Good news is my mom who comes down to watch the baby every day is staying the night so I just ordered us a pizza from LaRosa’s and we’re going to find a good movie.
Just checking in here post dinner - my mom who comes up to watch the baby every day is also staying the night at our house and we also ordered LaRosa’s. But dinner ended abruptly when my 3 y.o. threw piece of breadstick to the dog... for no reason at all! She just likes to see the world burn.

“Barry Lyndon” is worth a watch on HBOMax, IMO.

Well you’ll also be happy to know that I rolled down to Jerry’s to grab a vegetarian panini for my LaRosa’s-hatin’ wife. Just a helluva night all along.

Watched a documentary on Kubrik, and a good deal of it was dedicated to the lenses he used to film Barry Lyndon (all shot in natural light) they weren't even made anymore and he adapted them to the cameras, and the resulting depth of field (or rather the lack of it), gave it such a unique look on film.

It’s a shame they blew up Riverfront Stadium because retired clown was born to be an usher there. Just the right level of surly imo.

I love that part. Somebody eventually realizes what he’s doing (buying them from storage at a big studio) and tell them to stop selling them immediately.

They killed him off for trying to expose the world pedophile rings of the elite in Eyes Wide Shut, IMO. He tried to blow the lid off this Epstein stuff back then after he had been exposed to it himself as the worlds best auteur. He died, lost final cut, and they chopped down his film. It’s all in there still but it was more blatant, I’d bet.

GYERO veteran K-Gar’s dad passed away from COVID. If you haven’t had the chance to read his tribute to him on Facebook, you should. It’s a touching tribute and rings true for many of us whose father introduced us to sports and our UK fandom.

If you still lurk, I’m sorry buddy and wish you and your family the best.

I think I had the pleasure of meeting his dad a couple times. And yeah, kind of your typical small town sports loving dad.

Strangely enough, K-Gar has some of the better sports stories you’ll hear. Lee County/Jonesville, VA somehow played Thomas & Julio Jones in football, and Oak Hill Academy in basketball.

So Chief, how much did you make today in the stock market?

And do you think Nokia is next?
Nothing yet. However, I made my money I put in back and still have 750 shares at no cost. Went down to 14 after hours so we will see.

No idea what is next but Nokia doesn't have a big enough short float to squeeze much. A bunch of people are pumping it so it might run a bit. I saw a mention of OPK and it has a higher short float%. Didn't do much today.

It's just about a dude that passes himself off as a dandy. The duel scene is great.

To each their own, I guess. I *hate* that movie and I love Kubrick. It is like Radiohead or a song by some legendary guitar player that actually sucks but everyone is supposed to like because of how good the artist is at his instrument. "I Wanna Be Sedated" is a better song than anything Stevie Ray Vaughn ever made, it just isn't cool to say. Same thing with Barry Lyndon.

Give me Jeremiah Johnson all day, every day.
