Different strokes for different folks, but I’d opt out of SS and Medicare in a hot second if I could keep the taxes, even if I didn’t see the employee portion reflected in my pay.
You should probably talk to your financial advisor about the wisdom of giving up SS and Medicare so you can keep 7.65% of your income. They would tell you honestly what I am thinking right now.Different strokes for different folks, but I’d opt out of SS and Medicare in a hot second if I could keep the taxes, even if I didn’t see the employee portion reflected in my pay.

I am my financial advisor and I'd give up every single government entitlement if I could keep the taxes from them. I'm fine paying for military or roads/bridges, but IDGAF about social security. The math says it will be gone before I'm eligible anyway, unless our payments into it go up significantly very soon. You should probably talk to your financial advisor about the wisdom of giving up SS and Medicare so you can keep 7.65% of your income. For the majority of people yes. That's absolutely true. It also is risk free which is a massive benefit. The only real loss is for high earners on Medicare. Medical costs don't change so high earners do not receive as much benefit fromedicare as they put in. On SS you don't pay taxes on your additional earnings and you get benefits based on how much you made up to the max. It's hard to value the risk free part. With a private system people retiring in like 2000-2007 would have all been screwed. Why has the rolleyes emoji gone away?
Are you seriously going to try to argue that if someone simply put 7.65% of their gross income over their working lifetime in a generic index fund every month, that the wealth created would not (in all probability) vastly outweigh the benefit from social security and medicare?
We all get SS and Medicare and despite the people who supposedly hate socialism we all will enjoy it and get good mileage from it in the sunset of our lives.

I'm all in on the Cats tomorrow at noon. I'll be excited if we win, and pissed if we lose.
All you hosers acting like you don't care are just typical fairweather fans. Lots of "superfan" credentials are being revoked.

as someone who won't see a dime from SS or Medicare
He will get to tell his side.Piece of **** shouldn't have been antagonizing a good boy like that, imo. Only option is to put the staffer down.
Been doing this for about a month now, that and almond milk. Who knows if it helps??- Adding collagen powder to coffee in the morning (it sounds gross, but I promise it's tasteless and not grainy) is also a good way to get in an extra protein serving without noticing.
- As someone who won't see a dime from SS or Medicare, yeah, I'd gladly have all that in my paycheck and invest it. Why the hell would I want to dump more of my money into the bloated corpse of the US government, again?
You seem like a perfect candidate for the delta 8 thc-It finally feels like we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with Covid (hopefully). I've been taking advantage of the weather and it seems as though many in Newport are doing the same. It's refreshing to see more and more people enjoying drinks on the patio and walking about.
-March is easily my favorite month of the year due to the impending weather change, plants starting to sprout, conference tourneys/NCAA tournament, selection Sunday, Spring Training in the MLB, practice reports from the football team where everyone is getting "bigger, stronger, faster."
In essence, March has always been filled with optimism from me.
-I haven't been able to partake in any cannabis for the past few weeks due to getting a job offer. It really sucks that a combat veteran does not have legal access to marijuana...it's much better than the legal alternative of alcohol or the 5 different medications that I'm prescribed for PTSD/Insomnia/Depression.
-I've been watching a lot of stand-up lately, Mitch Hedberg is definitely in my top 3 - I've been watching everything I can find from him over the past few days.

-Speaking of weed, our greenhouses in Colorado that I was working on/invested in are almost complete, both have an 1,800 plant capacity and we should have our first crop by late June. The initial plan is to harvest about 50 lbs per week once we get things dialed in.
-There's no such thing as a former Jar Head - "Once a Marine, always a Marine."
But yeah, we are a crazy group for the most part.
-Done rambling.
- Anyone hating on March has the worst takes of all time. This weather, the sunshine,
