PS: took my girls on a campus tour of Louisville two weekends ago ....that was my first visit to Louisville & it seemed like a nice town for bourbon tours - easy to navigate and whatnot
As for the campus .....it’s very centralized
And they cite MULTIPLE security services and programs available to assist and protect young ladies who are leaving their car and walking on / off campus (three people actually applauded)
i ate at El Bandito afterwards and — DAMN that was the best part of the whole experience
There’s a Bandido’s location in Lexington right next to UK’s campus. No need to go to Louisville.

Rolled into Murfreesboro airport for the charter and was in the air in five minutes. Two hours later and a quick ferry ride to Sunset Key Cottages. Lots of Don Julio so don’t remember much after sunset. But the sunset is amazing here.

Just sold a lumber pack to a person that has no business buying from me. His childhood friend(and they are boys) is my competitor. I’ve known this guy since bartending here in this small town of Mount Washington and even met and know the reasons all the locals buy from said competitor.
If you know me in real life you know I’m a believer in some sort of higher power regardless of what “it” is. This would be one of those times I’d think I’m getting a sign.
However, and I won’t go in details yet, I know there are signs pushing me in my bourbon venture so I’m kind of feeling 10’ tall and bullet proof today.

March is fine but I find it amusing when people act like a magic switch turns on March 1 and all of a sudden it’s 73 and sunny.
It’s nice to see light at the end of the tunnel but more often than not in March it’s high 40’s to mid 50’s with a ton of rain. Give me 30’s and sunny over the slop fest in March.

March to me offers the hope that we are closer to boat season. Brady, glad you liked it. It’s the best. Granted I prefer the warm Florida waters, but lake life is more convenient living around here.

February is very cold and dark with bad weather and not much sunlight. This is bad!

- Getting my parents vaccinated this weekend didn't generate the excitement in me that I anticipated. Probably because my mom has had such a steep decline over the past six weeks that I'm just mentally (and physically) exhausted. Happy for Dad, because he can still get out and do things and feel better about it now.
It was a pretty crazy scene at Kroger Field. Hundreds in line, most 70+, wrapped from Gate 10 all the way around to the BCTCS side of the stadium. Still, the line moved pretty steadily, and it was about as organized and smooth of a process as that kind of thing could be. Got in line at 2, back in car by 3. Can't complain one bit about how UK coordinated it.
Already mentioned it on the Twitter, but a bonus was standing in front of Tom Hammond and his wife in line at one point. Couldn't have been nicer. Talked for 15 minutes about broadcasting, the Olympics, etc, the old Jefferson-Pilot days, etc. One of the all-time underrated greats on the mic. A real thrill for ol' KL.
- Really disappointed that I missed that Michigan/OSU game, though. Sounds like a classic.
- The entire 1987 and 1988 Sweet Sixteen title games ended up on YouTube last Spring and I hadn't noticed. So I spent a good bit of Saturday night watching Farmer vs. Houston I. Crazy how good both offenses were. The 3-point line wasn't in effect for HS yet, but there was still great spacing, ball movement, mid-range shooting...the works, really. Mark Bell was even more of a jet than I remembered. Houston was already showing glimpses but hadn't yet grown into his game. And while Richie got all the attention, I was always more of a Russ Chadwell guy.
What a great throwback, seeing Bobby Keith stalk the sideline, Rupp filled to near-capacity, and even (I think) some faint sounds of John Tong on the PA mic.
- First saltimbocca ever on Sunday. Fan.
