipshit.

Who on this team is getting to the rim and finishing with 7 seconds left in the game? We are practically at the whim of the ref's whistle if that was the play. A wide open shot for Allen, which is pretty close to a coin flip, is among the best possible opportunities for this team.

Yep, no problem with that play. Just basically the previous 27 games.

No problem with the last play , it just didn’t fall in. I mean how many fukn times has that happened to us this season. I think Sarr had missed at least three game winners himself.

I’ve said it before if BJ Boston wasn’t on the team and Dontaie got all his minutes we would still be a **** basketball team but we would have won’t a few more games OOC and conference both and still made the tournament. Also we would have been jacked at a sophomore Dontaie Allen.

I’m about 75% sure he is going to transfer

When you're the worst team in the history of the school, you're gonna miss the game winner. All of them. Because, you know.....YOU'RE THE WORST TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL.

Time to reboot the entire program.

Step 1: Day after the season ends give Barbee and Justus their walking papers
Step 2: Name John Belein Associate Head Coach and let him take the offense
Step 3: Time to bridge the gap with the fanbase. Ditch the checkerboards. Embrace the past. Go back to Maui. No more dumb neutral site games.
Step 4: Have the social media team create one of those cutesy videos with Calipari's opening press conference quotes intertwined with the entire history, not just Cal's history.
Step 5: Get the focus back on the program, not the NBA. 2009-15 ain't walking through that door.

Feel free to add on

Time to reboot.

Agree, but an athletic department that just used an irrelevant excuse to cancel the spring football game completely is not worried about bridging the gap with the fan base.

IDGAF about UK baseball, but the Mingione contract is almost as mind blowing as Cal's substitution patterns. IDK WTF is going on over there. If someone came up with a good conspiracy theory, I'd consider buying it.

Underrated part of this being the last loss: No more circle jerking about how long ago we all saw this coming!

Cal says they didn't give up this season.

I guess we're just digging for positives but what does that mean? How do you quantify it? They didn't turn in their uniforms and go home? They didn't refuse to play? Okay, I guess. Sounds like a literal participation trophy.

Finishing the season like that completely kills any off season hype, too. Probably won't give a sh!+ about UK basketball until the first tip next November. Hard to have any expectations moving forward when a relatively talented team just sucks *** from start to finish.

Sign Hardy and Powell. Bring back Mintz, Allen, Brooks, and maybe Boston and we might be able to pretend none of this happened.

(until we lose to Liberty in November)

For the sake of comparison, here are the Kenpom ranks of Tubby's last 5 teams vs Cal's last 5:

Tubby:

13
24
9
10
1

Cal:

50
29
8
17
4

Certainly, Cal has good line of credit built from the accomplishments of the first 6 seasons, but it's hard not to notice the stagnation when compared to the Tubster. We need to make some drastic systematic changes, ranging from how we market to recruits to our strategic tendencies. The "OAD" approach has become corrupt while at the same time we've been playing 2000's style basketball. Those vectors have been impacting us at various levels in recent seasons, but this year's team experienced a strong negative force from both.
