Romo was unique when he was calling out the plays before they happened. But BIG TV got to him and he isn’t unique anymore.

Romo isn't as unique as he was when he debuted but he's still better than Aikman or any other color guys that speak in nothing but cliches and simply summarize what you just watched, rather than diagnose and discuss strategy.

Driving around today and listened to a lot of the Packers v. Bucs game on radio and for my money, Kevin Harlan is by far the best play-by-play man in the biz. Paints a great picture of what's going on, dials up the inflection when warranted and doesn't dumb it down for the audience.

I get that this is likely true at this moment in Casa Krazy, but I don't get that Brady could retire "on top" if Tampa wins as if he's not the top QB now. If he wanted to retire 'on top' he could have done that many times.

Congrats as always on the Dirk Diggler level sex and keep being awesome!

I think most everyone would consider retiring after winning the super bowl “going out on top”

I went for a jog during the first half of the Packers game and listened to Harlan and Kurt Warner on I Heart Radio. Harlan’s the absolute best. Almost just went with the radio broadcast over TV when I got back.

Romo is fine but they could maybe give that gal Debbie thats been calling our games from her living room a shot

I’m still chuckling at this one.

I’m wondering what we possibly did that was so bad that we deserve the punishment of watching the shittiest team in modern UK history with every game being called by Debbie, Jimmy or Dick.

If one of you touchers stole something from an ancient temple or something, put it back now. I’d really appreciate it.

My general interest level in sports, period has waned as I've gotten older.

This. Outside of UK Football or the occasional PGA tourney, I rarely watch sports these days. Just prefer doing other stuff than sitting for 2-3 hours watching a game. I used to watch non stop on Sat & Sun but just not that important to me anymore.

- Here's about as clear an indicator that we are living in heady times for Kentucky football as I can think of...Kentucky got a commitment from a 4-star kid out of Michigan over the weekend, and it barely registered (other than the standard coverage from UKFB media).

- I miss Romo "calling" plays too, but he's still so perceptive and explains things so well. Aikman sounds like Uncle Rico and gives you nada.

- An addendum to last week's fast-food fries/chicken discussion....Raising Cane's can get out with its chicken "sandwich". It's absolutely unacceptable that any restaurant's chicken sandwich consist of three tenders just thrown onto a bun. Breast or get out.*

*leave it alone, Boat.

- A small thing that I still find fascinating...retro branding. Love it when a brand uses its old look again. Restaurant chain (Burger King being the latest example), product (Tostitos rolled out its old logo recently), sports franchise (Padres switching back to brown)...love not only the clean, classic look, but I guess the nostalgia is a pretty powerful thing for me, too.

- "Cobra Kai" is full of cheesy dialogue, wooden acting, and implausible plots, but it is absolutely binge-worthy fun.

I mean who didn't watch that show and other shows like it as a kid and think "I would destroy all these losers that get on the show"?

🤣 💯

I was always surprised that no little kid ever punched one of the Mayans who jumped out in the maze in the junk. I guarantee that would have happened if kids from Eastern Kentucky were on that show. Probably would have stripped the copper from the set on the way out, too.

* If Cal and Co. come out with some heart to avenge the ***-whipping Alabama put on us in Rupp, I'll maintain some faint glimmer of hope that this won't be a 20 loss team. I completely understand fans who are hoping this season is such a trainwreck that Calipari has to publicly change and I was the same way until the LSU game. But that game gave me hope.

Maybe I am a battered spouse who hopes Calipari stops drinking and beating me.

* This weather is the worst. Absolute worst. I can deal with cold but dreary 35 degree rain for days on end eats at me. I might go to the tanning bed, as fruity as that is.

* Nickelodeon back in the day was the tits. Camp Salute Your Shorts, Rugrats, even Dragnet on Nick at Nite was awesome.

We would basically have to lose every remaining game to be a 20 loss team. Not impossible with this crew, but hope springs eternal.

-Bama beat us by 20 and didn't shoot very well. Not sure what the spread is but I'd take Bama.

-Skipped a home game this weekend for no other reason that I didn't feel like going. Not sure I've missed a game without a damn good reason ever.

-11 games left, the next 4 are all ranked, including 2 top 5 teams. Fairly certain we need to win out to get in the tourney. At worst we could probably afford 1 more loss. Fun times indeed.

-Will Wade is an idiot. Gracious. Why would you do anything other than make this team run half court sets? Had he watched any film? Hell, you're going to get an entry pass turnover on at least 50% of possessions. Let's see, wide open 3 or layup VS BJ Boston throwing Lance Ware an entry pass? Don't have to be super analytics guru Joel Justus to figure that one out.

-Cobra Kai is amazing.

-Not sure what to think of Wanda Vision. Is the whole season going to be like this or can we figure out what's happening?

-Debbie 🤣

-Losing the ability to nap is by far the worse thing about getting old. What the hell happened?

I’ve found as I’ve aged that the ability to take a nap is directly related to the amount of people in the house. At this point, for the most part. I’m the only one home during the day and I generally take a nap every day. Between 11-1, turn off the lights, close the shades, set phone for 20 minutes, sleep 15, profit.

It’s not the ability to nap...it’s the ability to wake and get going again after the nap. Once that engine’s going, got to keep it going. And if you shut it down? Marcus Welby call it a day.

I'm fine with waking up but I just hover in that place b/w awake and asleep. Never really getting any quality sleep. Whatever it is, it's f*cking annoying. I used to be able to nap on demand for any length of time.

The kids throwing ping pong balls into the buckets on the Bozo Show always made me the most frustrated. Sitting in the kitchen before school eating Cap’N Crunch watching (on a tiny 18” screen no less) some 7-8yo not able to throw a ping ball into a bucket less than 3 feet away. I mean...
I even set up some tin buckets and “practiced” in the kitchen with a ping pong ball. Could routinely get to the 3rd one. Was always amazed at those little *****’ inability to even make the first one. Disgusted me, really.

Before covid when I drove to BFE all the time, I was the champion of car naps. I had accepted my likely fate as a victim of vagrant murder while napping in my driver's seat. I want Keith Morrison narrating my Dateline episode.

Being home all the time during quarantine, oddly, and then later starting a prescription stimulant really cut into my naps. I miss them. RIP.

I've never been a nap person. I have trouble sleeping when the sun is up.

Nice little January Thunderstorm we have going. I hope it keeps up because I'll be done with my days work in a couple of hours and I want to be lazy on the couch with it raining.

Took my old *** a couple of days to recover from my fishing/drinking trip. Shew-wee

Gave an employee a raise last week and they responded that it was an insult. Might see how they like a pink slip this week.

I should probably stick to my diet for lunch, but today is screaming comfort food.

After a year of being stay home dad, I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel again. Time to get back in the groove!
