I don't think so. I think defenses strategize to prevent 3s and dunks. 17 footers are easy -- so this pack of scrubs takes them all day without conscious while Cal cashes checks on his lifetime contract.

I'd love to see our first half shot chart vs. the 2nd half. We were 3s and layups in the first half. When we strayed from that we were pretty damn lucky and made a lot of them anyway. But this half has been lazy jump shots all the way. Luckily UT doesn't seem to be able to do much about it because we've played pretty good defense here. Lot of improvement to like thus far, but our offensive coaching is still a work in progress.

Toppin is still figuring out how to play. He looks like a great Dane puppy at times trying to get his feet right. Once he learns coordination, he's going to be really good.

Brooks stuffs the sheet & is arguably our best playmaker overall. He’s led us in assists several times even when having a “bad” night.

Draymond style is his most valuable role.

The PJ return leap is ambitious, but i could absolutely see, and expect, something at least *somewhat* similar, and he will have an extry 1/2 year.

Their overall game & skill set aren’t much different overall, PJ was just obviously much better at the end of his soph year. But he also played Starter minutes his entire 2 years without missing a half season on a historically awful team.

Brooks hasn’t played starter minutes since he arrived. I don’t think he will ever be as good, here or NBA, but as a Jr or even Sr he could have a similar impact on this team.
