Don't remember who made the 3 google shirt. Finally had to say goodbye to mine. I destroyed the print in short order from I guess washing/drying incorrectly that was one of my favorites for the few times I did wear it.

That was my favorite Cats shirt other than the "United States of Basketball" one I had as a kid. Miss you, Doron.

Memory is a funny thing. Someone earlier made a post about if Monk had gone off from three in the regional final. So that got me to wondering what he did do for three in the game, so I looked up the ESPN play by play from that game.

Monk was three for six from three, but the most interesting thing is that, contrary to my memory of that game, at no point did Derek Willis have a shot in the air that would have put us up seven or eight late after the Humphries flurry.

Unless the ESPN play-by-play is incorrect, and I damn sure do not feel like looking at the recording again.

Willis missed a wide open 3 that would have put us up a couple scores, and he took that shot after Humphries was subbed out even though he was on fire. Willis was a huge gash and f that game.

UK was up 5 with 5 to go (sound familiar....Wisconsin) after Humpries hit a long jumper. UNC went on an 8-0 run in 2:20 to go up 3. Willis was subbed in during that stretch after Humpries missed one shot. He had a corner 3 at 2:24 to tie it and missed. the rest of the game was Malik Monk then heart ache.

That’s right. Humphries missed a baseline jumper to put us back up five, and I think my mind mixed it up with the later Willis miss.

I don’t remember certain individual plays in that game, because I had spent the first part of that day helping one of my best friends move, and we were both **** faced drunk by the end. Josh and Monk hit big shots, that unnamed Ref screwed us, and I felt bad watching Bam and Fox in the locker room afterwards....was a pretty ****** day all around.

Tshiebwe has only been playing basketball for a little over 6 years. He is a soon to be 22 year old Sophomore that looks like The Nigerian Nightmare Christian Okoye. I mean 6-9 270 lbs, with his looks, half of this team of gashes will piss down both legs at his first barking command. When you are a grown *** man from Lubumbashi, Congo, you *** commands respect. Just what they need instead of a coddling head coach who lets them sleep over. I bet Boston looks like the picture of the little GAF PG (Ryan Harrow) laying in bed with his poodle. That was the first red flag, brothers don't have no GD poodle for a dog. Pit, Rot, etc. Poodle ? GTFO with that noise.

Still can not get used to Fox not having his Jheri Curl / hair plugs. Looks like a totally different person and about 5 years younger.

Tell you what, my boy Keldon is maturing before our very eyes. Who would have seen that coming ? last night, he had a cool 25/10/3.

Averages this year - 15 ppg / 7.5 rpg / 2.2 apg. 54% 2Fg / 35% 3FG / 79% FT

64-59 and UNC went on a 10-0 run.......7 of the 10 were that Maye kid hitting a 3 while Willis acted as if he never defended anyone on the perimeter, and then Maye abused him in the post in back to back positions.

I don’t remember that live, but what I do remember is Fox hitting a 3, and then Monk hitting back to back 3’s in the final 30 seconds to tie the game, and they were not ordinary 3’s as they were extremely contested and almost a joke that he hit them, both!

That’s the last UK team I just absolutely believed in. Last year was getting there and I’d had loved to see the tournament, but Fox/Monk/Bam was a pure joy to watch.

Maye had 4 points in the final 10 minutes. 2 free throws in the 10-0 run you mention and then the buzzer beater.

There weren’t any late 3s or back to back abuses of Willis

Well, you are right. The stretch I mentioned was at the 11 minute mark.

Just for you.....

Well the stretch you mentioned was specifically a 10-0 run starting at 64-59 lol and the stuff you mentioned didn’t happen in that run.

But yes, Maye hit a 3 on a pump fake vs Willis and got a bucket on him down low. Willis also hit a turnaround on Maye and then hit an alleyoop with Bam during the same stretch.

It’s my hatboggan because after all these years I can’t tell if it’s a bit or not. Which makes it genius. He’s GYERO’s Andy Kaufman.

It’s a bit and as usual, PTI is an idiot. He’s met Cawood- dude dresses like every other Lexington prepster in this thread.

I think I will wait and see before I pin all my hopes and dreams on poor man's Danny Fortson who washed out under the one coach who should be able to coach him.

This ILL/IND game should have been the early game making the late game miss at least half their game.

Speaking of 22 year old sophomores - my nephew is in 7th grade and turned 13 in September, right on track to graduate as an 18 year old. A family moved in from Cali and one of the kids is in 7th grade. He is tall and a good athlete with basketball being best sport because of the height. Well.......turns out he turned 15(!!) in August.

Kid will be driving to school as an 8th grader next year and he will be a 22 year old (true) sophomore.

That hat needs a cute grampa with overalls underneath it. Then it’s perfect.

One of these days, in the not too distant future, I plan on wearing a pair of bibs with a non discreet block UK hat, every day. ZFG. Hell, I may even throw on a pair of suspenders just for funsies.
