What 80 said.

Ranking months really comes down to:

- weather
- sports
- vacation
- events
- best time to catch smallmouth bass at Dale Hollow

FYI.
Don't forget to consider running across bumfuk and cheating on girlfriends when factoring which month you like best.

Team80Proof, best time of the year for trophies of various species and walking banks while doing it keeps you in shape. Btw, crappie and bass are feeding heavily right now and my friends freezers are filling up fast. As far as rain this time of year get a set of Frogg Toggs and go catch a mess. Beats just bitching about it being miserable.

I keep hearing talk of Sarr being able to come back if he so chooses.

First inclination due to some maddening play is to have him GTFO.

I am firmly in the camp of Sarr coming back if he wants.

I used to be like Anth. Mad at the world. Pissed off about things not going my way. Complaining about the weather. Holding grudges when people insulted my heritage. Getting into political squabbles. Frustrated about infection control decisions, vaccine distribution and basketball rotations. Telling people to “get pumped” or “to F off.”

But then Monday morning of this week came around and I just let it all go.

Now, I’m seeing bluer skies, turning that angst into optimism, taking joy in seeing my buddy Bonzo knocking balls in flipflops, laughing at PTI posts, looking back fondly on Facebook memories, just smiling more.

I’m not saying I’m a better human than Anth - just that I’m a better human right now.

- I'm all for optimism, especially this time of year, but as a fellow Wildcat Friend - don't do this. I care about ya.

- Also, I'm going to take the weather breaks while I can (and March really is outdoing itself this year!). . . But in the back of my mind I know winter isn't done with us. Not yet. Don't think we're going to ride this sucker on out into Derby season, then summer. Do do it. I care about ya.

- If you have watched them enough this year, you know that the only thing that separates this Gonzaga team from the hated Duke teams of the past is just their uniform. I found them to be very loathsome and irritating last night, especially Drew Timme. Rooting for someone to beat their ***.

- Is Mark Pope allowed to coach somewhere else? How does that work? Do they have to sign papers to let him leave the compound? Is there some sort of blood sacrifice? Would love him to at least get an interview after Cal retires.

Jersey Mike's is awesome, but the Broadway store's parking lot is possibly the biggest mess in town. A perfect example of city rules screwing up something that should be simple.

2021 Basketball team, Brooks Mayer, and February weather. Only things that get me wound up these days.

What else am I going to do? Work next week?

Get pumped! Go Cats!

Was WAY out in front of this, and was ridiculed for my take, and I’d suggest not doing this to yourself honestly.

Wait until after we take a bad L to bring this up.

Sarr should have to endure a grueling right of passage to prove his toughness if he wants to return like swimming across the English Channel with a midget on his back or something of the like.
I like the idea of LA Familia coming in over the Summer and beating his *** up and down the court while dog cussing him and making insensative slurs pertaining to his home country.

Hell, bring in Bledsoe and ole man Magloire.

* Not sure what one of the state leaders in vaccination has to do with maximizing your commission haul but there's this little thing called the Internet that allows some of us to work anywhere, anytime

* Snagged tickets to Thurby in the Skye Terrace. Figure they'll put guardrails on us patrons but touch it, being back under the Twin Spires will be worth it.

* Noon, noon, 1 o'clock, 1 o'clock. Four day afternoon buzz on deck to cut down the Bridgestone nets.

* Speaking of Churchill Downs, anyone checked out Matt Winn's Steakhouse (😱) yet? Meeting a lassie at the speakeasy next week.

Powell lives by me here in Prospect. I know his Dad decently. Texted him last night. He knows I'm a UK fan so I don't know how honest he was with me. But he claims Mich and UL are the front runners. Said it was way early though and they were " letting the dust settle".
Did they pass the rule this year that SEC players wouldn't have to sit out a year if they transferred in conference, because of covid?

* Touch it. If we win tomorrow, I'm heading down to Nashville for Friday's game.

They might just need my support to beat Clark's Crimson Tide. And Goshdarnit, I'm going to give it to them.

However, if they lose tomorrow, they can get pumped.

* Chadwick, Jerzee's next Friday for the early games?

We win Friday then trust Scratch gives a wink and gun to the field on Selection Sunday. No doubt in my mind about that.

Regardless, the SEC can get pumped. I hate every last one of them (save for my Gamecocks) and hope they all lose at everything. I'll just never get over the lack of solidarity during the 2015 run. These hoes ain't loyal, man.

Florida Derby bound in a few weeks. Even presenting a trophy in one of the races that day for one of our manufactures, so be looking for Ol Huber on the TVG March 28th.

Brings me to Florida Derby attire. I've been going for years with my crew (40 - 70 year olds). We just can't do suites or one of the nice restaurants at Gulfstream because the old guys in the group (70+) get blackout drunk, try to pull tail unrelentlessly, pass out mid day from alcohol poisoning, smoke cigs non stop, and general are a pack of grey haired ******** trying to molest any female who talks to them. We always get a table in one of the normal "shorts and golf shirts", non stuffy restaurants Derby day and save seats at the Paddock bar with our bartender Ziggy whos been taking care of us for years.

This year the Derby is closed to the general public and we are sitting in the suites and I'm legit worried about what the older guys in our group will do to embarrass me in front of clients or generally get us kicked out of the damn thing.

-Which brings me to my next issue. Florida Derby Attire. Gulfstream in the general area is strange. The women get dressed up with hats and dresses like it's the Kentucky Derby, but the guys wear their cleanest pair of shorts, some boat shoes, and some form of shirt with a fish on the back. Owners and trainers are rocking suits (no tie) like they're back in KY, but what does one wear that doesn't want to have 4 pounds of gold bond on, and who sweats like a pig at the thought of Florida heat? A Suit? At the Florida Derby?

As I'm trying to figure out Derby attire, this is all I can find that just makes sense. Too loud? Enough ventilation?
