How the hell are some of you getting the vaccine? I'm pretty positive you are not over 65 and damn sure not a front line health care worker.
I had to fight a room full of octogenarians to get it, but they're all gonna die soon anyway so it wasn't much of a struggle. After greasing a few administrator palms and sneering at some cancer patients, I was able to run past the diabetics and get to the front of the line.

I heard they were going to stop production of the vaccine too, so nobody else will be able to get one. Sad.

Full Name and DOB is a decent start for someone looking to do that ish.

But hey, some people like throwing out every bit of personal info on FB that they can. Which baffles me as well.

Imagine if you will, the things in my life that are too Krazy to share that makes what I do share seem normal!

But I’m no Voinyabitch, no mercy is expected not even from a goosefeeder.

Here in Florida, we seem perpetually stuck on Desantis' "seniors first" policy. So, unless you are 65 years of age or older, or have been identified by a hospital to be "extremely" at risk, you can't get the vaccine. And that doesn't seem to be changing any time soon.

Must really blow to have to wait your turn while the at-risk are being protected. Puppies scent

Playing 4-5 straight games in the SEC tourney might be beneficial to this bunch. They don't have to wait those 3-7 days between games, thinking/hearing how awful they are. Maybe they can get on a roll and just keep playing. We have another month to improve. Until they cancel conference tournaments, I'm holding out hope.

UK basketball has given me many great moments/ memories. The least I can do is stick around through the tough times and keep watching, no matter how horrifically grotesque it looks.

If you've jumped ship though, I certainly don't hold it against you. This year is 88-89 bad, as far as the product on the court. I never thought I would see that again. Change better come!

Well, I think the mistake is that the truly "at risk" people under 65 - those with cancer and other conditions - are having to wait in line behind seniors.

Wouldn't those people be included with the at risk qualifier that you included in your post?

We shutdown society to protect the most at-risk. Marcus jab them first before moving down to us essential but not 65+.

I'd probably take it if it was going to be a wasted dose but I am in no hurry and would rather it just go oldest to youngest and most sick to least sick.

Well, you do have a trillion seniors there, as well as health care/front line workers. So you really aren't "stuck" at all....priorities and patience.

So basically how it should have went across the other 49 states. Just like anything else social status determined 90% of the people that received it.

with each healthcare worker that declined their allotted dose the red carpet was rolled out for the in crowd to jump the elderly and high risk patients that have in all liklihood stayed at home for the better part of a year. Cancelled christmases, thanksgivings, and will probably cancel Easter.
Also to stay with the times I would like to see the numbers on racial demographics for those who aren’t high risk, elderly, or a healthcare worker and still received the shot in front of those people

Video footage obtained from doorbell cameras at several homes in the area captured at least one gunshot and showed cars fleeing the scene, according to the report.

These doorbell cams are something else. Yesterday it helped the POS see the FBI approach so he unloaded on them through the closed door and the next day they're helping to catch murders. What a time to be alive and monitored!

What's the problem with this? I mean, you probably shouldn't have 'essential' 30 somethings rushing to the front of line ahead of Diabetic Boomer Dad but whatever, I guess.

DeSantis just killing everyone. Hopefully he'll write a book about it soon.

COVID AND THE OLDS:

- My grandma is a Florida snowbird and told me last weekend she doesn't think she can (physically) handle getting the vaccine. Apparently, the lines are hours long, and she has multiple lumbar fractures and can't stand more than a few minutes at a time or handle car rides over 20 minutes or so. Grandpa is getting his vaccine through VA, and he would probably beat the door down to get it, but dang it, this is why the family wants you to stay north where able-bodied family could assist, olds. Sigh.

- Meanwhile, my other grandparents actually believe in the efficacy of essential oils and are refusing the vaccine. (This is on brand, since they believe the flu vaccine is poison.) Describing how my boyfriend's two uncles and aunt labored in the hospital with covid did not help convince them otherwise, nor did the news that one of those uncles succumbed. His funeral is tomorrow. (Covid didn't kill him directly, probably; but it was the straw that broke the camel's back. His body was just too weak from the virus and the ensuing pneumonia and all his other issues got him.)

Olds, man. Gotta protect them. But sometimes we can't protect them from themselves.

NON COVID THINGS:

The Iron Sheik is my favorite thing on social media. Consistently calling out jabronis on the daily, it's perfect.

Related: I watched the Royal Rumble last weekend and...I loved it. I didn't grow up on wrestling and knew none of the women other than Charlotte Flair, and only a handful of the dude names, but this is where I am getting my sports kicks in 2021, I guess. Kayfabe is the antidote to Sunday scaries.

August-west, are you a watch repair person?

Wife dropped her Rolex a few months ago. She got the repair price from the authorized dealer and it was crazy (5K). They said it had to be shipped off to Rolex for the repair. No way would we do that.

With that said, she has had the watch since graduating college and it has a lot of sentimental value. Will non-Rolex guys repair?

-I'm not as impressed that SAE was able to beat seniors and cancer patients to the front of the line, they're old and feeble, IV cords, canes, wheel chairs, getting in the way. I'm just impressed he beat teachers. What a feat in this state. Did you have to wear a red shirt with a glitter poster when in line, just to throw them off the scent?

-Back to about 95%, voice still gone. Bourbon, mucinex, nyquil, hour on the bike, green tea, throat coat tea, some hippy **** WS has therapeutic cocktail seems to have done the trick.

-Ricola Cherry Honey cough drops are D-O-P-E.

-Little fishing day trip with my good buddy 80 on Friday, dinner at Ruby's that night, tiny super spreader event Sat, recover Sundy.

-Eat clean(ish), lift like a crazy, cardio, chug protein, pre-workout. Real meat head ****. Goal of best shape of my adult life coming in my 40th year still on track.

-Looks like the weekend weather is going to be alright, next week is Cold AF though. That's alright, just get through it. 25 days until Viva la revolución.

Anybody our age should be ashamed of getting the vaccine at this stage. Congrats on the elderly blood on your hands.
