A drive through Mississippi or any city in Alabama that's parallel to Montgomery would really make you feel good about your own town's topography.

Birmingham, and its surrounding area, has actually exceeded expectations in living here. It's easily separated itself from my time living in Louisville, Charlotte, Columbus, Chattanooga, Tuscaloosa, Lexington, Holland Mich, and Bowling Green OH (Especially).

-its an argument that media/self loathing leftists in flyover country trot out for whatever reason.

^lots of folks in ky pay a metric **** ton in taxes and receive the same *benefits* as folks in similar positions that live in nyc/cali etc. In short: leave us out of the self flagellation, please.

The point about weed and gambling is the same. Every 14 year old in the country can get weed in 30 minutes. It's here, it's not going anywhere, it's readily available.
The only difference is WHO do you want to benefit, cartels making billions a year, or your state for roads, education, etc?

This doesn't seem that hard.

Again I don’t smoke, but even in the illegal city of louisville I can find a bag within 20 minutes, and have edibles delivered within 2 hours.

I don’t understand the issue of it being legal other than our govt is inefficient with money and needs more of it to waste.

But to each their own.

How much can the government really tax weed before it makes more sense to go back to underground distribution / growing your own?

For alcohol, the tax rate would have to be really high before I start trying to make my own beer or find a moonshiner. But I assume the “processing” cost for weed is pretty low and therefore there’s a pretty low limit in terms of what they can tax.

Bowling Green, OH looks like a gray cloud even on a bright day.
Obviously you just arent one who enjoys the occasional weekend getaway to Toledo, or can't appreciate a town with the slogan "Welcome to Bowling Green- just 60 miles to Cedar Point"

Regardless- it's still much better than Bowling Green, Kentucky, as are most all places not in third world countries

No chance. Way too much going on in my life to spend a second stoned and relaxed.

But it’s so damn easy to get I don’t understand wanting it legal. Sure today it sounds great, but I can promise you from what I’ve learned about alcohol laws you will regret wanting this.

I will admit to eating a brownie from wherever my wife gets edibles delivered and I was so high the night before my moms funeral I couldn’t even go to sleep. So she then fed me a muscle relaxer and I felt like a million the next morning!

Imagine how much cash and success you’re giving up by tapping that *** every day. It adds up.

To be fair, krazy skips all the boring making out beforehand so it is pretty efficient. Well needed, too, imo. Imagine that knucklehead running around every day without getting his balls drained.

100% chance he would be in jail for a long time, even during COVID when you practically have to cut some one's head off to get locked up before the trial that the Supreme Court is perfectly fine delaying indefinitely.

You could buy a $50 bag of weed on the black market and get high for a couple weeks. You can buy that at a store for $35 or $40. You can buy a vape cartridge that will last you a couple months for $50 though. That's what the free market gets you. New and improved products

- Speaking of B'ham, I'm moving to the Magic City shortly. Spent a lot of time there in the past but as my vision (probably) continues to deteriorate, I will need increasing assistance and my brother and sister-in-law live down there.

-- My best friend (who also lives in Alabama) and his wife are like a brother and sister to me and do not do drugs whatsoever but went to a dispensary and got some edibles while out in Vegas recently and they were bombed out of their minds according to them. I still lol at the thought of it.

Enjoyed a nice reverse sear NY Strip, smoked Gouda Mac n Chz and some cornbread.

About to sip on some 1792 Sweet Wheat and finish a few blueprints fell behind on.

It really bothers me that you all see me as such a dumbass, because I am a dumbass, but I’m a lucky MFer and sometimes that **** counts!

Cheers

Around here if you do something cool, eat something great, achieve anything, like UK Sports, travel anywhere, or basically do anything fun... you're a loser. Heaven forbid you spend a little money on something you enjoy. Key is to be the most miserable cynical asshat to earn respect around these parts.
